The PDF has been shown to use 3D printed weapons such as the FGC9 designed by Jstark. Jstark is an advocate of the right to bear arms and has dedicated his life to that goal by designing firearms that can be created by the people. This lead to his arrest and sudden death, the cause of which is said to be a "heart attack". The conflict in Myanmar shows the importance of firearms and the need of people to be vigilant in fighting for their rights and freedoms like Jstark. In my very humble opinion, Burma/Myanmar would have been much better off without Anglo British Colonialism. For instance, there's hardly any Muslim, Hindu or Christian there up until Colonialism. It's fair to say that many of these tragedies that nation facing today, such as racial, ethnic and religious conflicts, started with Colonialism.
Speaking of ethnic and religious tragedies Burma facing today, the fact that the world's longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian Karen (while Buddhist Karen are largely at peace) was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950. In my humble opinion, ethnic Karen refugees fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand.
Speaking of the coups in Burma and some others around the world today are totally different from the coups which took place over half a century earlier when newly independent nations, including Burma, just came out of centuries-long Colonialism, bitter and poverty-stricken, turned to a new deal of Social-Democratic system (Socialism/Communism). Today's coups, in most cases, are changes in the political system only, while the economic system is mostly left intact. Like I said, today's coups, in nations such as South Korea, the Philippines & Thailand, in most cases, are changes in the political sector only, while the economic/investment sectors are mostly left intact. So what is this the fact that the West & their Western news media hardly utter a negative word about coups in Asian nations such as South Korea & the Philippines in the past and Thailand today; and yet the West, Western news media and their affiliates hardly have a day goes by without having negative comments & reactions regarding coup in Myanmar. May I ask why are they treating it so differently with Myanmar and most of all, what are they up to, what are their true motives behind all these? Speaking of the USA-led joint annual military exercise in Thailand, which has been under military coup since 2014, and true, last August 2021/22, the largest annual military exercise was held among fully participating nations, USA, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia & Singapore.
@@knowledgeispower8625 "Anglo caused most of the world's problems." - David Cameron, former British Prime Minister Anglo clans practiced centuries-long Slavery; from Caribbean to North & South America, by wiping out millions of indigenous Native people there, by replacing them with millions of slaves brought from Africa, by enslaving them and living off on their blood & sweat for century. Isn't it shocking to learn that Anglo clans invaded nine out of ten nations, all but 22 nations in the whole wide world?! Moreover, Anglo practiced century-long Colonialism in over 50 nations, by living off on their blood & sweat, as well as on those bountiful lands for natural mineral resources, which are essential ingredients for the Industrial Revolution. Anglo still Colonized many parts of the world, including two vast bountiful Continents; North America & Australia Continents. Among the five main Anglo nations of Britain, USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand, all but Britain were looted from others. Anglo caused centuries-long notorious global, - Slavery, - Colonialism, - Colonization, - World War I, - World War II, and the list goes on. History is written by victors. Anglo Western history books hide their shameful dark past crimes so that they can safely put on a mask to hide their hypocritical images and continue to sell their lies and propaganda of - Democracy, - Freedom, - Human Rights, Free speech/Free press, etc. True, same old lame old Colonialist-turned Capitalist Imperialist trick! UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and some other Western nations are of the same pack of wolves. The UK is the birthplace of wolves. It's all about 'Anglo Western Interests' and 'Anglo Western Hegemony' above all else, by all means and at all costs. That is what it's all about. The rest they couldn't care less, the rest is history.
I love how westerners always contextualize non western countries via Western intervention. i have a sneaking suspicion that Myanmar has a longer history that still impacts it to this day before the British got there.
Sadly this post colonial mentality is everywhere, the country "started" when it became a colony, before that was a paradise with no history or conflict whatsoever
Well I mean they had history before the British but nationalism is a European invention that was exported during the era of colonialism so both sides brought up are kind of right.
@@jamesn0va People have always been conscious of their ethnicity since ancient times. They knew what their culture is and who their ancestors were. Ethnic conflicts existed way before European nationalism.
That is a fair observation, but it is also true that intervention usually radically modifies the institutions and even the education of a whole generation or two, so that the post-colonization state is almost unrecognisable when compared to the original state of the country (that usually was one or many kingdoms originally). Same with India.
Once an Indian enlightened master went to visit Myanmar during a more peaceful time and he noted that the Buddha there is beautiful, but not strong enough. He can see and talk to the Buddha there.
According to Aung San Suu Kyi: It's not that it's _formerly known as Burma,_ it's still known as Burma, it's just that Myanmar is the proper full official name of the country - like "The United States of America", and Burma is the shorter informal name like "America", and they've asked the world to use the proper formal name in the proper formal contexts.
Rohingya were equally radical and uncivilized people. I would say even more uncivilized than Myanmar military I have read somewhere that they killed many minority groups who used to live in rohingya majority areas . They are also not saints and that's why they didn't get any support when they were attacked by Myanmar military
Based on Skys (opposite of the truth) coverage of the war in Ukraine, I instantly distrust this report. Ukraine is presented as a democracy which it is virtually the opposite of, and "democracy" is just a media buzzword for US backed regime change. Myanmar's proximity to 2 important BRICS nations is the likely cause of Sky's interests.
That's exactly right! They even mentioned Myanmar is an important gateway for goods and energy for China, so the West has every interest to destabilise Myanmar, and maybe even hope its instability will spread across the border. Notably, India takes the same view as China on Myanmar. They leave it alone! They let Myanmar sort out its own problems. Neither has any interest in seeing Myanmar destabilised or break up, lest bad things spread to them. Myanmar is fortunate it still has responsible neighbours in China, India and Thailand, rather than the West waiting like a vulture to take advantage of the situation.
@@krustyclown2152 Sky news also forgets that Myanmar's military is fighting against literal chinese rebels. Myanmar's leadership cannot create a good relationship with china like Putin and Assad because they are literally fighting the Chinese while trying to get support from China. The whole situation is complex and sky news has ignored most of the complex reality.
It's good to distrust, but it's better to sit yourself, read the whole post-medieval history of the country on Wikipedia, then check out a book or article about the power dynamics within the country. Military junta governments are usually corrupt, distrusted by the people and completely ineffective economically. Whether the rebels are "pro true western democracy" (they are not, they are a coalition, from religious leaders to the Communist Resistence members) is not as relevant an issue as it is the fact that Myanmar is, de facto, a whole military dictatorship. The propaganda bit in fact has to do with the article noting how "good the country is for China". It is a known fact that China simply does not interfere in the political leaning of their trading partners. It traded with Myanmar way before the coup, and it does not specially support their efforts with troops or aid.
Don't feel bad for the democratic forces in Myanmar they supported the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslims, this country deserves a long fought out civil war. May both sides suffer.
The military is just a reflection of the nature of their culture and behavior of people of Myanmar. The soldiers are people of Myanmar. They willingly join the military to follow their bosses. In most countries, people would not join the military if they knew how corrupt the military is. And they will never follow orders to kill their own people.

