I love these videos so much! I listen and watch while I’m at work and they bring me joy and feel like I’m at the parks!! ❤ I found great information for my Disney trip last February and made it was amazing!
I’ve wanted to visit Universal since I was a kid in the 90s. Finally going to fulfill that dream next year when Epic Universe opens. Let’s hope at 45 I’m not too old for the rides. 😅
I am definitely a Disney person and watch all your videos! We are going to universal for Christmas for Grinchmas and I was so very happy to see you do universal videos!!!
So thankful for you guys thoroughly covering all of the things and places!! We are a Disney fam and I study these videos for those trips! Now we really want to train a dragon so I’m starting to research Universal and I trust y’all! ❤
@@cynthiataylor1911 Just walk through the queue, and when you get to the area where you're about to board, just tell them you're not riding. They'll direct you off to the left, which is where the ride's exit is. If there is a line, you'll need to wait to see the full queue. If some of your party is riding and some aren't, there is a waiting room in that same direction. The continuously moving ride system means they'll be getting off the ride in about 5 minutes.
If you're feeling disoriented, Universal is a theme park complex similar to Disney World, only significantly smaller and with very different theming. It's roughly 20 miles north of Disney World, and includes 2(3?) parks, several hotels, and restaurants. I would not recommend doing part Disney and part Universal in the same trip, though that's definitely possible. But if you're a Disney World regular visitor, it would make sense to devote one trip to Universal, and stay in one of their hotels, just like you would at Disney. Plan to devote 3-5 days to fully experience these parks.
We did Disney, Universal and their water parks (plus a day at Kennedy Space Centre) in the same 11 days trip back and forth. It was great. I can’t imagine going to Orlando for just one park since we love them both. We thought of next time splitting it with 5 days at one park then 5 days at another but going back and forth kept the experience and repeat rides fresh.
Would love to see all of the rides at Universal Studios and IOA, info and rank on intensity. I loved the ones on the Disney Orlando parks. Very helpful when planning which rides to prioritize. Thanks!!
Now this is the video I've been looking for in regards to Universal. Huge Harry Potter fan and I'm really keen to explore the Wizarding World. Won't be going this year because I've already planned my 2 weeks at Disney, however I think I will stay at Universal next year, and then visit Disney in between. I'll be starting with IOA first
I went during non-peak. It was less expensive to stay at Surfside Inn and buy the unlimited express pass than it would have been to stay at a more expensive hotel and get the free pass.
@user-ep2wj1qq4u I went in Nov. The lines weren't too bad on most rides except for Mummy, any of the Harry Potter rides, and the Hulk. If you like coasters, unlimited is DEFINITELY worth it just to skip the line on the Hulk (most of the line wraps around inside so you don't see how long it actually is from the outside)
For us (family of four kiddos 13 and 17), the Royal Pacific Club Level was an amazing deal!! Breakfast, sodas and coffee al day long, snacks at noon, a kick back, alcohol and dessert nights, plus unlimited express pass, walking distance (10 minutes) or boat ride (just perfect, and with 5 minutes waits)...
@marinaroco972 yeah, it's definitely based on situation. I went by myself, don't drink, and wouldn't really have done of any of extras at a hotel. I went to the parks for the early access, stayed all day, and left at close. When I got back to the hotel, i was in bed pretty quick.
17:03 Just a note: you get the UNLIMITED Express Passes at the premier resorts for free, for every person in your room on both check in and check out days (and every day you stay in there too.). Its not the limited ones
My family just got back from IOA and we loved it more than Disney! Less crowded, less planning, less trying to book rides we couldn't get on anyway...MORE fun and MORE actually enjoying our vacation! Can't wait to go back!
that's because is less popular than Disney, you can also go to SeaWorld, fun spot and be less stressful. Disney cant be beat there's something about it.
So there one that you don’t tell you don’t have to ride Harry Potter and the forbidden journey it call the castle tour where you can just tour the hogwarts castle then get off before loading area just tell cast member that you don’t want to ride I also remember that there a different queline that you can use just for the hogwarts castle tour but I don’t know if they still use it or not
Hi, we are going to be at IOA may8. Would it be crowded? Do we need express pass? Only there for a day. And we are a family of 5. Appreciate your insight. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the helpful video! I have one question though. If I have zippered pockets do I have to put my phone in a locker? If anyone knows anything please help me out.
When I tried to download the Universal guide, using the link shown at the end of this video, it only downloaded to 50% for me and it never fully downloaded 😞
It's funny you were talking about seat selection on Hagrids, my husband told me I'm not allowed on the bike because I will get very emotional when I see the Hagrid animatronic.😅 sad part is he's not wrong. RIP Robbie Coltrane
One thing about IoA is how little there is there. Don't get me wrong, we love it. What is there is top notch. But if you think about it, the Cat in the Hat area is a curiosity at best. The Atlantis area is non-existent without Poseidon or Sinbad . And during cooler month's, you won't be riding Dudley or Popeye unless you brought a change of clothes. On a slow day, you can see everything in IoA twice over in just a few hours. (Our January trips had us walking portions and not even seeing other Guests.)Well, everything twice except Velocicoaster and Hagrid. So make it six hours and you're well taken care of.
I ate at Cafe 4 today. 3 slices of super oily and floppy pizza, plus 2 side caesar salads, set me back like $54. I feel my artery walls closing in as I digest this. Eat somewhere else if you can. Only perk is the air conditioning.
The only thing I can think for Cafe 4 ibeing Italian is that Mr. Fantastic's body is basically spaghetti. Or maybe the rest of the menu is just missing because the Invisible Woman is making it disappear? Technically, any cooked food works for the Human Torch. But really, the only thing I can think which would be appropriate food for the Thing is.... rock candy?
the other thing about the hogwarts castle show vs. happily ever after is that the hogwarts show has a a lot less fireworks. it's very cool, but it is not a disney fireworks show.
When i was in pre school, they made green eggs and ham one day, and i wouldnt eat it because the green freaked me out so bad😂 im neurodivergent, and am VERY picky, and they had to seperate me so i could calm down without upsetting other kids. Everyone else loved it, but it just scared me😂
They are only covering it because it would be easier for more viewers to plan their vacation if they were aware of both through one channel. Disneys fine
I find it really hard to watch y'alls videos on my TV, due to the way they're edited. They look like they're being exported at a different frame rate than the footage was originally shot at, which makes any movement seem really juttery, where camera movement happens in a bunch of small rapid bursts instead of smoothly like I'd imagine the original footage looks. Shooting at a higher framerate or making sure that you keep the projects at the framerate they were shot at can help alleviate this. Not trying to be critical or mean AT ALL, I'm a DFB fan for years now and since I started watching them on my TV I've just found that this phenomenon gives me a headache sometimes. Thanks for everything you guys do!
Very informative as are all of your videos, but please calm the panning cameras down. It makes some of the posted video unwatchable. Even modern phone cameras give a smoother watching experience
If you have an ICD, they won't let you ride their best rides. They have metal detectors that check you before you go through. So no Hulk ride, and no Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Just making you all aware before you get your hopes up and waste money.
This park is way to hard to figure out. Its bizarre. Do they want to drive people away? What i understand, you enter the park after waiting in a long line, then you need to walk through a long path of stores to finally get to a ride. Then you wait in a long line for that. Then you walk to another ride a mile away to stand in another line. You better like Harry Potter or getting soaked for some reason.
Warning: I made the mistake of ordering a Universal Orlando gift card online. I'm used to Disney gift cards. Well, three weeks later and all I have received is the order confirmation email. I called their customer service today. Had to wait on hold for a very long time. I was told they would make an exception and give me a refund. Hours later, I have not received any emails confirming this. They told me I could pick up the gift card there, but it's for my niece and she isn't going until June. When I had a similar issue with a Disney gift card, they could see that it hadn't been used and they just issued a new one. BEWARE!
❗❗❗This is to people who didnt watch the full video. For those who are deterred by the word "rollercoaster🎢" IOA is not just great coasters, in fact there are only 4 Rollercoasters ( One of them is a kiddy coaster ). There are also 3 water rides, 4 dark-rides, and 4 themed flat rides flat rides🎠. All rides at the park have amazing levels and theming and some are of course more well themed than others, but it's a very well balanced park for the whole family.
Thank you so much to listening to viewers and doing more Universal content. I'm super excited for Epic Universe!

