- When the time has arrived for our soul to depart from this life, the Angel of Death will come and take our soul back to Allah. When your family members have left the graveyard after burying you, there will be tests that you will have to face in your grave. It is an ending that we will all have to face. But, what are some steps we can take in order to seek protection from the trials of the grave?

Du'as that Sh. YQ taught in the lecture:
A) Du'a for ourselves:
1) 44:07 - In Sahih Bukhari & Muslim, it is narrated that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas would teach his children this du'a the way that the teachers would teach kids alphabet. The Prophet SAW taught us to say this du'a after every single salah:
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَرَدَّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمْرِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدُّنْيَا ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from cowardice, and I seek refuge in You from living to a senile old age, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of the dunya, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave."
2) 46:04 - In al-Nasa'i, Abu Bakrah narrates: The Prophet SAW would say after every single salah:
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ، وَالْفَقْرِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from kufr, and (from) extreme poverty, and (from) the punishment of the grave."
3) 46:31 - In Sahih Muslim, Zayd ibn Arqam narrates: I am only teaching you like the Prophet SAW taught us:
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ، وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ، وَالْبُخْلِ، وَالْهَرَمِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapability, and (from) laziness, and (from) cowardice, and (from) stinginess, and (from) living to an old age, and (from) the punishment of the grave."
4) 47:02 - In Sahih Bukhari, Aisha narrates: The Prophet SAW would always seek refuge in Allah, with this du'a, after every single salah:
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ النَّارِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the fitna of the Fire, and from the punishment of the Fire, and from the fitna of the grave, and from the punishment of the grave."
47:50 - Brothers and sisters, from now on, after every single salah, add this du'a. You can use any of them.
B) Du'a for other people (during janaza / after the person has gone). This is the least that we can do, especially to those that have a haq over us - friends, relatives, loved ones, etc.
1) 51:18 - Wathila ibn al-Asqa' narrated: The Prophet SAW taught us du'a al-mayyit (du'a for the deceased):
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلاَنَ بْنَ فُلاَنٍ فِى ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ فَقِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَمْدِ، اللَّهُمَّ فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
"O Allah, so-and-so son of so-and-so (mention him/her by name) is now in Your protection and in Your nearer presence. Therefore protect him from the fitna of the grave and (from) the punishment of the Fire. And You keep Your Promise and You deserve to be praised. O Allah, forgive him and be merciful to him. Indeed You are the Forgiving, the Merciful."
2) 52:17 - In Sahih Muslim, Awf ibn Malik said: I heard the Prophet SAW make the du'a in Salah al-Janaza, he said:
أَللَّهُـمَّ اغْفِـرْ لَهُ ، وَارْحَمْـهُ ، وَعَافِهِ ، وَاعْفُ عَنْـهُ ، وَأَكْـرِمْ نُزُلَـهُ ، وَوَسِّـعْ مُدْخَـلَهُ ، وَاغْسِلْـهُ بِالْمَـاءِ وَالثَّـلْجِ وَالْبَـرَدِ ، وَنَقِّـهِ مِنَ الْخَطَـايَا كَمَا نَـقَّيْتَ الـثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَـضَ مِنَ الدَّنَـسِ،وَأَبْـدِلْهُ دَارًا خَـيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ ، وَأَهْلًا خَـيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِـهِ ، وَزَوْجًا خَـيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ ، وَأَدْخِـلْهُ الْجَـنَّةَ ، وَأَعِـذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَـبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّـارِ
"O Allah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honorable his reception. Expand his grave, and cleanse him with water, snow and hail [water], and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. And exchange his home for a better home, and his companion for a better companion, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into the Garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire."
52:49 - Make this du'a after the third takbir. In case you have not memorized it in Arabic, you are allowed to say it in English or any language because it is a du'a, it's not the Qur'an.