Id love to meet/talk with Burmese natives.
But most apps either don’t allow politics. Or don’t have any natives that I’ve met.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Id just genuinely like to understand/learn. I grew up with an interest in Myanmar, and learning a little bit.
I do keep up with news. However, news is rarely accurate, and unbias.
And about other nations, watching news sources often made things far more confusing/less accurate even when collecting information from all sides, rather than talking to individuals.
Thanks ahead of time.

Over throwing the government through force sounds like a pretty big election irregularity itself.
Only a few people know what really happened and what was going to happen if NLD was allowed to stay in power. It has a lot to do with forming national unity government and fixing 2008 constitution. Some people side with military leaders because of those reasons. And don't forget election fraud is what really happened but no one believe. Welcome from Myanmar, the country of paradox.

Almost every countries conflict dates back its history to the British involvement.
Yeah, it's almost like it's a habit of the British to poison the chalice before they leave it to the new governments. The India and Pakistan partitions. Hong Kong handover to China. And this...
Not in this case. Burmese were always conquering neighboring lesser states, but it just happened they came in conflict with the British.
Funny how much better all these countries did when the British were involved and they went back to being tribal warzones once the British left.
Obviously Britain needs to come back.
@jasongrundy1717 Had the British kept their promise and gave the minority their independence instand of giving all power to the Burman majority to rule over the minority there wouldn't be this mess
A lot of the issues were influenced by past colonizers. It takes decades and centuries to recover. Blame Europeans.
Shame to the International communities who are doing nothing at all for the citizens of Myanmar.😢
Myanmar military is back by China and Russia. Which is why even the US won’t step in. Fighting China and Russia basically? No Thanks. If the US has something to gain or a winning war to win, it would be there but other countries don’t even step in. US has gone to Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, but why not here? The corruption in Myanmar is long and broad. This country never wanted to open up,it’s sad that they may never see peace. I have no doubt it would be a place to visit. I almost did but then the military took over once again
Problem is Myanmar is next to China
If any US, British, Japanese or other international soldiers gets involved, this may lead to a Proxy War, or worse the 3rd world war
We cant risk giving attention to the enemy's
This is why it called internal conflict or civil war. No other country should be involve on it. Dont worry it will be settled soon like other civil war.
"History is long and complex" - NO the British and Christian missionaries came, divided the people based of race and religion to rule over them. Really it's simple 😅
Thanks to his work PDF fighters have been able to create small arms through 3d printing.

Perhaps the Myanmar Army took their example from the British Military.
Read “Burmese Days” by Geo Orwell and the history of his life there.
Not the British military, the core of junta army is influenced by imperial Japanese. Basically fascists. The only difference between them is effectiveness. At least imperial Japanese army managed to take over half of Asia. The junta was losing its own grounds against a makeshift rebel army a year ago. Now the rebel army is better armed so the junta is screwed.
Perhaps there would be more stability and less violence, if it were still under British rule.

"Burma.Myanmar: From Anglo Western Colonialism to Anglo Western boycott/sanction to Anglo Western sponsored civil war.. It never ends." 😔
@@knowledgeispower8625 "Anglo caused most of the world's problems." - David Cameron, former British Prime Minister
Anglo clans practiced centuries-long Slavery; from Caribbean to North & South America, by wiping out millions of indigenous Native people there, by replacing them with millions of slaves brought from Africa, by enslaving them and living off on their blood & sweat for century.
Anglo caused centuries-long notorious global,
- Slavery,

I wish for people in Myanmar to live in a free country. Its heartbreaking to see that the ones torturing them is their own people. 💔
@@rafael_lana right? 😄😄

Meanwhile in the real world, Ukraine is a democracy and it is China and Russia who are backing the coup in Myanmar.
