Who is the synthesthete that you are referring to with time synesthesia? I’m curious because I have four of the most rare types of synesthesia, one being that I see time around my body in a tilted orbit. You described December and points of the month being anchored exactly how I described it on a video about synesthesia. It would be crazy if you’re talking about me! I also have color associated synesthesia, but it is accompanied by letters and numbers and days of the week all having genders and personalities. They interact with each other and always stay in their place. When I do a math equation, I see the numbers on the ladder and they have to come out to the left and interact with each other to solve the problem. And nobody likes 9 because he’s a jerk. You know that thing you were saying about getting bullied in school😂? Yeah… Edited because Siri loves to make me sound illiterate
Funny, I have always thought of numbers 0 - 9 having genders and personalities, although I've never actually thought through the interactions between them for solving the math equations. But then again, math isn't really in my wheelhouse. I did the same thing with colors too. I never realized this was actually a "thing" with a name. And Mike, I completely disagree with you and your sources regarding our subconscious judgements about people often being correct. If that were true, the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" wouldn't be so well known or so frequently used. How often do people get judged for tattoos, piercings, hair color, clothes (style, brand, condition, appropriateness for the surroundings), their car, their job, etc... We get judged for all sorts of things by people we encounter, yet the likelihood of those things being inaccurate reflections of our character, social status, financial situation or other traits such as trustworthiness, beliefs or work ethics is pretty equal to the chance that that they'd result in people accurately judging who we are upon initially meeting us. And some of us are so busy trying to remember people's names and worrying about what people think of us and trying not to make fools of ourselves that we really don't concern ourselves with judging people or running through mental checklists of things upon which we might judge someone we're meeting and for those of us who don't find things like that important, we're even less likely to be judgmental of people and prefer to reserve our judgement of someone for their actions rather than speculation.

I know people will think this is fake but when my hip went out and I went down hard and scared and my 5-year-old daughter picked me up. She took her two hands grabbed my one hand I was holding out and pick me up to my feet. She was leaning back and pulled me up. I'm over 200+ lbs. I wish I would have had cameras then.
When my sister and I were little, I was eight and she was five, we were riding on the back of our dad’s three wheeler. We were going uphill when he gunned the throttle and the whole thing flipped over. It threw my dad off and away from the bike, but it landed on top of my sister and I. The bike was one of the biggest made and easily weighed five hundred pounds. I was somehow able to basically catch the bike as it fell on top of us and held it up so my sister could get out from under it, and then I literally threw it off of me and onto its wheels next to me. My dad was so shocked that I was able to protect my sister by bearing the weight of a bike that weighed over five times more than me and I had no injuries or anything whatsoever. My dad said he saw it coming down on top of us and then I just caught it by using my hands and feet while on my back like it was a beach ball (why he chose to use a beach ball for comparison…idk). All I remember is seeing my little sister who was going to be crushed by the bike and I just acted on instinct.