Subhanallah we learn so much about life which is temporary, yet we learn nothing of the day we die, may Allah swt bless us all tawfeeq to prepare for our death n that of loved ones.
if you recite this after every salat then nothing will be stopping you from entering jannah except death
Quote from the Holy Quran, Al-Baqara 2:255
Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.
Allahu la ilaha illa huwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la takhuthuhu sinatun wala nawmun lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi man tha allathee yashfaAAu AAindahu illa biithnihi yaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoona bishayin min AAilmihi illa bima shaa wasiAAa kursiyyuhu alssamawati waalarda wala yaooduhu hifthuhuma wahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheemu
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْحَىُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَىْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Episode 6 Notes: Protecting Oneself from the Punishment of the Grave
Actions that protect you from Adhab Al Qabr:
1. Dying as a Shaheed or suffering from any internal disease.
2. The one who guards Ribat, i.e the one who protects the borders of Islam.
3. Dying on a Friday. (This of course depends on the piety of the individual)
4. Engaging in Prayers and Fasting. An extrapolation can be made that, any good deed can do the same.
5. Memorising Surah Al Mulk and reciting it often outside and inside of Salaah. It protects one from the Adhab Al Qabr. The Angels of punishment cannot touch the one who recites this Surah.
6. Making Dua. Many Sahabah RA would teach Muslims, the importance of doing Dua to save oneself from Adhab Al Qabr.
7. Making Dua for your Muslim brothers and sisters.
The Adhab Al Qabr will start after the Fitnah of the Qabr and it will last until Qiyamah. According to scholars like Ibn Al Qayyim RH, for believers the Adhab Al Qabr may stop after a while because someone who is alive in the Dunya, did a Dua for the deceased. Ultimately its unknown and varies from person to person.
Fun Trivia fact: There is a narration which specifies, the Prophet SAW would recite Surah Al Mulk every single night.
Fun Trivia fact: One of the best times to do Dua and Zikir is after Salaah in Jamaah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Janazah of a deceased Muslim should be paid by what the deceased left behind. The next thing the inheritors should pay off is any debts they had. Only after this can inheritance be taken.
Fun Trivia fact: One of the times Dua is more likely to be accepted, is during travelling.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated that, Allah SWT will reward someone double for having the right opinion and reward them once for having the wrong opinion. This refers to opinions in relation to matters of faith.
Fun Trivia fact: You shouldn’t speak to the dead when you visit them. Instead do Dua for them.
Fun Trivia fact: There are narrations which state, some of the beasts are able to hear what is happenings in the Adhab Al Qabr.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW according to some scholars, can hear the Salaam of a Muslim who visits his grave, without there needing to be an Angel who carries the Salaam. Another opinion believes, the Angel will carry the Salaam, regardless of where you are when Salaam is given.
Fun Trivia fact: The Maliki Fiqh school flourished in Al Andalus.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW gets the reward for any good deeds that, any Muslim does since he spread the Risala.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Life in the Barzakh series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Barzakh series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. It Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.

نَوبہارِ شفاعت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
شب اَسریٰ کے دولھا پہ دائم درود
نوشہ بزمٍ جنت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
پتلی پتلی گُلِ قدس کی پتیاں
ان لَبــــوں کی نزاکت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
جن کے سجدے کو محراب کعبہ جھکی
ان بھوؤں کی لطافت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
جس طرف اُٹھ گئی دم میں دم آ گیا
اُس نگاہِ عنایت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
جس کی تسکیں سے روتے ہوئے ہنس پڑیں
اُس تَبَسُُم کی عادت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
وہ زباں جس کو سب کُن کی کُنجی کہیں
اُس کی نافذ حکومت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
کس کو دیکھا یہ موسیٰ سے پوچھے کوئی
آنکھ والوں کی ہمت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
دور و نزدیک کے سننے والے وہ کان
کانِ لعــــلِ کرامت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
سیـدہ زاہـرہ طیبـہ طاہــرہ
جــانِ احمـد کی راحت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
جس کی ماں فاطـمہ ؓ اور نانا نبـی
جس کا بھائی حَسـن ؓ اور بابا علی ؓ
اس حُسیـن ؓ ابن حیـدر پہ لاکھوں سـلام
مصطفےٰ جانِ رحمت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
حضرتِ حمــزہ شیرِ خــدا و رسـول
زینتِ قادریت پے لاکھوں سـلام
غــــوثِ اعظم امام التقی والنقی
جلوۂ شانِ قدرت پے لاکھوں سـلام
مجھ سے خدمت کے قدسی کہیں ہاں رضاؔ
وہ رضــــا اعلٰحضرت بریلی کے شاہ
ڈال دی قلب میں عظمتِ مصطفےٰ
سیدی اعلٰحضرت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
ہم یہاں سے پکاریں وہ مدینے سنیں
ان کی اعلیٰ سماعت پہ لاکھوں سـلام
مصطفےٰ جانِ رحمت پہ لاکھوں سـلام

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the : Prophet (saas) would supplicate with these words: "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min fitnatin-nari wa 'adhabin-nar, wa min fitnatil-qabri wa 'adhabil-qabr, wa min sharri fitnatil-ghina wa min sharri fitnatil-faqr, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal. Allahumma aghsil khatayaya bima'ith-thalfi wal-barad, wa naqqi qalbi minal-khataya kama naqqaytath-thawbal-abyad minad-danas. Wa ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta baynal-mashriqi wal-maghrib. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-kasali wal-harami wal-ma'thami wal-maghrami (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the tribulation of the Fire and the torment of the Fire, and from the tribulation of the grave, and from the evil of the tribulation of richness and the evil of the tribulation of poverty, and from the evil of the trial of the False Christ. O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth, and put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the east and the west. O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and old age, and from sins and debt)."
And the Dua in Arabic:-
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ النَّارِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْغِنَى وَشَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْ خَطَايَاىَ بِمَاءِ الثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّ قَلْبِي مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ وَبَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَاىَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي

