I find it interesting that already in the first season it is obvious, Maxwell doesn't like it when Fran dates another man and he reacts very protective like if she would be his wife
@@empty_seat no, there are just people that are so in denial with their feelings. I mean I don't blame him as much, a rich wealthy man falling in love with a jewish woman from queens? It's straight out of disney
@@strawberrygrimlin Not to mention the pain he's in after loosing his first wife. It's not uncommon for people to be hesitant of romantic relationships after the death of a spouse. I don't blame him for taking his time knowing that he's afraid of getting intimate again after everything he went through with losing of his first wife.
I might be wrong, but this might be the first episode where Fran starts dating a variety of different men, like this soap star, a gangster, an old millionaire, her cousin, Maxwell's brother, Brighton's French tutor, and others
You're right. The episodes before primarily focused on introducing the Sheffields, C.C. and Fran's relatives to the audience and depicting how Fran well would fare in her first weeks in the Sheffield's house. This was her first date.
That would have been more of a crossover with Friends rather than Days because Matt LeBlanc was never actually on Days while Charles and Stephen were (and still are).
I remember how Fran got all excited about meeting Brock Storm earlier. Having realized how creepy he actually is, she pushes him away and can't get out of that limousine fast enough. It's hilarious.
« - Fran : Brock I want you to meet my best friend ; Valerie Toriello...Go ahead Val, embarrass me ! - Val : Oh Mr Storm, it’s such a thrill to shake your hand...... Was it as good for you as it was good for me ? - Fran : Two seconds, that’s a record ! » 😆
It's hilarious to me that I didn't recognize him from Days Of Our Lives until he put the patch on. Then I had to watch it again, and laughed that I hadn't recognized him earlier. Maybe because this party was so different from the character "Patch" that he played on DOOL. What a fun shock! Patch was one of my favorite characters! Oh, and how cute that he was "nothing like Dr. Shane," since Shane was the character that Charles Shaugennesy portrayed on DOOL before he became Mr. Sheffield on The Nanny! I just loved this, and wish I could see the whole episode to look for more jellybeans like that. Patch! Who knew? 😂
@@lindasosa64 The funny thing is, I never watched DOOL. I just remember seeing commercials for it, and thinking "Wow, what a jerk." Then I saw him on The Nanny, and realized how funny he was. :)
And so did Mr. Sheffield. Charles Shaughnessy played twins Shane and Drew Donovan on DOOL at various points throughout the 80s, 90s and 2000s/2010s. I only remember Shane Donovan, though.
It's a nod to the character "Patch" that the actor (Steve Nichols) played on Days Of Our Lives, when he co-starred on there with Charles Shaugennesy (Maxwell), who played Shane on the same series. 😁
Is Brock Storm Fran's representation of Bill Cosby? Did Fran Drescher know stuff about the actor who wasn't like his characters? The episode promoted the theme that actors aren't always like their characters. Like Cliff Huxatable, Storm's character was a doctor, even if not a baby-delivery doctor. Fran probably made a few modifications. I think she did know stuff about the Heathcliff Huxatable actor.

Yet he doesn't marry her in 5 seasons
The episode promoted the theme thar actors aren't always like their characters. Was Fran Drescher implying that she knew stuff about Bill Cosby?
Maxwell immediately gets jealous when he sees any man near or kissing Fran but yet he took forever to make a damn move
Yeah and when he finally did he even took it back.
typical british man

@@mase5995 Not specific enough, but thanks!
It’s too bad they didn’t do a cross-over episode where Fran dates Joey Tribbiani while he was still Dr. Drake Rammorea.
if i am not mistaken, joey's actor plays a "bad boy" boyfriend of maggie in one of the episodes. so i guess it wouldnt work

When he put on that patch😂😂😂
Fran, "Hi Brock."
Brock, "Darling You look Spectacular!"
Fran, "Ohhh!!"
Brock, "Which makes me look even better!"

Is Brock Fran Drescher's way of claiming she knew stuff about people like Bill Cosby?
F:He's going to hit the high notes after this evening.
B:Does that mean that she kicked him in..
M:Good night Brighton
😂😂😂
I was kinda hoping that scene would be in the clip. It was hysterical.
Alright I fess up! The ending had me in stitches.
Steve and Shane from Days of Our Lives
Pretty sure that hair is sprayed within an inch of its life. It would have been a miracle to change the part from left to right.
The timing and her voice was not yet there back then …….. but still a winner!!! 💪🏻😎 ⭐️ 🥇🏆
Fran dates all the crazies
Niles was his assigned slave since birth no matter hes always on quasi strike
Patch and Shane!
Loll I was just watching this episode a few hours earlier on this iPad. And UA-cam recommended this clip to me what a coincidence.
I vaguely remember this one. Stephen Nichols is a hoot! :)

Love Patch. 65 plus and looks fabulous.
I wonder if this is the male version of Erica Kane :)
Shane and Steve together lol #dool
That is what his name was on Days. I couldn't remember. I think I had a crush on him since then.
Am really getting back into the nanny with you tube clips have the discs but it be easier to stream and don't have HBO max anymore
The cinematics were made as a soap style lol.
Streaming on HBO Max in 3 days! I shouldn't be this happy about a TV show ...

It's the hair.
Is this what Joe Exotic did in the 90s?
I wish Val was as fashionable and skinny as Fran, they would be dressed the same. Like that Flushing Queen style.
