First Winter Journey to Zanskar's Remote SHADAY Village

- All about my first visit to the Shaday Village this winter. I went there on Jan 1st to celebrate their Losar Festival (Ladakhi New Year) and ended up having one of the best travel experiences of my life.
This video would not have been possible without the help of my friend Norboo Tundup. Norboo was the one who gave me the idea of visiting Shaday during their Losar festival. He not only took me to the village but also explained in great detail about the various traditions and customs followed by the people of Shaday. My whole experience at Shaday was enriched by his presence. Norboo runs a travel company called Kun Expeditions. Do get in touch with him if you want to go on similar adventures.

How come one person got so many talents? he was a successful software engineer, mind blowing cinematogrpher, amazing narrator, great video editor, excellent script writer, got tonnes of energy to walk in most difficult terrains...and the list goes on. Thank you. The Lamas are planning to use the solar heater at the monastery guesthouse this summer. It is the most practical use of the unit which would help generate some income for the monastery.

I just wished that u would have taken some drone shots along those beautiful mountain gorges and valley on the way back to phuktal..
I tried flying my drone at Talthak but it was too cold and it wouldn't fly. I could have flown it on the the last day when i was going back to Phukthar but i totally forgot about it 🙂. But I do have a lot of drone shots from Shade though.

I remember you.It was during winter of last year when me and my friends were walking all way along to Padum from pipcha(bardan) around 10 km and while on the way we meet and had a lot of conversation.i remembered your foot was badly wounded and I aslo offered you that I'll carry your bag but you denied🙏it's really nice to see your simplicity and presenting the real way of living of the people of Zanskar 🙏🙏 you are always welcome to our valley with love
