Bolan Birthday Bash first set, The Sun Rose, West Hollywood, CA September 28, 2024

A birthday concert party honoring Libran musicians Marc Bolan of T. Rex, his partner Gloria Jones, their son Rolan Bolan, co-hosted by Richard Barone. This is the first set only, filmed from a VIP table by Natalie McDonald. The full list of participants in the two-set program includes, in no particular order, Vicki Peterson and Debbi Peterson of The Bangles, John Cowsill, Richard Barone, Rolan Bolan, Tyrannosaurus Jed, Automatic Shoes, Gloria Jones, Stephanie Spruill, Natalie McDonald, Olya Sonica, Jon Klages, Matt Pinfield, Nick Santa Maria, Tony Mann, Mario Cuomo of The Orwells, Suzie Privette, Bobby Wofford, David Nolte. Artwork by KOSH who designed the original T. Rex album covers in the 1970s.

Totally cool! Sorry I didn’t go : ( How fun we have a Bolan Bop in the US now! Hope it keeps growing! I went to the Bop in London in 2009 and Val Bolan and I sang a Karaoke version of 20th Century Boy. So fun!!! Will never forget it and I hope you all had a Bolan blast! Long live Marc!
