Not gonna lie, getting off a perfect royal guard counter and immediately hearing a crowd of "YOU CANNOT KILL ME" kick in was so hype it had me out of my seat screaming. Such a dope song, perfect for the system the team made.
He has a point but i dont like the actual song and i think the guys who did this knew people gripes with the track so they minimized it to the best bits in a more yummy form

It still amazes me that the song that started out as the worst ended up being my favorite. Also I love that you edited the background for S to change to when Dante gets Dr. Faust. It being the first time we heard this version of the song also makes that even better.
Yeah, whoever did the mixing for the initial reveal did a REALLY poor job, imo. It was like 10% instruments, then 90% of the original vocalist, who wasn't fantastic to begin with, at least not in Subhuman (iirc, he also sings the end credits music for the REmake2 and that's pretty solid).
Thorson Wong Yeah what was up with the old mixing? It sounded better in the Dante trailer I remember, but the version they put out was really poorly mixed. Either way I still prefer this one.

Before DMC5 released, I replayed DMC3 for the Nth time and I was fighting Arkham on DMD. I had a slither of health left and then Subhuman kicked in. Lemme tell you that dodging his attacks while "YOU CANNOT KILL ME! I AM OMEGA!" is screaming to your ears was easily the hypest I've ever been.
Anyone who says this song doesn't suit Dante.. Have you ever considered this is how Dante views himself? An unkillable subhuman abomination that slices and cleaves through demons left and right? The song really suits Dante if you can just get over the fact the song might not be for you, lol. And let's not forget getting an SSS on Dante and hearing a "YOU CANNOT KILL ME" is still one of the best feel good moments if you ever played The game.
yea i agree main problem i have is that the other main themes fit the characters even in their current states. like maybe it would've made sense in 3 as his theme and it definitely does in dmc devil may cry (just a bad ver was in that one) in here i dont think it really fits woohoo pizza man

I love how the music changes each time you get a better rank. All 3 characters have a great battle theme, but Dante's takes it in spades. It's something so gritty, dark, and nasty about this theme. Also, DMD in this game is no damn joke. Save EVERY gold orb you get during Devil Hunter. You're gonna need them for the higher difficulty modes =]
The transition on A rank is really motivating. And when you hit S rank, before the vocal part starts you think "Now I'm MOTIVATED" EDIT: Wow, thanks for 1k likes people!
A rank is such a good build up to S rank. I guess this is why I consider Subhuman to be the best ingame battle song. It just hypes me up so much to do well.
Honestly, in order to like this song more, you have to properly experience it. And by that I mean playing the game itself, not just listen to it on YTB or any other music platform. After a couple of missions with Dante you'll probably change your mind. Slicing everything in your way while this song is playing in the background may really change your perspective on it. Like cmon, you gotta feel invincible while getting at least an S rank when *YOU CANNOT KILL ME* comes in. So damn badass.
Its funny how changing the lyrics to be less ear piercingly loud and screamy pretty much fixed this song. Don't get me wrong, its still no Public Enemy, Lock & Load, Taste the Blood, or Divine Hate but its still a great battle track.
Maybe is an unpopular opinion but no song has fitted Dante more than this, Dante is a goofy and over the top character, because he is literally an unstoppable force of nature who can always play by the rules of his game
People can say what they want about Subhuman, but when that S tank drops there is no way you don’t feel like a complete badass with Dante. First time I heard that shit in game with Sparda I was desperate for more enemies to show up. Then when I got Dante, holy hell. I felt like a god by that point getting a smokin sexy style!

Love this for Dante. DMC4 did a good job of establishing how ridiculously overpowered he is (he literally never sweats anything in the whole game, not even the final boss), but DMC5 helps hammer home how truly unkillable he is. Even if you beat him he'll get back up and keep fighting. Awesome character.
The songs adding more layers as you rise in rank is reminiscent to Metal Gear Rising Revengance boss battles. I’m glad the team that worked on Dmc5 adopted that overlooked part of MGRR.
MGRR Soundtrack wasn't that dynamic Killer Instinct's soundtrack reacts to almost anything the player does even changes if both players stand still for a while to a more calm tone
I think they kinda saved this song after they changed singer, i didn't like it a lot when i first heard it but now i actually love it. When i heard "YOU CANNOT KILL ME" just roaring while i was murdering 5 angelo mobs at once with triple SSS it made my adrenaline go sky high. Music is so damn important in so many ways and in DMC i think they nailed it.
Nothing amps you up more than being on low health but then hitting that perfect royal guard and the song blares “YOU CANNOT KILL ME!” That’s when you go SDT

I'm fairly certain that the DmC reboot did this
I think they kinda saved this song after they changed singer, i didn't like it a lot when i first heard it but now i actually love it. When i heard "YOU CANNOT KILL ME" just roaring while i was murdering 5 angelo mobs at once with triple SSS it made my adrenaline go sky high. Music is so damn important in so many ways and in DMC i think they nailed it.
Before playing DMC5: bruh wtf is this Dante theme ?

Nothing amps you up more than being on low health but then hitting that perfect royal guard and the song blares “YOU CANNOT KILL ME!”
