Why the Nux Solid Studio is great for heavy rock/metal

Bought this on Amazon after a drop in price. If you hook up distortion pedals, overdrives, fuzzboxes or whatever, and go straight into this thing, it gives you a variety of interesting ways to shape your tone, and bypass an amp entirely for a great latency-free home recording setup.
Im likely gonna upload more videos later using different pedals, plugging my amp into it and others. Thoughts/ opinions?

Best review of this I’ve seen. One question.. was the overdrive pedal on through most of this? I’d like to get the Nux, but want to use it without OD. Many thanks
