Bam is not ready for Inoue. It will be career suicide if he moves up 122 to fight Inoue right now. No one should be fighting Inoue until after he turn 36 years old if they are smart. Let see Bam clean out 115 and fight Junto Nakatani first.
I begged to disagree, as long as they both agreed, they can meet on a catch weight at 122 pounds fair and square. Bam has proven himself against 3 legends in his divisions named, Cuadras, Sor Rungvisai, & Estrada, these were considered 3 kings of flyweight ( not to mention Bam could sweep 4 kings if he beats Roman Gonzalez). With that said, Bam's resume would pass to take on against the Naoya.
Inoue is retiring at 35.

@@ER-tq9rnI rate Bam a lot but Nakatani has been chasing him for time. Chased him at 112, followed him to 115, then Bam went back down to 112. I don't think Bam will fight them anytime soon. He is still young though so he will outlast them in the long run, but I aint getting my hopes up for a fight between them in their prime, especially Inoue who is already 31 and about to be 3 divisions apart by next year.

right now Inoue's speed & footwork would be a big problem for Bam... but the good news is Bam is not full Prime yet & Inoue is already peaking, so Inoue's best years are here already & Bam is still developing... so i'd say 2 years would be an ideal fight for both.
My biggest pet peeve is when people try to compare records against Inoue. Inoue didn't try to pad his record. Like some people. 22 fights before championship for Crawford. Inoue had the record for fastest world title at his 6th fight! Bam got his at his 15th. They were/are both 2 division champs at 24, with Inoue having 10 world championship fights vs Bam's 6.

It's a mildly amusing mythical match-up to me at best. I don't think the fight is a realistic possibility. But intellectually speaking, if a person is in favor of this fight then they don't have much of any reason to not also support Crawford vs Canelo.

When inoue was in 115 I've always thought he would've beaten the top guys there. Gonzalez, rangvisa, estrada, cuadras. Bam would prob do the same. Good fight if and when bam catches up to inoue

Probably inoue though age 32 or 33 would still be a force that just is unstoppable. But bam is young in 2 plus year he will be just coming into his prime. We just dont know at this time. I suspect inoue will stay at 122 for anout 1 year if he moves up to 126 in late 2025 (i suspect he will he will be looking to dethrone the champions or champion of that weight. He will be looking at his last year or two in the sport within 2026 i dont honestly see bam fighting inoue though if bam agressively works his way threw the weight divisions it is a very good possiblility that the fight could be made ...providing the both remain undefeated (and even if inoue has one loss)
The Japanese champion at 118 makes the most intreg at this point some time in 2025. He is a 3 weight champion and will have had the chance to become undusputed at 118. (If the others holding belts will play ball)
