He sounds so much like his dad. Too bad he never tried wrestling, he would have gotten over easily. Looks like he’s got the size lol. Loved when he did the speech at his fathers induction ceremony.
I used think that Rick rude was just a side show pretty boy, kinda like the first buff bag well but after he died I here all the behind the curtain stories and if they’re true then I stand corrected, Rick Rude was an untamed beast. If he handles the ultimate warrior backstage and the rest of the wwe can attest for him then I’d change his name to ravaging Rick rude, I wouldn’t mess with him in any arena.😂rip Rickey
According to Ric Flair and Barry Darsow, the backstage incident where Rude slugged Warrior in the face, occurred in Savannah, Georgia not in Toronto. I don’t think that getting punched in the face “almost ended Warrior’s career”, but it definitely let him know that Rude was not to be trifled with. Warrior actually spoke well of Rick Rude in a 2005 shoot interview. So, I don’t think that Warrior held a grudge against Rude.
Flair wasn’t there, I can’t say Smash was or not. All I know is like you say, Warrior respected Rude and never said a bad word about him. I think it’s more like Hebner recently told it, that he straightened warrior out for stiffing him, rather than an all out fight.
Warrior had some enemies because he really didn't like the business. He was there for the money only like most Americans and their jobs. I saw a footage where Rick Rude did a botch move on a jobber and you can see Rude apologize to the guy during the match. Class act.
Never happened, Beefcake started this shit 2018ish, koko ran with it and Flair believes everything about Warrior that people say , Funny how this crap started 4 5 years after Warrior passed, RIP WARRIOR, RUDE. SUMMERSLAM 89 THEM 2 had a 5 🌟 match all day.
I remember Rick having two shots at the belt. Bobby the Brain was training him. The Warrior had a great look but I never wanted him to get the belt. I was at the wrestmania where he won it against Hogan. Rick was one of my favorites along with Honkey Tonk Man and Razor Ramon.
They actually worked well after the incident but it did occur. I would not characterize is as a brutal beating. It was more like two open hand smacks that dropped the Warrior twice. He was wise to stay down the second time. Rude was known for having crazy grip strength and very thick palms.
Never happened, Brutus Beefcake, koko, Rick Flair and someone else one of them guys said rude smacked him in the face, in 2017 ish and and it took off ,no one herd about this crap till Beefcake started it then Flair saw the vidio ,and was talking to some podcast and said did you hear that Rude punch Warrior, he was so happy to help that rumor go around and koko said it to all after Beefcake said it first never talked about till 2017 ,18ish , the funny thing before Warrior and Rude at SummerSlam 90 in the blue cage ,Warrior and Rude were working out together, that was Rude s last match in WWF, he wanted more money, Warrior himself was telling some story about SUMMERSLAM 90 , FUNNY THAT WAS THE BEST SHAPE RUDE WAS EVER IN HE SAID HE EVEN GOT HIM TO DO LEGS ,THAT WASN'T RUDES FAVORITE WORK OUT.
@TheHannibalTV 2017 18 is when Beefcake said rude slapped Warrior, you guys have the video, then koko then Flair and on because them guys like Flair that wasn't there at the time ,the rumor didn't start till Beefcake in 2018ish then when Rick Flair heard it right after Beefcake said it he was all on board, HANNIBAL wold no when this shit started, or go back and look at your videos
Most likely fake story. Warrior was very opinionated and after Rude was long gone Warrior had nothing negative to say about him. Why would he choose not to criticize a dead man who allegedly had assaulted him in the past? It does not make sense. Compare this to Eric Bischoff's account of Rude allegedly trying to intimidate him and start a fight in his office (location may be different but alas). Bischoff claims that he told Rude that he would not fight him and one of the Anderson brothers stood by idly without lifting a finger to defuse the situation supposedly. Bischoff is considerably smaller than Warrior, albeit trained in kickboxing, and Rude ultimately did not take his chances with him. That is yet another reason why I doubt the veracity of the Rude-Warrior story. For the longest time people spread the story about Slater putting Sting's head in a toilet bowl too and it is only recently that people have surfaced with a completely different account of events where Slater sucker punched Sting, Sting closed the distance and clinched with Slater and then it was broken up.
The reasons why the warrior wouldn't bad mouth Rude is simple and 2 fold . First off had spoke I'll of Mr Rude he would be admitting that Rick beat him down . Second he would open the door for Rick to do it again in front of witnesses. This fight would have wrecked warrior. If he showed up to the ring with his shit all messed up ! Fans would never believe he was invincible afterwards . This was a very dangerous place for the Warrior to be in ,with so much of his career ahead of him .also why is this even a rumor if all they did was work it out ?
The proof that this incident did not happen is that Warrior spoke very well about Rick Rude, and Warrior is not the type of person who says good things about those he hates or those with whom he has had problems. Listen to what he said about Bobby Heenan, for example, or what he said about Hulk Hogan , or what he said about Matt Osborne, and none of them beat up the Warrior, so how could it be that Rick Rude beat up the Warrior and then the Warrior speaks very well about him! This doesn't make any sense at all
This is a lie, this never happened, and what is funny is that while he is supposed to be “Rick Rude’s son,” his source in this story is Ric Flair! If this story is true, Rick Rude's son is supposed to be the first to know about it. ِAlso, Ric Flair was not in WWF while Ric Rude was there. No one with ounce of sense would believe that Rick Rude could beat up the Warrior as if he was a little kid! Warrior was 136 Kg of Pure muscles, he was no joke. In addition to this, if this had actually happened, we would not have seen these two wrestlers have great matches together and have great chemistry inside the ring. also the Warrior spoke well about Rick Rude, and the Warrior is not the type of person who speaks well of those with whom he has had problems, inside or outside the ring.
Two hot heads jockeying for their spot on the card. Seems to be the norm back in those days. Lack of sleep, pain, stress, drugs, loneliness, and backstage politics only made it worse. Fame is the only thing left at that point. At least most of those guys seemed to have buried the hatchet now, though.
He sounds so much like his dad. Too bad he never tried wrestling, he would have gotten over easily. Looks like he’s got the size lol. Loved when he did the speech at his fathers induction ceremony.

