It just takes a lot of time to tweak to get what you aiming for and i recommend using a photo of person you want to look like or someone with face structure you want, just keep referring to it and match part by part.

I usually just tweak the default faces for both males and females. Those two faces actually look pretty good with all kinds of little tweaks you can make, even when changing the skin color.
You have one of the most relaxing, pleasant voices I've heard on UA-cam! Thanks for the mod tip, I can't run this myself but I know someone who will be really happy about it...
Or, on PC use the ~ key and type slm 14 1 (slm = show looks menu. 14 is the player character, and 1 enables it) and viola, you can adjust without the surgery center.
The section about F4SE was the most useful and informative thing I have ever seen on how to properly install that. The only thing I would add is to go to Steam and make sure FO4 doesn't automatically update when new patches come out. That way you don't have to wait for a new F4SE patch to come out to play your game again.
@@evian4185 Yeah, pretty easy once you know how. Open Steam. Under Library, click Games. In the Games Library you will see Fallout 4 listed. Right click Fallout 4 and at the bottom of the popup is Properties. Left click that. In the Properties menu, go to the Updates tab at the top. The first thing there is Automatic Updates. Where it says "Always keep this game updated" click the button to the right and select "Only update this game when I launch it"
Thank you for all the videos Ox. I finally said screw it and bought FO4 for my pc. Even after my pc guy said it would never run it because I only have 4gb of ram. Well he was wrong even with a bunch of mods still running at 45 fps with everything on high and godrays off. Now I can actually experienced the game in a much better way. Even the Angelina Jolie face was hideous. People tend to think that small noses equal feminine beauty, so they shave off half a girl's face to create some kind of 2018 lil kim + MJ nose monster. Then they overdo other features that they think are feminine, but they don't moderate themselves, so they get super weak chins, no jaws, crazy high cheekbones, etc. This makes for really ugly characters. And if making a black chick don't go with bright red lipstick with blonde hair. Black women rarely do that IRL for good reason. But good mod spotlight, sir!
I downloaded one but it doesn’t show up in my game. I get no access to the preset section. Vortex says the face preset is downloaded but in game it doesn’t show up. I downloaded all the requirements (14 total) and still nothing this is so frustrating I’ve been at it for over three hours now.
If you think the main character creation is hard, try editing npc appearances in the devroom on characters like Piper. You cannot move their heads around to see what you are doing and half of the options are useless. Took hours upon hours to make Piper look like Elizabeth from Bioshock.
So now what you can do is actually edit her head in realtime with the LooksMenu Customization Compendium and export the preset as a .json file! This I believe can be loaded onto her in Creation Kit, but I could be wrong.

Sadly none of these face-sculpting mods work for Fallout 4 VR, right? There are options with FRIK, such as "Toggle Selfie Mode", which is nice to check out your character's armor/outfits and whatnot... would be nice to have total control over the face. Thx!
I'm quite envious! No matter what I do F4SE won't work on my machine, even if all mods are disabled and I'm using the proper versions. I just use the "lite" version of Looks Menu that doesn't use the F4SE functions.

Hey Ox, great vid like always. Do you know any way to mod companions with LooksMenu without using the Ref-ID-Mod trick? That one you need to spawn the reference ID character of your companion/s and edit his facial structure. I want to edit the face or hair of my companions directly like there was my character; do you know if is that possible?
my preset are where there suppose to be but nothing comes up ingame. whenever i pull up presets in game nothing is there. I click load and nothing happens
I just have this mod so I can edit my settlers without them walking away, the base Bethesda creation menu isn’t that difficult to traverse (and the sculpting menu is most effectively used on key features of your character, not the entire face)
For the love of god... does anyone know what the issue is when the preset looks NOTHING like what you've tried to install? it's starting to really fluster me. 1, yes i have S4SE installed correctly, yes I can select the preset, and yes I can load it. But it looks... bad, like Really bad. Someone has to know what's going on.

Are you using F4SE? If you've installed it, make sure you start the game using the F4SE Launcher, NOT the normal Steam launcher.

Um... I've been able to make fairly attractive characters with the vanilla method. You have no excuses, Ox.

Ive made really good looking characters in vanilla. Its not game fault imo.

here is something to the people who can't seem to install their presets make sure you have made you're own first

It says you are using a newer version of Fallout than this version of F4SE supports. This pretty much means it doesnt work anymore.

There is a Race Menu for FO4 too.
And yes, NMM is bugged AF especially with 2 or more HDD config, because the "virtual install" function.
