Hi great video fished artilley rocks many times caught a heap of fish salmon whiting flathead travelly mullet snapper pinkies many sharks unwanted like port jackson and banjos best to fish on a incoming high tide know people to hook kingfish of these rocks Nearly got washed in with a massive wave it can be dangerous if the swell is high we got onto a school of salmon a few times we had lots of fun catching them keep the videos coming dont fish these rocks much any more becouse i bought a boat cheers Phil
Your right the pick of the bunch is Australia salmon many big ones can be landed here forgot to tell you lost a ton of sinkers in the snags and some big fish as well cheers Phil
You're dead right with the smaller hooks mate.. I've been doing well on small 'whiting rigs' off the surf. Trev's, Mullet, and the ever-present Salmon. Small hooks catch small and big fish... Big hooks rarely catch the smaller species. Great viewing Adz! Thanks mate.
hey Adz great vid, you can sashimi most fish but things like flathead are more prone to having parasites since they are bottom feeders, to combat this problem you can freeze it for about a week or if you have a really cold freezer you can do it in a couple of days. you can type up how long to freeze based on how cold the freezer is. can't wait to see you on the tuna, they have been going good here we got one today off cape schank. birds are starting to turn up a bit too which makes it easier.
Yeah makes sense thanks for the info! Planning to hit up the Schank a couple times in the next week or two, fingers crossed we can get at least one, heard you can get unlucky if they're not feeding even if you find em. Will give it a solid crack none the less 🤞🏼
@@AdzFishing Japanese here! There's nothing to worry about making sashimi out of Flattie. Never froze them and had any problems. Sometimes you'll see them in a high-end Japanese restaurant in CBD it's that good! Clean the gut out and leave them in the fridge for a couple of days and you'll be good to go, tastes better than freshly cut on the day. You can make sashimi out of anything but stay away from calamari and mackerel sashimi. Both are doable and taste amazing esp calamari but require certain techniques to spot/eliminate stringy parasites. All the best :)

Thanks mate. It's a cracking spot always almost guaranteed a few fish. What species comes along though I think is a bit of luck of the draw

They're a sure bet. At the start out just want to catch a few fish. Can always swap to big hooks later once you've had your fix

@@AdzFishing they were tough as today, but then a few days ago they were jumping out of the water. good luck!!
Yep I sashimi flathead all the time they are awesome sashimi
Im keen to give it a go. Might freeze for a day before trying, people are saying they can hold parasites because they are a bottom dweller

This big foot was sleeping at home promise I wasn't there waiting to see that was going on haha
Haha that's usually the time of night you tend to be active
@@AdzFishing or heading home with something big in the bag 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only the pelagic fish I believe you can sashimi thats what they serve anyway
Interesting to know why it's the case tho. Can't help but think flatty sashimi would go off its head
@@AdzFishing I think it’s because of the fat content and the fact they are always moving so the meat is semi cooked or red flesh
Where are you from originally master rock fishing?????!?!!?!
From Atlantis bro
Big hooks catch big fish, small hooks catch all fish.
