Why do you put the plastic filter like you showed? In the past I thought that is the right way. Pin end hangs out of the gun, because to grab the filter is easier, isn't it? But in the close path I realised, the plastic filter wiggles little bit in the gun. If it has a little movement, that means it does not filter, due to the gaps...etc. So I flipped the plastic filter. Pin end goes first into the gun, then I screwed the pps tank into its place, then filter seems to be rock solid. No movement, looks good. So which method is the right one, what do you think?
Could you please do a video on clean up: when to clean (between coats?), what solvents to use (oil, urethane, etc)?
4:45 -- should we be wearing a wask during these tests/cleaning? I am just learning how to use these tools. I also wanted to ask what the minimum air compressor needed is and if a tankless compressor is able to be used. I want to paint small projects which are about 1-2ft cube. Also, what types of paints can be used?

How much are these tools?I got one for 20 bucks not sure if it was a bargain or not.
In another of your video, you say something like "on these cheaper guns they don't come with a mark on your fluid knob so it helps to scratch a mark onto it..." It looks like you're using the same kind of gun here. What gun are you using? Clearly, from the amount of equipment you spray you've found something you like, I'm sure more than I am curious about what cheap guns you like.
The best value in my opinion is the harbor freight gun when it goes on sale for $9.99, plus you can use a 20% off coupon. I buy them 5 at a time and toss em after a few jobs. I do also keep an eye on the home depot, tractor supply and lowes sales bins also. I dont do much automotive-related spraying, mostly AG stuff. The cheap HFT guns are adequate for most everything I spray.
@@unitedstatesofbuild4915 It's funny, I spray all sorts of stuff, from automotive to furniture to things like gym equipment. I have a few of the purple guns, and I keep trying to use them, but every time I do I end up grabbing a more expensive gun halfway through the job and finishing it. Usually, my problem with the purple guns isn't the quality of the spray, but the amount it puts down or how long it takes to put it down. The funny part is that the gun that I end up grabbing in a purple gun's place is the HFT ~$70 gun, and I currently have that gun and the purple gun disassembled in a tub and found that most of the parts inside the gun are the same, literally the same, same machining, same etching on the nozzle... there are only VERY minor changes that make it spray better.

What reason are you using a reducer and japan drier?
This particular job had to be out the next morning. The hardener coupled with the japan drier makes for a lightening quick dry-time. Thanks for watching!
I thought the reducer extends drying time.
The main function of reducer here is to thin the paint to a sprayable state. There are different speed reducers available. A slow reducer allows the paint to flow out and remain open. A fast reducer helps it flash off or dry quicker.
Don’t use that plastic filter in top of gun. Please!
It's not HVLP if you're using a compressor.
