Sorry for the lack of content the past month. The Conditions have been poor and my fly fishing skills still need some work, so I haven’t had many video worthy days recently. Content will be more consistent in March when the temps start to rise again. Thank you all for watching!

Great video and looks like fun. I need to do more of this. If I may, a roll cast is your friend. You won't break your arm casting. If space permits, try a double haul. Its more difficult with a weighted nymph but worthwhile. Thanks for the video!! Tight Lines

Great video, I love relaxing fishing videos like this. I’m from PA, could you disclose the approximate area you were in by chance? I’m in southeast PA and I can have a hard time finding spots near me and usually have to drive a minimum of 1.5 hours to get to somewhere worthwhile, if you don’t want to disclose it’s all good I understand.

I prefer foggy, misty, spooky places here in PA...especially if it keeps the city dwellers away.......spooky is a state of mind. To me the cities are creepy not the woods. Good stuff man!

Pull a bunch of your fly line out of the reel and stretch it to straighten int out before you start fishing. It will be much easier to manage the slack that way.

Nice job on the video and in a beautiful location. I enjoy fishing streams like that, in solitude. Can’t normally find that here in Berks County. You’ll enjoy the Orvis Clearwater setup. I have two.

Beautiful scenery and great fishing. For those natives, try pinching the barb down with forceps. Keep the fish in the net and simply remove the hook with the forceps without touching the fish. Thanks for the nice video.

I've walked 4 miles down a gated forest service road in the Northern part of Clearfield Co. Pennsylvania, just to fish a Class A wild trout stream. Barbless hooks for catch and release is how I roll. There is nothing and nobody around, and no cell service. The Mountain Laurel is very thick, and there are boulders that sometimes have rattlesnakes sunning themselves. There are also black bears and occasionally big bull elk which are normally not dangerous, but the potential is there. It can get spooky even in the late spring or early summer. I make sure I'm outta there well before dark. I always have a pistol, a water bottle, and a first aid kit. In my opinion, bug spray is not optional! There are lots of beautiful little trout that make it all worthwhile.

Love to see people getting out on the remote small waters catching native fish! Keep your rod tip up higher when you hook up. I was taught how to fly fish by a guide with 40 years of experience, he told me this. Your arm should look like the statue of liberty holding the torch, that rod should be pretty damn near vertical when you are fighting a fish. You won't lose nearly as many fish with this technique. Also, learn to false cast less, pull out how much line you need plus a little more before you even begin casting, and only let your line hit the water when you are ready to fish it, if you miss your target spot, fish that cast, don't pull it out and cast again.

Great video - really appreciate you sharing a beautiful stream with wild brookies with us. I know when you go through the trouble of producing a vid you then have to deal with lots of advice…but I’ll throw in some more. From someone who fly fishes a lot: invest in a better fly line or put some treatment on yours, it shouldn’t kink up that much; go barbless, especially on those little wild fish, they get torn up from big ‘ol barbs; keep netted fish in the water for as long as possible, only a few seconds out of the water at a time. You’re doing really well for just starting!

As someone who has quite a bit of experience with a fly rod, I'd give you the advice of trying to play fish more without putting them on the reel. Unless you're hooked into something that'll require the drag system, it's easier to pin the line to the grip with your rod hand and maintain tension with your line hand.

great video. sure is nice to be in a remote area with no flatlanders. work on your presentation, small streams you need to fish each cast and not keep false casting so much, the less waterswirls the better. no need to use your reel either just strip it in and keep the rodtip high. word of advice get yourself some better flyline that doesn't curl. and a color not as bright. keep working on it, your doing better and better each outing. thanx for the video.

You need to stop making getting line back on the reel so important, it isn't!. Concentrate on stripping the line back in to land your fish, leaving the slack off the reel.
Also, try to keep your false casts off the water, you'll spook less trout.

How can that beautiful forest be scary?seriously.also there are no indigenous native trout at all in pennsylvania.closest specie you can find indigenous is a cut throat which is a fine fish native and indigenous to the state of pa.actuall a salmonoid as far as specie.if ya didn't know any better you would definitely think it's a trout.now there is water in pa that may allow trout spawn like the upper deleware river between ny and pa not indigenous however maybe best trout fishing on the east coast.
