Oh how I smiled when she spoke of double knit polyester quilts! My grandma made me a scrappy squares quilt. What’s really neat is it has scraps from the eight-gore skirts that I had sewed for myself. I placed this quilt in the back of every car since 1975! It wears like steel! I can think of my grandmother every time I get in my car!

Talking about polyester quilts. I repaired and saved a wonky polyester quilt of a Co-worker whose Aunt made it for him. I trimmed it even on both sides and added fabric on the right and left sides to make it wider. I used a med weight dark blue denim and added batting and new binding. It looks awesome! I was so pleased how it turned out! My Co- worker was thrilled!
I told him to use it instead of putting it in the closet... That polyester will never wear out!

Have my many ties washed and taken apart and wondering how to store so loving am the rolling and wrapping a rubber band around them and storing in a basket or a container. So much more efficient than laying them flat in a box.
