For a bit my car was making a hissing sound, but my code was p0304, so I bought new spark plugs & wires also changed the o rings in the fuel injectors, still has the code, this Saturday I’m replacing the intake gasket. I’ll update yall lol
I own a v6 and got my oil seals replaced, however they have to take everything off to get to that, didn’t change the pancaked inlet seals in the process and pretty sure it’s all completely lose inside, sounds horrible clunking, hissing, lumpy idle, cutting out, just horrific

mine has all the symptoms except the water leak. i did spray wd40 into the area i hear the hissing sound, didnt hear any idle changes. but i really cant see into it to know if i sprayed the exact right area.
Will a Bad Manifold Gasket Make My Truck Jerk when changing gears when 1st Pulling off in the morn and from a Red Light r Stop sign last time i had that problem it was the ignition coil but not showing up on the scanner just po174 n code po3425 ???
My 2.7 3rd gen 4runner is blowing white smoke & has water leaking from the screws that connect the manifold to the engine,(you can litterally see the water drop on 2 screws that connect to the manidfold to the engine & one on the lower manifolf that connects to rhe exhaust pipe ...would i just change the gasket for the manifold or the head gasket as well as many poeple have told me

Suzuki vitara 2013, Gasket replaced , Hissing sound only after turn on AC , delay to start first time in day , then 2 to 3 seconds delay in each start .

Did you torque the bolts on the intake to the manufacturer specs? I know especially on ford plastic manifolds if it’s not exactly to specs it can leak or even crack your new manifold

The ONLY signs I had from a bad intake gasket were poor fuel economy and gas leaking down onto the engine block.
The symptom I have is two mechanics told me I have coolant leaking into the intake manifold.
Thx for info : just sprayed contact cleaner on intake and engine slowed down … so found problem… thx

I hear an very high pitched dog whistle like sound that I thought was my turbo, but I'm thinking it's some kind of vacuum leak
