MaamI want to share also the story of my mother who is also a current teacher in the US. She was hired in year 2006 with H1B visa not J1 (which is the current visa right now for teachers). That time my mother was already 44yo with 24 years of public school teaching in Isabela (Region 2). At that time, she was initially offered a salary of 68k USD per annum to worked in Baltimore City. She worked there for 5 years. She then transferred to New Mexico (because of immigration matters) and stayed for 3 years - offered with 75k USD. Now, she went back to Baltimore and then again offered with 110K USD per year.
P.S. The main reason my mother applied to teach in the US was for me to pursue my medical degree. And now I am already a Physician, with 8 years experience. Thanks to my parents who help me pursue my dreams.
wow this is the best testimony! 😊❤️
@@AlissaLifestyleVlog Thank you maam!
Hi Sir Cliff san po kayo dito sa Isabela? Nakakainspire namn po mama nyo 🙂 Godbless po
A great story doc...love it💌💋💕
Great👍
Not bad though, at least you can still save, 9x higher salary than here in the Philippines.
It all depends on your school district. Some places pay way less but housing costs a lot more because of what may be in close proximity. For example, if the beach is nearby, or an Airbase is close, you bet your last penny, it is going to cost a whole lot more. I live in a place where there is no bus line so a car is not optional. I find your videos quite informative.
Thanks! Yes, it differ a lot. I am now living in the city and our house is $1,300 😩😅
Your video was quite informative. I am from Cameroon and I am looking forward to getting my final interview. God bless you
2:06 in india...the maximum salary of a primary teacher is 27,000rs (340$) and higher education is 1,00,000 (1500$...1600$) 🙂😪
earning in dollars and spending in dollars. Too many deductions and expenses. This is a very informative content. Thanks for sharing sis
Hi Oma
Hello pretty how are you doing today hope you are having a wonderful day
Getting to grips with the cost of living in the US, kaya naman natin magtipid!
It depends on what U.S. State one is residing. Other States charges State and County taxes on top of Federal, Soc. Security and Mediacare tax deductions. And if one would prefer to avail medical, dental, and optical insurances- that's part of your paycheck deductions also.. Other states have high housing, Gas and living costs.
Hi I am a Kindergeten Teacher here in the Phil for more than 10years with MA in Early Childhood Education
Thank you for your video... The most important thing is to have a high educational attainment
Wow thanks a lot maam. It inspires me to finish my MA in Sped.
Good info... all my teacher friends have started their online business in the USA to earn more..
thank you so much for this very informative video ma'am Alissa. I was about to give up my teaching in US dream because someone I know told me that Teacher are the lowest salary in the US. She told me that $50k is not enough to cover the needs of my family because I was also planning to bring my family with me. I think it still depends in our ways of living, the way we spent our money.
Yes!
Correct. You will need to be thrifty but its doable on 50k
Thank you for sharing the salary range of teacher in the USA, and sharing some expenses in living there.
Thank you for teaching Americans, I hope you and your family are getting along well in America
ang galing mag explain ni mam..sana all mganda po ang sahod..ingat po lage dyan..
Tama ka diyan living in the US hindi madali. Maraming bills na bayaran. Dependi rin yan sa pag budget nang pera. Good luck and keep vlogging
Tonia's Fusion Tama sis! Salamat sis!
Your vlog pushes me more to apply...Thanks for this video
Thank you so much ma'am ❤️ this will help my decision po to finish my MA first.
I want to apply and work in the USA ma'am Alissa. But I'm still a fresh graduate. I have a 1 year experience in teaching Math. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Chemistry.
Rio Lourdes Hubahib At least 2 years po to qualify for a visa but employers need experience teachers so to be competitive you need to have more experience.
Someday, but I need to prepare first my masteral
Nakaka inspired po...Mas lalo po akong ginaganahan mag aral para maging guro tas makapag turo din po sa america...Mag cocollege napo ako this year❤️

Done watching! Sana maexperience din nmin ang ganyang salary. Thanks sa informations :)
Thank you, inspiring. Great help, Thank you
The taxes are also depend on the state where you live.
As the cost of room and transportation and everything ese is according where you live .
If you live in the mountains everything could cost less but consider there is not many Job opportunities and salaries are less too !
thank you Ms. Alissa for an informative and so authentic videos you created. love listening to them!!! God bless

Based from your explanation, it is indeed worthwhile to apply for a teaching job there in US.
Just consider that everything in the USA is expensive. If you want to live alone expect to pay at least 1000 a month for for a cheap place. As long as you know, then go for it!
Thank you so much for this content Ms. Alissa. If you don't mind, may I ask what grade are your kids enrolled at this time?
Hi mam I have done B.ed M A but I didn't get a job because english problem

What education courses are highly demand? Is English in demand there?
Adrian Lisondra Yes
@@AlissaLifestyleVlog how about music teacher po? Is it in demand in US? Thank you.
With that amount, it's just like vacationing in the US for free. Too many deductions and the salary is relatively low. If you want savings more than a US adventure, then better work in good international schools in Asia/Middle East where the salary ranges between 2k to 5k usd monthly with hardly any deduction (free transport, tax free, free medical insurance, free apartment, free meals at sch, 13th momth pay, free airfare free education etc.) :)
Maybe depends on your purpose. We are looking for permanent residency here so both my husband (engineer) and I can practice our profession.
How to get them
@@AlissaLifestyleVlog good luck :)
