Hello Tomb Raider and Night Cap. This is Kevin & William from San Francisquito crossing “trail magic”. We can’t wait to watch your PCT vlogs! Good luck to the both of you. Thanks for being the best part of the PCT!
Hi Kevin and William! No need to thank us, you guys are the ones who make the trail great! Thank you so much for the trail magic! It was perfect. You’ll be seeing it here in a couple of weeks!
I picked up some rocky talkies for situations where you get separated hiking with a buddy in no service terrain. I was honestly a skeptic when my buddy brought them in the Grand Canyon- but I got sick and he needed to get water. We stayed in touch and I caught up later. We felt ok separated cause we had the walkies. They worked great even in the canyon. Now I have a pair.
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 Quick solution, you should both always have a planed rendezvous location. For what it is worth, you are not the first couple it happened to. I have watched it happen to most of the UA-cam couples I follow. Usually both people end up charging full speed ahead thinking each is behind the other, until they get to their camp site.
Thank you! Yep, evaded norovirus. Turns out it may have actually been some red algae growing in the creek that was getting everyone sick. Still nothing confirmed though.
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 I was there nearly two weeks earlier, 4/27-29, when the outbreak happened. I drank water from the creek, filtered by a Sawyer (which wouldn't remove Noroviri), and stayed healthy, unlike maybe 2/3 of the hikers around me. But I hiked alone and had no exchange with others. I do not believe that it was the water but something transmitted from human to human. - BTW saw probably the same rattler which was angry on me while I was still 10 ft away.
Maybe you guys could do a little bit of behind-the-scenes in one of the episodes like how long does it take you to edit these videos and what source do you use to upload them? Is it just cellular?
I felt your pain when you guys could not find each other easily. Something similar happened to me and my husband in Shanghai, China where no one speaks English. So glad you found each other! Great job filming and documenting your journey!
Great work! I'm enjoying your eclectic mix of trail crucibles and comedy. Originally found your channel based on your review of your TT DR and had a high regard for your gear insights. Curious how your Kakwa and Dipole are working out thus far. Cheers.
Loving them both! The Kakwa is carrying heavy food and water carries like a champ! Took a while to get efficient at setting up the dipole but now that we have it dialed in we love it! So roomy, and holds up surprisingly well in wind (as long as we have it fully guyed out). Cheers!
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 Thanks for the feedback. The Dipole looks legit, but I was concerned about the side windows leaking in a strong windy rain. Again, really enjoying your PCT series and hope y'all have a tremendous adventure.
Getting lost, yup would happen to me for sure. Even though ur in a valley u can easily lose bearing and many spots on Pct have no cell service. Hang together. Keep on.
That black snake was HUGE!!! Glad you went to a Clean Laundry rather than a dirty but ne.
Wow snakes are serious out there. I’m so glad you found each other. I can’t imagine that feeling of being lost from your love one.
Scary situation but we’re not letting that happen again! And yeah, LOTS of snakes out here!

Wow you guys are tough! Bravo! 👏👏👏
You guys are amazing!!!!!
Thank you!
The kennels you passed were left over from when many movies and shows, star trek .... were made in the vicinity.
Oh interesting! Thanks for that!

Good idea! That would have come in handy.
2:59 Does that Zoleo have messaging capability? If not you might want to consider both of you each carrying an inReach.
It does but can’t communicate with my Garmin. It’s something we’re talking about. Cheers!

Glad you beat the norovirus! Love your videos.

@@justinhitsthetrail5225 unfortunate for those who got sick. Glad you two made it through though!

We're loving your videos, we've watched all the PCT ones so far, and we know you've met our dear friend Jesse :)
Can't wait for the next installment!
Thank you so much! Jesse is a blast! Just camped with him again last night
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 He is indeed! 🤣
Have fun, be safe and keep the videos coming!
Caught up with you today and enjoyed your first three weeks. Will be following along the rest of your journey and wish you both the best of times

Haha we’ve talked about this! When we have some extra time and energy we plan on it. Along with daily life/camp chores.

Thank you so much! Scary situations when you can’t find or contact a loved one.
Love following along ! Glad you both found each other 😭 💕
Thank you!
Great going, great video. Enjoy your zero. Lots of rattlers, huh.
Thank you! So many snakes out here 🐍

Cheeseburger bird featured on morning of day 21.

Thank you! There were rock walls 10 feet high in that creek bed. Easy to miss someone if they’re on the other side.
Question….why the river bed and not the trail? Maybe already answered, but didn’t see.
That is the trail. The trail has been washed out for some time.
@@MaxZomboni gotcha…I didn’t know.
Yeah a flood washed out large sections of the trail. The creek bed is the easiest, most straightforward way through that section.
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 thank you…enjoying your vlog.
