Thank you for taking the time to upload ur video, it was really reassuring for me I have 18 days till my UCAT and I’ve seen quite big fluctuations between the 4 medify mocks I’ve done (2600 2290 2740 2440). Should I be concerned about this? I want to get 2850+ in the real thing. Also do you have any tips for SJT in particular because I’m stuck in Band 2-4 (mostly 3) and struggling to find good ethical resources. Thanks again for ur time
I mean of course it’d be nice to be consistent but I would say just keep practicing and working hard. You’ve still got just under three weeks which is plenty of time to get your scores up and more consistent. Just make sure you are doing efficient preparation and doing so consistently and hopefully everything should work out for you. I’ll be posting a vid on SJT shortly. The best resource is the GMC’s Good Medical Practice. That’s the guideline for ethical practice for healthcare professionals in the UK and everything on the SJT should align with that.
Hi, I am not aware of any formulas you need to know. Perhaps things like working out profit (revenue minus costs) or just basic things like speed = distance/time. It should not be anything above GCSE Maths or anything basic that you don’t already know. In terms of units I don’t think you need to know SI units, just use whatever they give you. However it may be handy to know conversions between units, so for example centimeters to meters to kilometers etc. Contact me privately if you’d like any more help :)
Hiya, I have recently moved my UCAT date 2 weeks later rather than next week as my scores in the mock were extremely low (2080-2100). From now should I do timed or untimed practice on DM and QR mainly which are my weakest sections in or is there another way I should approach?
I would say to focus as much as you can on timed practice. If you are struggling on answering questions then work a little bit untimed. But your main focus should be on timed practice as much as you can. Make sure you are doing 3-4 hours of questions each day and also review question you get wrong afterwards.
Hey. I got around a month until my exam do you think that’s enough. I have structured my revision as 1week: getting used to questions. Second / third week: start doing timers questions and mock forth / mocks and mini mocks. Do you think that would work.
Your plan sounds good and well structured. I would say keep monitoring your progress and adjusting your preparation accordingly. If you feel you are not close to where you want to be after 3 weeks then maybe push your test a week later. But if your progress is fine then keep it. The good thing is you are able to move your test. So just make sure you’re constantly checking your progress and adjusting your plan based on your strengths and weaknesses. The only thing I would say is perhaps start timed questions by the second half of your first week if you already find yourself getting familiar with the types of questions. It’s best to start timed questions as soon as you can as the UCAT is very much time pressured.
Thank you I appreciate that. Yes I think as long as you are preparing enough per day and with the right intensity, 4-6 weeks can be perfectly sufficient. But it’s very personal so see what really works with you.
Useful videos, thank you ! Keep going.

Hi, first of all I found the video super helpful, thanks for sharing your experience. Do you really think 4-6 weeks are enough to prepare for UCAT ?