My questions are related to the topic that you are planning for the next week. If there will be an opportunity to respond on the lecture, please do so, since this matter is quite complicated.
In case if a righteous Muslim has close relative identified as mushrikeen or munafeek, does he (she) has to arrange and attend janaza? What does he (she) has to pray with regards to deceased? What are the rules of behavior of the righteous Muslim in case of death of the relatives who have never worshiped Allah Subhanna wa Taala?
But what if Allah decides to forgive the person, we dont know the unseen.

💚🕋💚 حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ💚🕋💚 ایک بار گھر تشریف لائے
تو حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا میں نے یہ سوت کاتا ہے آپ اسے بازار لے جائیے
اور بیچ کر آٹا لے آئیے تاکہ حسن و حسین (رضی اللہ عنہما) کو روٹی کھلاؤں۔
💚 حضرت علی وہ سوت بازار لے گئے اور اسے چھ روپے میں بیچ دیا،
پھر ان روپوں کا کچھ خریدنا چاہتے تھے کہ ایک سائل نے صدا کی
مَنْ یُّقْرِضُ اللّٰہُ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا،
حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہ روپے اس سائل کو دے دیئے
تھوڑی دیر کے بعد ایک اعرابی آیا جس کے پاس بڑی فربہ ایک اونٹنی تھی
وہ بولا اے علی! یہ اونٹنی خریدو گے؟ فرمایا پیسے پاس نہیں
اعرابی نے فرمایا ادھار دیتا ہوں یہ کہہ کر اونٹنی کی مہار حضرت 💚علی رضی اللہ عنہ💚 کے ہاتھ میں دے دی اور خود چلا گیا۔
اتنے میں ایک دوسرا اعرابی نمودار ہوا اور کہا💚علی رضی اللہ عنہ💚 اونٹنی دیتے ہو؟
فرمایا لے لو اعرابی نے کہا تین سو نقد دیتا ہوں
یہ کہا اور تین سو نقد حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو دے دیئے اور اونٹنی لے کر چلا گیا
اس کے بعد💚 حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے پہلے اعرابی کو تلاش کیا مگر وہ نہ ملا
آپ گھر آئے اور دیکھا💚🕋💚 حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس تشریف فرما ہیں💚🕋💚 حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسکرا کر فرمایا۔
💚🕋💚 علی💚🕋💚 ! اونٹنی کا قصہ تم خود سناتے ہو یا میں سناؤں؟
💚🕋💚 حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ💚🕋💚 نے عرض کیا 💚🕋💚حضور آپ 💚🕋💚 ہی سنایئے
فرمایا پہلا اعرابی جبریل تھا
اور دوسرا اعرابی اسرافیل تھا
اور اونٹنی جنت کی وہ اونٹنی تھی جس پر جنت میں فاطمہ سوار ہوگی
خدا کو تمہارا ایثار جو تم نے چھ روپے سائل کو دیئے پسند آیا
اور اس کے صلے میں دنیا میں بھی اس نے تمہیں اس کا اجر اونٹنی کی خرید و فروخت کے بہانے دیا۔

Are your. DUA'S are not in Arabic and reading of the Quran are not in Arabic will they be accepted. Although I'm trying to learn Arabic but it's not my native language.
Walaikum Assalam sister i am also a non arabic speaker and have been trying to learn Arabic.It is totally oky to make Dua and reading quran in whatever language you understand better because it is not obligatory to learn arabic...but when you are reciting Quran you have to recite in Arabic latter or meanwhile you have to read the meaning and about the Arqan of salah Duas like Attahiat,tashahud and other dhikr of ruku and sajda should be in Arabic as dr. Yasir Qadhi said.
QUESTION: If a person commits one of the sins which leads to AZABUL-QABR (Zinah or Riba etc...) and he/she goes to Hajj and makes tawba (repents), WILL HE OR SHE STILL HAVE THE AZAB FOR THE SIN HE COMIITED??
Allah accepts all repents and also a Muslim who goes to Hajj and does all the rituals MUST BELIEVE that Allah has forgiven him and he should not even doubt the Rahma from Allah...This is a guarantee Inchallah!
Sincere repentance wipes out all bad deeds and Allah accepts that Tauba. the condition is sincerity
