insane information. Thank you guys for sharing!
Great info! When I used to use overlays, I never completely like how they turn out specially in the highlights. I like how you can control your grains with dehancer as well as turning up the resolution to keep the sharpness intact when adding more grain. 🙂
this is the most comprehensive explanation of film grain
Awesome explanation! I can't wait to see this for Windows!
anymore news as to when thats going to be?
No more waiting! it's here
Great job, Dehancer !
Very nice informative video many congratulations all videos are very informative thank you very much
Great information, nice work guys.
Great. Thx.
Interesting :)
It would've been great if you did this more in the style of "How it's Made" complete with the product shots at the beginning of film grain on a table. The voice is so close already lol
Thank you for the suggestion!
Thanks for the interesting video! Can you please explain how the Beta evaluation works (for Dehancer Film 2.0.0 Beta 3)? Does one need a license in order to test it out?
Does this reproduce real life particle physics with regards to light scattering, reflecting and translucence? Meaning the same as real light behaves when a piece of celluloid film is ran through a projector? Or is it still just a digital approximation?
I know you mentioned something briefly about the grains being positioned arbitrarily, but is the generation of the grains completely random? Because I think that’s one thing about the unmistakeable look of film. No two frames are exactly alike because of the nature of the silver halide crystals. The film is coated with the emulsion and the crystals end up where they may. So no two frames of real film ever have the EXACT same color saturation or exposure. These variances are microscopic, but I do think that is an element of what makes film, film-randomness.
Yes. Like real film but better.
This is stunning results! No information about plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro?
We start Beta tests of the plugin for Premiere Pro and After Effects. You're welcome to join! All information is on the website.
Wish it didn’t lag my machine though,
it lags like crazy. My M1 Max fully specked MacBook Pro still chugs with it on. only thing that can really bog this machine down
wish this was for photoshop too ;(
It's coming