Plus if there was really bad blood I doubt warrior would agree to work with him again the following year in the cage match.
How would Flair know?
Flair wasn't even in WWF when this occurred lol he's getting worse than Hogan with these made up stories.
You guys are just hating on the warrior trying to make him look bad
Rick Rude did so much to help the Ultimate Warrior early in his career.
@@smithhart2920Dingo Warrior in WCCW. I thought that he had great potential if he could have learned a few legitimate wrestling holds.
Your dad was one of the best .
One of the top 5 greatest heels of all time hands down. Hands down.
"What I'd like to have right now ..."
is for all you Conrad Thompsons...
He sounds just like his daddy
💯
I was just about to say no he doesn't, oh yes can hear it now
Rick Rude one of the Best in the greatest Generation of Wrestlers and Entertainment.
i believe it...... Rude was a true professional in and out of that ring...... legend......
Warrior had some enemies because he really didn't like the business. He was there for the money only like most Americans and their jobs. I saw a footage where Rick Rude did a botch move on a jobber and you can see Rude apologize to the guy during the match. Class act.
Bret claimed rude gave warrior a warning to lighten up. Thats probably as far as it went..
Rude was a good street fighter, he was one of toughest wrestlers back in day!
What I'd like to have right now.....
Is for all you fat...out of shape.. social media sweathogs...to keep the noise down so I can hear the rest of the story.
Doubt anything like this happened. Warrior spoke well of rude. I still have a podcast on my phone.
Warrior respected rude
Yeah, he's been pretty consistent in his respect for him. Even said how important he was to his career
I remember Rick having two shots at the belt. Bobby the Brain was training him. The Warrior had a great look but I never wanted him to get the belt. I was at the wrestmania where he won it against Hogan. Rick was one of my favorites along with Honkey Tonk Man and Razor Ramon.
I don't think knocking out someone with one punch constitutes a fight. Rude just gave Warrior a "love tap" to show Warrior how stiff he was.
Rick rude Jr looks like IRS Mike Rotunda
Looks just like his father.
the only guys that Rude would have trouble with are Harley Race and Haku, other then that, piece of cake.
Your father was an wrestler. I wish he was here with us.
Anymore with young rood ?
Warrior always spoke well of Rude..?
They actually worked well after the incident but it did occur. I would not characterize is as a brutal beating. It was more like two open hand smacks that dropped the Warrior twice. He was wise to stay down the second time. Rude was known for having crazy grip strength and very thick palms.

Flair was never in WWE at the same time as Rude
"It's an upper-body business, brother!"
Yeah, I heard before Flair saying Rude beat the hell out of him that was just a slap.
Yep ,herd that story 4 the 1st time around 2017 18ish and it started going from Rick to well Beefcake started it ,to koko ,ted, and more all bullshit,
Nothing travels as quick as lies

I don’t believe it happened either. Rude would have been fired as they had too much invested in Warrior.
Wrestling stories seem to be all over the place
Ric Flair wasnt in WWF at that time
True
Loved Rude, glad he clocked Warrior, he was terrible.
That story doesn't quite line up but it sounds good
This is a lie, this never happened, and what is funny is that while he is supposed to be “Rick Rude’s son,” his source in this story is Ric Flair! If this story is true, Rick Rude's son is supposed to be the first to know about it.

Ric Flair also claimed to be there for Brody’s murder in an RF shoot and there is no record of him on that card
Warrior and Rick Sr hated each other IRL?
Two hot heads jockeying for their spot on the card. Seems to be the norm back in those days. Lack of sleep, pain, stress, drugs, loneliness, and backstage politics only made it worse. Nah, they were actually friends going to back to their days together in WCCW, which is why they kept working together.
