That’s the understatement of the year Matt.
The wheel is coming off a bit? There are no wheels, the wheels fell off when he walked through the door. It’s abhorrent

The director of football model does not work when your failing. The next coach working with the set up we have now would have to turn water into wine and have holes in his hands and feet, and I still would not bet on him to avoid the drop. The director of football picks the player and the style of play and the coach should suite the player's and style of play we have, for example Brighton. What coach in this universe suits our player's and our style of play, and if there was one would he admit to it😢. Great show keep it up 😊

Managers I'd love to see Everton consider: -
    - Christophe Galtier - Took Lille from 17th to 1st in 4 years. Done both firefighting and title winning. Won trophies at numerous clubs. Happy with a 442 and other formations.
    - David Moyes - Just a sensible option. Would keep us up. And similarly to Howe and Emery, took his previous team from relegation to Europe in less than 2 seasons. Never mind his own history at our football club. The best manager I've got to see in my lifetime (as I wasn't really old enough for Joe Royle).
    - Danny Röhl - Only 35yo. Young exciting manager. Survived relegation with Sheffield Wednesday and is now only a few points of the playoffs this year. Good brand of football. Could be the up and coming manager that people talk about to build with going forward.
    - Lee Carsley - Just the fairy tale, having a former Everton player coming in and doing well. Well respected coach in his own right. But lacks experience in club management. Might surprise people though. And could possibly bring in some English youth talent.
    - Literally anyone better until the end of the season and regroup from there... Better options might be available in the summer.
As I write this, Jose is currently the bookies favourite. But I highly doubt it. And as much as I love him as a manager/personality, he wouldn't be right long term. And would he really work for the Friedkin's again? I don't know.
Either way, thanks for the pod lads. And glad to see you doing well for yourself, Matt. Wouldn't have imagined you'd be doing this all those years ago haha. But made up for you.
    Take it easy, Gents. UTFT!

Given that we haven't scored in 8 of our last 10 games and we're creating nothing, it's safe to say that the wheels have come off.

him singling out branthwaite was awful. just seemed spiteful and cruel. considering as matt & paddy point out, there've been far more egregious errors from some of his more favoured players at different points this season. i wonder if dyche is losing control over the players because, of course, branthwaite has been making forays forward trying to create something himself. which, honestly, if he's been instructed otherwise, isn't great. however, i absolutely related to him doing that because we need some kind of spark.
really puzzled by it all from dyche this season. never been a huge fan of his, but was appreciative of how we navigated last season and was happy to give him credit for it. but this season, going back to PRE-SEASON, dyche has come across as abrasive, combative, adversarial, and honestly almost paranoid at times about what the fans think. for somebody who supposedly "doesn't do" social media, he really seems to know what a handful of people might've said on twitter and is very well prepared to counter those points in press conferences. i wish the forward line was as prepared for games as dyche is for press conferences.
and for the record i don't think branthwaite at all ducks from it, he's clearly trying to head it off, but just whiffs it. so for me, dyche really is just being pointedly unpleasant directly to branthwaite. and of course there's his history with patterson to consider as well. and those are the issues we know about. i wonder what else goes on behind closed doors. the thing is, a lot of top managers are unpleasant... look at alex ferguson, and klopp was an absolute tool. but dyche doesn't have the success to excuse being that unpleasant.
it seems like dyche's time is limited, so i'm not going to waste more energy than i already have on criticising him. to me, it's just honestly interesting, like a very curious case that goes all the way back to pre-season. i would love to know what changed this season vs last... because dyche's nose has been out of joint since pre-season and he was trying to promote his "the fans want europe, so they're stupid" psyop fantasy.
    anyway, well in lads.
hopefully tfg get the appointment right.. their track record at roma isn't 10/10 so we'll see.

He has to go. How can his stats have kept him in a job? Walter Smith was turgid, same thing, if we went behind you know we lose. I can’t even listen Dyche without thinking he is a bullshitter. Gone from arrogance to BS. Ffs he is done, why carry on with this. We all know Thursday will be a struggle but we have to stay in the cup. We need a cup run for a new manager to control but not Dyche and his crew.

I said after the pre seasom games against sligo and Coventry he should have been sacked then ...nothing has changed since then..
Armstrong should start before crapoure plus why isnt Dixon involved ..
3 slow none creative centre mids every game is w big problem ...
Dyche came here on the baco of a 442 past at Burnley but yet here 3 slow midfielders every game

Let’s be honest we look like a squad who know they’re out of their depth in this league, we’re basically Southampton but with a better goalkeeper plus Branthwaite when he’s actually fit.
It’s terrifying that teams like Ipswich and Leicester wouldn’t take half of our players.

Except Southampton play better football than we do. We are probably the worst team in the league to watch for "entertainment"

That’s debatable, they’re just more open than us. Don’t care what anyone says you’ll never convince me that messing around with it at the back means it’s good football.
No matter how painful it is I’d rather watch hoofball than that crap