@PaganStar313 Well it really lacks meaning when someone says Merry Christmas to someone who doesn’t believe in it. Plus it’s not based on anything real. Nature is real. Ancient vowel: There was a discovery years ago that actually played back a recording of an ancient language. The potter was spinning a pot on a wheel. As it spun, he had a long stylus with a sharp end at an angle. As the pot rotated, he applied pressure holding the far end of the stylus. Speech nearby was picked up by the stylus and transferred to the spiral they were decorating. This was a real record! Just in case this is one that you haven't used before, should be easy to authenticate with what I've written here, if I got it right.
I used to be able to think of a color and see it in my thoughts. I could also push colors into other peoples thoughts through touch. One thing that is weird is that I can’t see pictures at all. Not even of those I love and who are closest to me. Instead I remember others thru our past interactions, along with associated feelings and emotions. Same with recalling vacations or other important events. I can no longer do the color thing either. Even trying to focus on a particular person over and over again, like my mom, dad, and baby brother doesn’t work. I never even knew that was a disability until years after I was out of school. It’s why I had such a hard time doing physics, chemistry, geometry, and advanced mathematics. I couldn’t recall the formulas when taking tests and quizzes. Nowadays many teachers allow students to have a crib sheet with necessary formulas, but I was born in 1972 and that definitely was never an option. I always wonder what doors would have been opened to me if I had been diagnosed with the problem through an IEP. This is exactly why you should teach your kids at a young age not to be bullies teach them the consequences teach them empathy it all starts with the parents....
I was heavilly bullied and even at 35 i still struggle sometimes....ie im walking and a group of ppl on the otherside of the sidewalk laugh...my subconscious thinks they r laughing at me b4 "logic" kicks in. I still struggle with self image and self caring...so kids plz plz PLZ stop ur bullying its not just a short term thing it does indeed stick with a person the rest of their lives
Sadly, I think there will always be bullying. Perhaps learning to be strong mentally and not letting them have any power over you would be a better way to go….
Just want to wish you Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas) and a preemptive Happy New Year Mike and the Crew @ List 25. However regarding the Pill, but back in the 60’s-70’s they found women with just the right (or should I say wrong) markers that the pill actually could cause a Stroke. The reason I know this is because the pill caused my mother to have a stroke 9 months after having me 😢. The doctors found that the pill was a major contributor to her stroke. I was bullied constantly from the age or 7-19, ranging from primary school through to workplace bullying and it has left me with both mental and physical scars. I now have severe mental health issues and very low self esteem.
Synesthete here, my "calendar" is very complex and colorful. It's very hard to describe, as it can change according to events, mood, weather. It also depends on what form of time I'm thinking of. Like, remembering a past event is more like looking at a filing cabinet drawer, more recent stuff is brighter and in front, and it gets darker/shaded the further back in time it goes. That doesn't mean it's a "forgotten" time, as accessing that more distant time lights it up like a spotlight on that point. My yearly "calendar" is colorful and pretty consistent. Each month has a color. Each monthly-weekly "calendar" is a fluid, color-coded zigzag. Or more like "▤", with each weekday running horizontal and connected by vertical weekends. Like I said, complex. But I thought everyone thinks this way until I explain it and they get that deer in the headlights expression.
I'd still pick nature scenes over food scenes. Nothing can really compare to the first time you see a gorgeous mountain view, sometimes just seeing the colors in the sky during a sunset can take your breath away. Not to mention seeing a wild animal living in the wild, I still even love seeing a herd of deer!
My Dad lifted a car before like that & he use to move his boat (on a boat trailer) just by lifting it & pulling it....he would surprise me so much at the stuff he could do....
The Lifting Car story - That's not the first time we've seen this Mike. Remember the TV show The Incredible Hulk? Part of the story was David Banner observed people doing things like lifting cars for the purpose of saving someone's life. That part of the story was based in real life events.
My grandfather lifted a 10 x 10 foot section of a concrete block wall off a man once. A tornado had hit his smithy business and the wall had fallen over onto a customer. He lifted it up enough that another person could pull the guy out. It made the news at the time. It was the first time I ever heard the term "superhuman strength. "
Again, merry Christmas happy new year also for your sore throat, hot herbal tea with two spoonfuls take the honey after you drink the tea two spoonfuls of natural honey
As bizarre as it may sound to say that people pick food scenes over nature scenes, there may be some truth to it. I have seen many, many people at banquets taking pictures of food without putting themselves in the picture. But, most people, when they encounter a beautiful nature scene, turn their backs to it and take pictures of themselves. I've never understood why people (for example) may travel 1,000 miles to the Grand Canyon just to take pictures of themselves.

This is exactly why you should teach your kids at a young age not to be bullies teach them the consequences teach them empathy it all starts with the parents....
14 - There’s a published children’s book aimed at eliminating bystander behaviour when it comes to bullying.
Merry Christmas; Happy Hannakah; Happy Birthday; Happy Tuesday
I was heavilly bullied and even at 35 i still struggle sometimes....ie im walking and a group of ppl on the otherside of the sidewalk laugh...my subconscious thinks they r laughing at me b4 "logic" kicks in. I still struggle with self image and self caring...so kids plz plz PLZ stop ur bullying its not just a short term thing it does indeed stick with a person the rest of their lives
Listen to weird Al yankovich's word crimes and learn.
Sadly, I think there will always be bullying.
Perhaps learning to be strong mentally and not letting them have any power over you would be a better way to go….
@mkjohnson7826 far easier said than done
Merry Christmas mike
There's a lowrider subculture in Japan. Participants go all out. They've embraced the fashion, the music and vehicles.

Airplane quote! Hope you feel better!
Feel better soon ❤

I have calendar synesthesia and didn’t know that it was even a thing. I thought everyone saw the calendar that way!
№24 First thing I THOUGHT of!😮 🤓😎✌🏼
Hella good reference in the opening. Rest well Brother Neilsen
At times like this, it would be good to have Tristan back for a bit
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🎅🏻☃️❄️🤘🏼
Mike take a sick day
My Dad lifted a car before like that & he use to move his boat (on a boat trailer) just by lifting it & pulling it....he would surprise me so much at the stuff he could do....
@@kathywiseley4382 Thats Awesome! Thanks for sharing that!
Nice airplane movie reference with “ my name isn’t Shirley “
Bong hits?
Nah
Hearing your eyeballs move is kinda funky.
Again, merry Christmas happy new year also for your sore throat, hot herbal tea with two spoonfuls take the honey after you drink the tea two spoonfuls of natural honey
Merry Christmas. Feel better!
