- This is the final 9 ball match in a race to 11....Tadd opens up the match with a nice 3 pack.Note the terrible roll that Hatch gets in the middle of the match(20:30) due solely to the table roll.Very unfortunate!
If Tad kept playing there's no telling what he would have accomplished in pool, fast and loose, man, what a talent! 🌍🌛🌞
Yeah, I was a big fan of his back in the day. His emotional ups and downs are what caused his problems IMHO. There are so many talented and gifted people out there that never really achieve their potential because of their poor upbringings that cause baggage and demons in adulthood. Again, I could be totally wrong but it seems to be a common theme and something I've observed my entire life.
Love Tadd's play back then. Honestly, both of them have real pocketing power. And finesse too. Great great match. Thanks John
Glad you enjoyed it. I do still have one more Tadd match to upload but I have to get motivated....lol.....It's Tadd vs Buddy Hall at South Bay. 9-ball best of three sets will require two separate uploads.
Thanks for the comment:)
Mark was the best under the radar player in the World back then, Wish he stuck strictly to pool, he would be among the Greats for sure, shot straighter than ANYONE I've ever seen, and fast
The same could be said of Tony Watson. Most talented player I've ever seen.
Just got down and shot, doesn’t walk around the table picking lint. Players of today should take notes
I walked through the Sands Regency Open with Mark Tadd and all of the champions were there...no one asked him to play and they gave him respect when he walked through the room. Great player and anyone who could play new that....
Great match!!! Both played well!!!! I don't know Dennis but Mark is one of the nicest Guy's I've ever met!!!! Hope he's doing good in the smoky mountain shootout this weekend!!!!! :-)
A Dennis Hatch helped the team USA win the 2009 Mosconi cup and also won the mvp for that tournament dude played like a beast against team Europe
I would say Dennis Hatch will go to the hall of Fame someday. He's that good.
Nice match! Pleasure to watch Mark play 9 ball and one pocket too.
Great match, thanks for the upload.
This is the year Tadd got first in nine ball and banks. He lost one pocket by one game I believe. If I remember correct he beat everyone in the 256 man 9-ball field 11-3 or worse but this match. Nobody else got over 3 games on him
Very good match. Not many safe plays just making balls & runouts. They both played well. Dennis got a bad table roll but at the same time I would’ve hit inside on the short to run into the 8 not up and down. Mark not only made the 9 in a break but also had a shot on the low ball on almost every one of his breaks which is key.
No question the slate is off at the seam underneath the table cloth making the cue ball roll to its left out of angle for a shot. I mean it's really off and very noticeable even by the fans watching especially when the cue ball comes to a rest. I didn't know the score because its not posted but an unsuccessful attempt was made to jump to make the resulting shot.
Great match. They both played well other than a few mistakes but hey that’s what happens unless you’re a robot. Lol.
Never seen Mark play, but he can shoot!👍🏼
Yeah,he was something to see back then.
He played as good as anyone when he was playing
I didn't know DJ Yella was so good at pool
Mark played great
These guys are GOOD
The publisher makes mention of a bad table roll at 20:30...yes, the table rolled badly, but the shot selection was awful. Zero reason to go up and down on that shot. Dennis would probably tell you the same thing in retrospect.
Tom Stathis Are you Jr or Sr?
John Adams, this is the one who "used ta could play a little"...Jr.
Tom Stathis Yeah, you could definitely play a little.I used to enjoy watching your matches and playing you.
John Adams I'm so far removed from my pool years I've forgotten much of it...where did you have the pleasure (haha) of seeing me dog it, and where did we play?
Tom Stathis Back in the mid 90's at Cecil and Julie Messir's tournaments mainly. The days of Al Jones,Sebastian Franco,Al Martinez,Rich Idrovo,Norm Whines,Mark Pratico, etc
5-inch corners ?
Yeah, those old Murray's had some wide pockets. The tables for this event were not the greatest, thats for sure.
They became more famous after The Color of Money.
They were crappy tables. Those metal blind corners were nasty. They dinged cues .
The rails bolted through the frame liner outside of the slates. Nasty thuds in them.
A friend of mine had one of them. He couldn't give them away after he went out and got a Gold Crown II.
Back in his day, Barack Obama sure could play!
I was thinking DJ Yella from NWA lol
I used to play poo with mak at bllards Palace in salt lake City Utah
I used to hang out in Utah in Murray
Mark was a Tadd put off, but Dennis couldn't quite Hatch his plan.
People in the bleachers were whistling while Dennis was shooting. I remember this. They were trying to shark him.
Dennis is a player that has always puzzled me.The guy was incredibly talented but never won anything! I know he won a lot of local tournaments and higher amateur events but he never made a presence on the pro tour. The way he played he should have won at least 3 or 4 major pro events.
@@Grayback1973 That's not true. He won the Denver Camel 10 Ball tournament, defeating Johnny Archer in the finals. He also won the Players Championship. It was an odd format with 2 halves involved, but everyone was there. He beat Efren, Buddy, Varner. He had a few 2nd place finishes also in top flight tournaments.
fucking slugfest if ive ever seen one
I heard he passed a few years ago. Tadomy was his correct last name
No he didn't.
@@wildmansamurai3663 I know Danny Medina did but mark i was told that a couple of times.
@@clydehinman7810 Yeah he's alive.
@@wildmansamurai3663 good. man oh man one of the nicest cue ball twisters in the world. I ate lunch with him when I was in Murray Utah. I was trying to stay above water on the road and he told me some stories and gave me good advice. That was 1993.
@@clydehinman7810 Great player
