You don't remember President Trump telling you one of those reasons? Because America (not the Swamp, but We The People) pays the most & others don't pay their fair share. Just recently, I think it was France that he was talking about, he said that in order for them to be paid up, it would cost them $100 BILLION dollars.

Wilkerson is a smart, eminently sensible man. He recently lost his beloved wife and for that I offer my condolences. In spite of that loss he is still speaking up against the insanity of current Western leadership and offering his wisdom, experience and insights.

Why do people keep acting as if Biden is the one making the decisions here? I watched my grandma pass away from dementia. I'm presently watching my father's decline. Anyone who has had a close family member with Dementia knows damn well that Biden is to the point that his competency window for decision making is very small. My grandma did not begin staring off into space like he does or lose control of her bowels until she had advanced dementia. He acts just like she did. It is not for the employee's to tell the employer what they can and / or cannot do no matter their personal feelings. Even less so regarding military ranks. Powell was his superior and Colonel Wilkerson was trained to do as duty required without fear nor favor. Eventually Powell himself could no longer reconcile what was being asked of him, with his duty to the US constitution, at which point he retired long before the end of the Bush presidency and by all accounts lived with considerable regret for the rest of his days. Colonel Wilkerson has been very open and honest about his and Powell's regrets and mistakes over the last 15 years and he has devoted the remainder of his life post that time to making up for that.

I was in the UK forces in the late 70’s early 80’s. I distinctly remember all the training we did was to slow the presumed Russian advance until reinforcements and or nuclear weapons could be utilised. There were more than 100,000 US troops at that time. (More than one-third of troop deployments during 1950-2000 were to Germany alone, which hosted over 10,000,000 U.S. military personnel.)

The Colonel suggests that to arrest the decline of the American empire that it must start treating other countries with some equality. As a non-American but having known Americans personally and followed their domestic and foreign policies for 40 years, I just don't see how they can drop their inherent arrogance enough to do that.
