That extra room in the LWB Transporter opens up so much more possibilities for layout and storage, well done with your use of the space and your storage discipline, tight for four but doable. It's a mindset thing. When not 'off grid', we use a small pup tent and chuck items for storage into that once on site.
We’re going to be first time camper van owners soon and I got to say of all the different videos I’ve seen this has been the most informative on what’s what of camping. Thank you for making it and especially the family for showing us round their camper van and their setup. Cracking video well done
A lovely family of four, I wish you all healthy and safe in God's hands. Thank you for sharing from Oregon, USA.
Really well done on making the most of limited space, especially for a family of four - I doff my cap. We loved our VW camper, but even for the two of us we found things a tad cramped. The worst thing was constantly having to shift stuff around and tidy up, depending on what we wanted to do. That said, we’re both in our sixties mow, so perhaps 20 or so years ago would have found it easier. A small Eriba caravan better suits our needs there days. 😁
I love this arrangement. Definitely the best one I think. And with the pop up instead of the high top is brilliant 👏
Kids looks very "happy" 😁
Great video throughout really enjoyed watching it, I own VW transporter factory order
not camper van just for the daily use they are great van
sounds good you are really organized
That's a clever arrangement and well-used space
Torture. But hats off to this family being able to 'live' like that, and Jerba for making good vans.
Good video very informative 👍
I live in Turkey. The campers you make are very nice, I hope one day they will be mine too.
Keep dreaming one day you will have it😆
Amazing
They do really well however , I can’t help thinking that for the money they could have bought a traditional camper van with lots more space .
What's a traditional camper van with more space compared to this?
@@louisehollyhead6807any normal small mobilhome will give you lots more space.
Awesome van ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m about to change my Renault Zoe for a Vauxhall Combo Life Electric camper. It’s converted by Wheelhome of Brentwood, and is ideal for a single person’s vehicle.
Personally, I use Keep Cups. I have four of them in the house and use them both indoors and in other locations.
Excellent video. Loved seeing how the family use all the space. Very informative. Thank you so much x
I've just sold out Hi-top transit la strada conversion. Would like a van that I can use to replace the car but want a toilet, think this is the best conversion I've seen, very nice. Probably wait a year before buying another, see Jerba do try hire so might do that.
Bravo
Enjoyed this video. A good honest walk around. No you tuber fake ‘enthusiasm’ influencer bull$hit 👍
What a fantastic video!
Can you publish a list of all the items Colin mentioned and where you can get them from?
Especially the grey boxes.
Hey Simon,
We'll do so in the owners group! Thank you
Cheers 🍷🍺👍🏼
A good layout but how anyone can live in such cramped confirms, I don’t know.
The corridor down the middle is a great idea and not one I’ve seen before. Keeping access to the kitchen and toilet is essential, and many conversions lose that as soon as you fold out the main bed including the California.
Thanks for this, we have been wondering if we would be ok with our two dogs, well I’m convinced 🙂
Really !!
is the pop up canvas waterproof during downpouring days?
Great video thanks, I believe the Sanna is the longer wheelbase version. Do the Docherty family use it for everyday use as well, eg supermarket shopping? If so how do they find it for that?
They said at the end that it fits in a supermarket carpark
Do this family live full-time in this van or is it for a holiday ?
If ya want a cuddle at night time 🤣,can you make the 2 bed downstairs into a double especially if theirs only 2 of you in the van
Thats my only fault otherwise a fantastic layout especially having the toilet on board
Thank you for the very informative video 👌
You sure can! They slide together :)
Is there a video on how to make up the double bed 🤫
@@seanfallon4580 hey Sean, our most recent Sanna and Taransay videos have this. Regards.

The best test of how comfortable your campervan is is being stuck inside during several days of heavy rain in a muddy field.
Yes. Agree. And then you ‘d go mental in this van with 4 people …
love from china!
how can i buy the van from china?
I’m not into wasting space or polluting the atmosphere, so I’d never even consider a modern Volkswagen camper. I’m not confident that even the ID Buzz would be a perfect choice for me because of the space it takes up!!
Click bait title... Family of four don’t live in a camper van, they have weekends away, a big difference
I agree. It’s not the truth . They don’t live in it and mainly go to campsites .
Lovely family
Need a proper RV
This is a good van for 1 or an intimate couple. Not a family of 4
…. “He promised me glamour, travel, excitement, fun, laughs, fine dining, wild carefree abandonment”…..….“It’s yourrrrr turrrn te di the dishes in the collapsible bucket”….“Dad… can we go to Disney Land next year?”…… “nooooooo… “
What puzzles me is why the VW transporter is still used so much as a base vehicle. They are not the best vans at all, possibly one of the worst, with problematic mechanicals and rust issues on T4s and early 5s. Plus the huge cost of repairs. We have an 08 Vivaro, the one with a timing chain and it is more roomy, nicer to drive and with much better engines than the VWs...plus of course repairs are much cheaper.
Those poor children.
Not a bad camper, but a little too big for me!! I’m a single man who lives on Government benefits and has disabilities. Most of my trips will see me as a lone ranger!! Only two trips a year will see me with the family.
