My mom has made baked donuts before and they’re amazing! So light and fluffy with a little crisp. The best part is the one side is airier than the other so the glaze or cinnamon sugar gets into the donut.

    I'm definitely trying this recipe.
My mother makes amazing loukoumades and of course we eat them with honey and cinnamon.
I think with this recipe I will be able to compete with her 😄
    Thanks George!

@@AwareHouseChef I made and distributed the maple pumpkin stacks, as we called them, as part of our holiday Thank You boxes of treats to those who treat us (dr, dentist, pool guy, etc.). We included an ingredient sheet, along with your recipe (with the tag line Awarehouse Chef). People LOVED them, so thank you again for giving us a quick holiday treat that doesn't require space in the "big" oven! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and THANKS for all you do for us all year long!🍷

I'm not too keen on baking, not really my jam, but dang those donuts looked amazing and my fat butt would probably eat that whole plate lol.

Hi Chef, to be honest I don't eat donuts. I'm bummed out though, the slice lactose free cheese I like and use for my toasted cheese is no longer being sold in any of my supermarkets. I emailed the company, but no reply, so I think they are going out of business. I've decided to try and make myself an omelet instead. I used to make one for my Mom when she was alive, and used the way the Frugal Gourmet taught on his show. Three eggs and two tablespoons of water, heat up fry pan put some olive oil and pat of butter. Then add eggs then sprinkle salt and pepper. I'm wondering if three eggs is too much, what do you recommend? Also I know to cook onions, mushrooms, and garlic first before I add it to eggs in pan. Another recipe I was thinking of trying is. When I was at Trader Joes, I saw package of grass fed ground chicken, or turkey. Thought that would make a nice hamburger patty. Wanted to know, should I cook onions, mushrooms before I add to ground meet before I cook it? It's been so long since I cooked an omelet, so not sure what is the right ratio of eggs to water. One recipe said two eggs and no water.

I would use raw vegetables in the burger and never add water or milk to the eggs. Cooking the vegetables before you add them to the omelet or adding them raw is a matter of personal preference and cooking style. I make a country or darker omelet so I add raw vegetables to mine. If my omelets were blonde I would cook the vegetables first. Hope that helps!

@@AwareHouseChef oh great thanks. When I do make the omelet I will fish out my old 10 inch fry pan and will only use two eggs. My new 12 inch All Clad would probably be to big.

Absolutely! Taste the oil and make sure it has a neutral flavor.