I recommend getting butterbeer at Hog’s Head. The line is always MUCH shorter because it’s more tucked away inside. The frozen version is my favorite.
I am definitely a Disney person and watch all your videos! We are going to universal for Christmas for Grinchmas and I was so very happy to see you do universal videos!!!
the updated version of the Spiderman ride made it even better, it's awesome
So thankful for you guys thoroughly covering all of the things and places!! We are a Disney fam and I study these videos for those trips! Now we really want to train a dragon so I’m starting to research Universal and I trust y’all! ❤
Fun tip: You can also check out the queue for Hogwarts without riding the ride! Same for Gringots over in Studios!
Really? How do you go about that??
@@cynthiataylor1911 Just walk through the queue, and when you get to the area where you're about to board, just tell them you're not riding. The Fantastic 4 is based in Manhatten in new york city for one. So its like your eating a new york italian meal while in their HQ.
I’m going in two months! Thanks for posting these:)

Universal’s hotels are so much more reasonable! You can get a beautiful room under $100, and even one under $130 during Christmas week!
Yes the express pass is worth it at certain times of the year and they are so easy to use!
The trek from the parking garage to the parks is INSANE!!! I could never take my parents here lol
Every time she mentions ‘adventurous’ foods its ‘adventurous’ for those used to european cuisine 😂 other people watch your videos too, AJ!
I went during non-peak. It was less expensive to stay at Surfside Inn and buy the unlimited express pass than it would have been to stay at a more expensive hotel and get the free pass.

Oooh universal video? Exciting
Loving the Universal content 🎢
A lot of good rides in IOA but beware if you are a lager rider that Hagrids, hogwarts, and Hulk are notorious for having small seats.
I try to avoid roller coasters as they scare me. Hope you get some info on epic universal soon
It's funny you were talking about seat selection on Hagrids, my husband told me I'm not allowed on the bike because I will get very emotional when I see the Hagrid animatronic.😅 sad part is he's not wrong. RIP Robbie Coltrane

I once did that. Got soaked to the bone then went to mythos. Was shaking cold
The Whohash is my favorite
Wimpy's also has Dole Whip
First time ridding howwarts..I cried because I have a fear of spiders. I will be riding again and I will be terrified again lol
I answered yes to all three questions at the beginning. I LOVE IoA

The Fantasic 4 live and are based in Manhattan NYC. The Italian food/heritage is strong in the city

Wohoo universal
It makes me laugh that you say Cornish parties are ‘on the adventurous side’. It’s such an ordinary, basic food over here. 😂
Not my favorite park, I just don't like its ambiance or lack of. But it does have my favorite ride, velocicoaster, is up there with guardians!! :)
I wanna say hi to Storm!
Wait... AJ's favorite part of the video is NOT the food section?! 😱😂
