Thanks to you l taught my chihuahua how to swim short distances to shore. Tonight she was rolling in something at the park, rolled into a duck pond covered with lily pads, and swam back to shore and jumped up the bank. Thanks for not making me go into the duck pond after her! She was very happy to take a bath when we got home! 🤣🤣🤣

I wish I was a kid again. At 69 I'm a long way from it. But my almost 2 y/o yellow lab gives me a taste of it everyday when I take him for long walks on the golf course. It's a good hike as he has geese to chase and sometimes a German Shepard comes along with us. The Shepard belongs to one of the maintenance crew. They have fun running and swimming in the lake on the course. So it gives me good exercise but I sure wish I had the legs and feet of these young kids. Ha.

    • @robinrutherfordcost4748

Not ready to be off leash yet. Stop the rehearsals of what you don't want - use a long line so you can step on it if you have to. Hide and seek where the dog has to find you - something really tasty when they do - liverwurst, cheese, something higher level than what he's usually fed. Coming to you is the best!!! Suzanne Clothier's automatic check in helps too. Acknowledging every check in without you asking is the you = awesome game too. Like Stonnie says, you have to be more interesting than the environment. Sell it! Hope that helps.

I guess my definition of English labs is different than the true definition. Stonnie’s dogs are what I call English labs breed for hunting. They’re not pencil thin hyperactive ones I think American or “sporting” labs are. But he calls them American or sporting labs in other videos. He calls the chubby lazy show dogs English labs. I guess that’s the real definition.
