Growing up my mom would keep the tree up for as long as my dad would let her. Sometimes it staid up until March bc we all loved the light it brought to a dark corner of the living room. 🤣 my own husband has a strict first week of January rule 😀 I love all of your home and recipe videos!!

I have same feelings. Less stuff makes me happier and have less anxiety. I put Christmas away and haven’t put out the “regulars” yet. Going thru everything as I go. Took one load to good will. I want to do linen closets soon. Love your videos and family. 💗

Love your daily vlogs, cooking, cleaning, etc. Really like the mix of all. No Christmas before Dec 1, nativity went up first, tree always went up Christmas eve, tree came down Jan 2, non "winter" by end of 1st week of January, nativity stayed up thru January. Christ's was always the emphasis of Christmas season, and there was always a cross as well to remind us why He was born.

Yes I grew up with my parents believing in getting all the Christmas decorations put away and the tree down the week after Christmas and definitely before New Years! So I have always done that, and usually ready for it. I'm slower now at 70 and have family help with carrying the totes but it gets done. Love your home it always looks good. I love your decorating taste. My tree came down the day after Christmas and I am struggling of how I want to decorate now. I live in Kentucky where it was 60 degrees on Christmas Day and January 6 we got 9 inches of snow!! Lol ! I am really loving the color green so I am wanting to incorporate greens into my home. I too love plants I have them in every room.🤍

"Clutter breeds chaos" - That is exactly how I feel about Christmas decor and the busyness of the Christmas season. We really enjoy taking the decor down, having blank shelves/tables through the winter, and really turning into the Word in the month of January. We live in Colorado, so I put my snowman collection out when the Christmas decorations come down. That way the house doesn’t seem so bare and it’s not as crowded with the tree. On the porch I have some antiques: skis, skates, crocks, sled, etc. which we enjoy through spring.

You are so cute with your pregnant belly I had my third November 2019 and I had my fourth July this last year 2021 plus all the craziness of 2020 it’s all been a whirl wind now adjusting to having 4 kids and 4 pets and everything else a mom does and homeschooling . I finally feel like I’m getting my life sort of together . Figuring out how to keep a cleaning schedule . Putting my health and weight a priority and making sure I spend time with Jesus . Make sure to give yourself grace . It will probably be easier for you having your boys in school to keep the house clean once baby comes. Growing up Roman Catholic, we keep our Christmas tree / decorations up and enjoy them until just after Epiphany, which is Jan. 6th. We take things down the weekend after Jan. 6th. We have more time to enjoy them after Christmas, and today we rec'd our first snow in PA...so it does look ALOT like Christmas here!
I love when you cook especially Mennonite or Amish traditional foods. I love anything that the children are in like an outing to the beach and besides that.......I love everything you do. I love all your videos you put out! I live about 65 miles from Lancaster, PA and my cousin and I take day trips about 3 times a month. We do our grocery shopping, drive the back roads, it gives us such a peaceful feeling, we just love it! Watching your videos does the same for me. Here in Arkansas, I put Christmas up in December and take it down January 2nd (leaving my snowmen out until February). I spend January decluttering and resetting our home, room by room(kind of flylady style). So glad to see a Lynette cleaning video today. ❤ Back to finishing my bedroom refresh. Going to bed tonight is going to be soooo nice.

Just took our Christmas decorations down today. The house is so blah with it all gone. Not to sure what I can do to liven it up. Valentine's is around the corner so most likely I will DIY some decorations that I have in my stash.

My kids are grown and gone and we have grandchildren but they aren’t close in miles (just in our hearts!) I so enjoy your decorating etc. whatever you do is fine. I grew up with us always taking all the Christmas decorations down after New Years! Since I grew up and got married 17 years ago now and have my own child I normally take my stuff down the first week/weekend of the New Year.
I take my Christmas down after the 6th of Jan, 3 Kings Day, also known as the Epiphany. Glad to see this type of video from u again.
I love taking down the decor before New Year. This year was very different for me, I got Pnuemonia followed with diagnosis of a clot in my lung. My focus changed and I needed to rest for three weeks after hospital, I didn't drive or go shopping. I'm better now and it gave me time to be so grateful vto be aliv and ha e such caring nurses, Drs here in New Zealand. I love your scriptures and Godly thoughts, your home always looks lovely when you decorate. Cheers Diana

All my Christmas decor is still up. 😀 I used to leave it up through like March(ish) when we lived in NY because it just seemed right with the long cold winters. We live in NC now so it will probably come down later this month. I'm usually not in a hurry though.

I take my tree down after Epiphany. I live in snowy New Jersey. I put some pine cones and dark green greenery in bowls and a few winter snowy looking pictures on the walls. Lots of battery operated candles under cloches add to the cozy look

A fresh start to a new year. Yes, I do this too however I still have our decorations up. We have some snow here and the decorations are too cosy to take down. I have been busy baking and shoveling snow. We don't have a white Christmas very often here in Surrey,BC, Canada. Happy New Year all. Hope this is a good year for us all!

This year, we took decorations down on January 2nd. We intended to only take one tree down (we have four) but next thing you know, we got on a roll and took it all down and had it all put away. It was nice to refresh the house and get things clean. Next will be some kitchen cabinet decluttering.
I don't put up Christmas decorations until about 5 days after Thanksgiving then I leave them up until right after New Year's Day. That seems about right for us and it was how we did it when I was a child.

I loved this video. Whatever videos you put up suits me fine. I have quite a few plants but they are all mainly the same type, I dont have much luck with plants. I do have a Christmas cactus, several Aloe Vera plants and a peace Lily. xx
