    Taron the image loader is amazing. Do realize, Verve just doubled in amazingness. It's as I thought, Verve's awesomeness and your ingenuity are exponential. Thank you for this Taron!!!

      Thanks, Mike! Yeah, it's really exciting for me to drive it forward and pretty exciting to share the latest state with a new clip every time. Thanks for all the encouragement, that's for sure! 8D

      Thanks, Alberto, yeah...it's strange how quickly it feels utterly wrong without any canvas, haha. It's getting again some more exciting. 8)

      I'm glad. So, what do you do next? I mean in program?

    • @Taronites

      LokiLegioner
      It has already advanced quite a bit from the above version, but I'm planning to do a whole lot more to it. The whole interface will evolve rather dramatically soon, giving access to a lot more of its already existing power. But I'm experimenting with many aspects of everything to travel even deeper into unknown possibilities, hehe. 8)

    One thing I would love to see is a slider based UI instead of the knob based.
    Or some other UI style that has the current information more immediately knowable.
    :P

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  10 років тому +2

      Yeah, the UI is still crude. I'll have to see how far I go with customization, but I might just make it possible to choose between knobs and sliders. Knobs are far more compact, of course, and one can get used to almost anything. It's a paint app, after all, not a gui party in the spirit of science, haha. But, yeah... I hear ya'.

    Nice update, liking the canvas.
    One question I have is will you add a list of the shortcuts into Verve, maybe on the toolbar?

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  10 років тому +1

      Oh, yeah, eventually I'll do all the context help stuff, too. It's shameful the way I have it right now, pfff, so I apologize. At least I have them all documented on the forum for now. Later a lot of them will be customizable, too.
      Thanks, Telbat!

    Hello, i love you can you telle me your name?
    Haha :)
    Awesome tool, you've done a really great and mature job here and i don't see anything like that around. Even your perpective grid is amazing...
    Would you be able to push the perspective tool event further by guiding the cursor on the lines? So if when begin really dry we can draw a perspective grid and some rough volumes to then paint on it.
    The canvas add is a really great feature also... If it's tiny enough i think maybe it can emulate paper?
    Also earing you talking and boinging is really fun :) continue with those vidéos, it's interesting to see how you use your tool.
    Love from France!
    Nathan

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  10 років тому +2

      Ahaha, thanks, Nathan! Oui, I'm planning to have "grid-snap and -guide" in there, too!
      The canvas is also just a prototype and I will enable artists to import textures as well as I'm going to add more procedural types and parameters.
      But all of this has to wait until I finally begin with a proper interface. 8}
      Much appreciated and reciprocated,
      Taron

    Be my Boyfriend ? (Just Kidding)
    Ist zwar warscheinlich dähmlich gefragt aberich hab dich über sculptris gefunden und ich weiß nicht wie es bei dir wegen Zeit aussieht da du ja anschein ein eigenes tool Dev. ? Aber kannst du den noch mehr mit sculptris vollführen , ich hab jetzt mehrere Modelling Videos gesehen und deins wahr am besten nachzuvollziehen ~
    Btw Verve ist ein richtig geiles Art programm o: bietest du das nur in deinem Forum an oder schonmal dran gedacht vllt es für ein bischen Geld zu vertickern ich kenne ne menge art programme aber deins sieht wirklich interessant und mal nach was neuem aus wenn du das aber freiwilich aus langeweile machst dann Hut ab zu der großartigen arbeit daran ;)
    Mfg Avon

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  10 років тому +1

      Danke, Avon! Ich hab' im Moment wirklich zu viel zu tun, und wenn ich ein bischen Zeit finde, steck' ich das natuerlich immer in Verve. Ich will's weiter frei halten, einfach weil mir's Spass macht, Leuten etwas einfaches, kleines in die Haende zu druecken, mit dem man wirklich was Kreatives anfangen kann! 8)))
      Vielleicht mach' ich eine pro version irgendwann oder finde eine Indi-Funding Methode, aber bis dahin... F2P (Free to paint!) ;o)
      Und Sculptris, yeah, muss mal wieder damit doodlen. Macht einfach immer Spass. Danke Dir, natuerlich! Vielleicht mach' ich noch ein paar 3d demos. 8)

    • @avon8097

      Taron Danke für die Antwort , ich finde das Tool großartig und ich arbeite viel mit Art programm oder Photo bearbeitungs programmen daher finde ich dein Tool wirklich mal was neues und frisches die aufmachung und idee ist einfach Sweet :D.
      Mach dir aber keinen streß wahr nur ne nachfrage da ich mich viel mit modelling beschäftige unteranderem viel mit Sculptris und das meiste was man auf youtube findet sind die ganzen Super Time-lapse stoff wo dann vieles viel zu schnell geht und man meistens garnicht richtig nachvollziehen kann was überhaupt passiert ist und durch dein video alleine kann ich jetzt schon besser Gesichter Sculptieren :D hatte oft probelem mit augen beispielsweise :D
      Mfg Avon

      Ich mag den Timelaps Kram auch nich'. Wer keine Lust oder Gedult hat, sich gemuetlich mal die Realitaet anzuschau'n, kann immer nach vorne huepfen, hehe. Einer meiner Grundregeln ist, zu machen, was ich gern' sehen wuerde, so zu sagen.
      Freut mich sehr, dass ich Dir schon weiterhelfen konnte! 8)

    apropos aquarell: wie wärs mit farben die ins "papier" "einziehen"?
    also wie aquarellfarben halt :D
    also dass die farbe dann keine "höhe" mehr hat oder nur minimal

    Hey Taron, This is amazing. not entirely sure how it works but wondering if there will ever be the option to export a the data and bring it into a program like C$D.?

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  7 років тому

      Hey Colin, you can export color and heightmap (depth) as separate pngs at 16bit. I made a "component" export for that. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "C$D", but I'm hoping you mean Color & Depth?! Thanks for asking and don't hesitate to try it out and join the forum! I'll be there, too. 8)

    the canvas addition is great :) i always hear you say 'i cant remember..there was something else..' haha.. why not write on a post it note the new additions before ya shoot the video ..i should take my own advice as im not very organized :)

    • @Taronites
      @Taronites  10 років тому +1

      Hehehe, sounds logical, doesn't it...but I do those things real quick in the few moments I have and I'm always perfectly convinced I know what I was gonna show... lol... hmm, let's call it a "running-joke" of sorts. :o)

      You know, JUST NOW I remember what it was... holding down [N] gives you random colors, which is just a gimmick, but kinda fun. Was another funky request from Pilou on the forum! 8)))

      @serloinz 10 років тому

      haha.. gimmicks can be fun tho.. i will have to get back on the forum and think of some funky requests and participate in the daily paint :)
