Nice chat! I think Warpcoven will be a really strong team, but I also think they'll be quite tough to figure out synergies and list building with. You'll only become better at them, I suspect! I definitely think 3 Sorcs are the auto takes, but after that, pretty flexible!
Taking the 3rd sorcerer was always something of a headscratcher interestingly. Sounds like a no-brainer on paper, but i like to think of them as force multipliers, and there comes a point when you need more regular guys for grabbing objectives. Then again, only had them for a week so happy to be proven wrong, will try 3 sorcerers with tzaangors and see how it goes :D
Found you via Can You Roll A Crit. As a fellow Warpcoven player, I am an immediate fan. Great recap, and thanks for the thoughts against Marines and Kommandos. The Changer of Ways delivers!
I saw the results and wanted to see how the Necron player felt about their strength in the meta. Did your friend have any thoughts on the Necrons’ viability overall? Or do you think anything of them?
From what i've heard they won two games out if three, but the 2nd one was a close call. I think the lack if vantage points in drop zones didn't help as he was running immortals and deathmarks
@@wombatwargaming1634 That’s the combo I’m interested in too! Does he feel Necrons are viable as a whole? It almost sounds like game is more matchup dependent.
@@drkatz1192 personally i thought they were one of the best shooting teams you can get, the issue is deathmarks are not fast at all, so to climb into structures you might need to sacrifice shooting to do so
As you have learned vantage points are no help with heavy cover. This was a missed rule early on. You also should not be looking at your opponents models while doing the roster selection. You can know his faction but not his teams I am pretty sure at that point.
Appreciate the point about the roster but thats not what i was looking at. The point was that the only models my opponent placed on the table before we even began set up was a single squad of intercessors. When someone only pulls out a single 5 man squad before selecting a kill team, its not hard to predict what he'll be using.
If you didn’t take the fly mutation in the second game what mutations did you take for your two sorcerers? It just seems to me that the fly mutation is an auto include.
I only own 1 team, and that's custodes... and it'd been that way for years and years. So I only have play custodes.. And only will play custodes (they're the only team I own) whether they're good or bad. Did custodes get banned for this tournament?

Great video dude and games too! Hope to see you at the next WHW Kill Team event whenever it happens (:
You seem a really nice bloke passionate about our hobby. Love this vlog. Made it sound a great day out. Hope it goes on.
Cheers! and it really was, highly recommend a visit if they have an event on again
Thanks for the props! I now have proper GW Kroot hounds to replace my 3D printed, so I will be able to run them next time. Looking forward to it 😀
Sounds like a great event, definitely want to give one a go myself 😊
I'm glad the algorithm sent this to me today. Good stuff! Always happy to see more KT content
Happy to hear that the algorithm is helping out for once! Haha

If i'm reading this correctly does this mean nobody brought Veteran Guardsman kill team from the octarius box?
Yep, i don't think anyone did
@@wombatwargaming1634 Do people think they aren't very strong or something? I feel like they'd be better than straight up IG right?
@@jays838 personal read is that they are a good team, but really lacking in durability if they are not played well

It just seems to me that the fly mutation is an auto include.
In hindsight i think Fly is the only auto-take. In that game, i believe i took mutant apendage for mission actions and timewalker for melee

No, there was a single Custodes player as mentioned towards the end, think they won, drew, and lost a match each
Ork kommando isnt broken at all...no need to adjust them at all...
