This looks a good variety to consider planting next year. I’ve had a disappointing year for volume of fruit this year. Plants are healthy etc but haven’t produced the usual number of flowers. Across different varieties. I think that the weather has played a part. We didn’t get enough warmth earlier in the season.

This is the best tasting variety I've grown so far. And I have tried a lot. In good years each plant gives me roughly 5 kg of nice, big, juicy fruit. People often say it's good for pasta, it's good to make sauce (sugo) of it because it has a lot of flesh and no juice. I disagree - at least in my conditions the flesh itself is very juicy and the tomatoes are absolutely delicious to eat raw. It really depends on the soil however, which, in my opinion, makes up 50% of the taste.... Keep in mind: San Marzanos are VERY susceptibleto blossom-end rot. After heavy rains the skin can crack but not as much as with different varieties. Still, it can be enough for mildew to catch on.

Totally agree with your observation with a minor disagreement. I have never experienced blossom end rot or cracks in this variety. Well i present going opinion, in real time i will use any and all tomatoes as and when needed and with the requirement at hand so im with you on that point as well. Its so nice to get feedback the way you have done it. Please keep sending your feedback (be it positive or negative) and if you haven’t done it already please do subscribe to our channel 🙂🙂🙂 cheers amigo.

Hello. Nice video well presented. I would like to know how many tomatoes do you have on this foot? what is the average weight of each tomato? Thanks very much

Thank you so much for your kind words. Please stay tuned when i will do the harvest video i will definitely do the weighing as well for the fruit. Well as for the count of fruit, i know its like 50 to 70 tomatoes and more clusters are being formulated by the plant every few days so we will have decent production from this plant 🙂👍🏼 if you haven’t done so please subscribe to the channel too 🙂👍🏼 cheers and looking forward for more feedback from you. Cheers
