This is some footage that I took a few weeks back in Loxley, Alabama and Hammond, LA. I really didn't introduce or end the video 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching!
Awesome stuff, we love this kinds of videos too!
Love seeing Buddy's native meadow. How neat that he didn't even seed it.
Jim, my dog heard your voice and started checking the screen for Holly. She apparently has even a canine fan club! 🐶
Thank you, Jim, Steph.
I love your kicks. Those laces are the best!!!!
That is so amazing how the burning has that effect on land!
Beautiful sky!!
Thanks Jim and Stephany. 🌺💚🙃😊
That’s cool, you caught a rainbow in the footage!
These videos are so helpful as I've been focusing on adding shrubs to my landscape this past year. Great information! As always.
It’s fascinating how long it takes and how much effort it takes to get these plants to market!
I have 3 White Wedding Hydrangeas..zero flopping after a hard rain..beautiful shrub and super tough!
I finally found a butterfly candy Lil Raspberry earlier this year...It has taken some time to start blooming but it is right now and that makes me happy! Love it. Have had zero luck finding the Roman Candle Podocarpus but I do have Mood Ring!
That's funny, Roman Candle is all over the place around here, but I can't find Mood Ring!
I love that even the creator of encore azaleas knows to make room for native meadow. I think of it as honoring the land. I love it! Kudos to him 👏🥰

“They can be any shape you want” my mind jumps right to Edward scissorhands’ crazy topiaries
better boxwood has been available all summer at Lowes in the Dallas Texas area. reasonable pricing too. much less than "plants by mail".
Love seeing the extra small home garden and then the huge expanse of the large nurseries. Really like the scale and scope of this channel.
Love my Encore azaleas (evergreen, pest free, lots of colors and re-bloom), & I recommend them to everyone! Thanks Buddy 👍👏💚
Love the road trip videos. Especially the various nursery visits.
Fantastic wildflower meadow. Bravo
I’m really hoping for some availability on Juliet cleyera next season!
I just ordered 3 of them.
Wilson Bros!!!
@@geraldhenderson8519 oh man! I’ve never heard of them but I’m going to check it out right now! Thanks!
@@geraldhenderson8519 I just ordered one!! I’d been looking for one locally and online for the past couple years with no success. I’m so excited to get this plant! Thanks again!!!!
We seem to get too much rain in Houston for butterfly bushes. Mine just don’t do well.
Don’t know why Panicle Hydrangeas aren’t popular here in Australia we don’t have the variety you guys have in the USA.
I think we only have about 6.
Buddleia will most defiantly get bigger than the tag if you dont prune it. Have a neighbor with a miss violet and they didnt prune it for probably 5 years and it was 6 by 6. This past winter it was killed to the ground now its only 3ft this season.
I have the encore autumn lily that got scorching from the extreme heat, I have them in pots. What can I do to rejuvenate them?
Thanks 😢

Can these grow in san antonio Texas
How many hours of direct sun can Encore Azaleas actually take? Zone 7B Middle TN
I’m in zone 7b and have not had a great time with my autumn ivory encore azaleas. Supposedly they do well in sun but I have found they don’t. I have two rows of them and one row they just keep dying even under irrigation. I am on my 3rd time replanting over ones that died, but I think I am giving up now. I also fertilize them late winter or early spring with azalea fertilizer. They don’t perform much on the second bloom as well. Overall disappointing, the rest of my foundation plants are doing well and I have over 100 because I have a large foundation.
@@ashdav9980 Thanks for the feedback.
I'm not impressed with Butterfly Candy (Lil Raspberry) that i purchased this spring. I got one bloom and the middle of the plant gets yellow leaves which eventually will fall off. The sides and top have nice leaves. This plant is in a container and has been fertilized twice with Flower- tone. I am careful not to over or under water them. It is in zone 6b and part sun. Help!
I would contact the nursery where you bought it from 🌼
Mine did the same in the pot before I transplanted it into ground. Once I got it in the ground and it regulated itself and adapted to its soil the leaf yellowing had stopped. It’s the pot. That’s the problem. They need to room to grow in the ground. I believe I saw that they don’t like much fertilizing as well. So I stayed away from doing that when I planted it. Good luck. 😊
Butterfly bushes are not good container plants. We had to sell them super fast in the nursery business because they don't look good in the container for very long
@JimPutnam Thanks, Jim, and everyone else. I plan on overwintering them in the garage, and if they survive, they'll go in the ground in the spring.
