Without going into details, I want to say that I recently had a customer service issue with Henson regarding a razor I bought from the Henson web site. Their customer support was excellent, you could not have asked for better. The incident this gentleman is describing sounded like a simple mistake on Henson's part which they corrected. I've bought a couple of razors from their web site, I've gotten excellent customer service from Henson when I needed it, and I would not hesitate to buy directly from Henson again. His put down of the company seems unfair to me, and no, I do not work for Henson. I do however appreciate the thoughtful review of the Winning Razor and the Henson razor, although personally, I prefer the Henson. I own both.
I like the Henson over the Winning razor also. I’ve never dealt with their customer service, but my friend had a few interactions with them and none of them were handled well by the company.
Weird cuz I thought Henson's customer service was awesome. I had an issue, offered to return the razor. They gave me a full refund and told me to just keep the original razor. I ordered a replacement same day and it should arrive in the next few days. Couldn't ask for anything more from customer service.
I bought a AL13 Medium second hand which was fine and then bought a new AL13 Aggressive from Henson. It’s a bit minor but they charged for shipping and the product box was shipped in just a bag so it was crushed. The razor itself was fine but it’s certainly not a premium experience. Thanks for the video!
That’s exactly what happened to my friend. The way the company handled the complaint about shipping (ignored it out right) and how they handled his return, I lost all respect for them as a company.
@@TheTravelingShaver Too bad about that experience. it does not bode well when a new company pulls those stunts. Self-assurance and hubris gets one killed in war and in business....If it sounds too good to be true, it is- Merkur Forever, says I!
The new edition of the Henson razor is the best razor I have ever used. I think it is fantastic, I have several of them. My only problem with Henson is they are ALWAYS being out of stock of the Ti22 new edition.
You might want to do a review of the new version. Its a phenomenal razor. I've tried dozens of DE razors and the Yates Winning Razor V2 is the absolute best razor IMO. I seriously doubt there's another DE razor that can beat it. Its super close, nick free, and its an auto pilot razor that is made in the USA. Since its also stainless steel and only $82.50 its probably the best value out there too.
Looked like a pretty great shave! I’ve never tried a Henson, have no plans too either, for other reasons, but that being said people seem to like them though. Have a great day JT!!
Many thanks JMac! If it had not been for Grown Man Shave, I wouldn’t have a Henson. It shaves very well and I enjoy using it. However it’s not a top quality razor and I don’t like the company.
Cracking shave Jeremy unfortunately there's bingo lancers out there and the general consensus is that they reap what they sow. Have an excellent day. Very best regards Gordon 😊👍👊

It’s quit possible my friends experience was outside of the norm, but was still worth noting.

Great video Jeremy! That's the same thing I found with the Winning Razor. If you could get passed that suction feel it's really good
It did give me a great shave the times I’ve used it.
I need to get it back to you. Life has been crazy lately.
Great shave JT! Nice comparison. Thanks for the heads up on the customer service aspect. Have a great week bro!
Many thanks Jim! Gotta talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly. And their service falls under the ugly for sure.

I’ve not tried the new version of the Henson. I just used mine the other night though.

I've heard the new one is really good, but I don't plan on getting it at this point. Maybe down the road.
I have no plans to buy a Henson but it's troublesome to hear about that incident.
I think you better off not getting one. It’s a good razor, but not great.

@@TheTravelingShaver you’re welcome JT!! And hear ya, I saw something early on that didn’t sit well, so I never bothered yo try them.

Very true my friend. What goes around comes around.
