The continuous POV shots inside Michael’s car when he hits Meredith and when he & Dwight drive into the lake are cinematic works of excellence
It's just a camera inside the car at the back seat, I don't get it.
@@theneedytechie2468 I could totally see that, a valid point. I guess the operative word in my admiration is “continuous.” We were in Michael’s car with him talking for a good amount of time before he ran into Meredith (which also appears to be really her-could be an effect) or went into the lake with Dwight. No cutting away to stage the action. It’s like when Brad Pitt’s character gets struck by the car near the beginning of the movie “Meet Joe Black.” Likewise, the car chase scene in episode 3 of Marvel’s Hawkeye series, which is a long continuous POV shot from within the vehicle with Hawkeye & Kate fending off various threats. Because they’re continuous, they feel very real and jarring to the viewer. In this case, I appreciate the effort of the Office’s producers to actually have the actors do the work without cutaways or by using stunt people.
Wow, that was a longer reply than I expected to write! Maybe, I hope, it helps you understand my thinking a little better? Of course it’s very possible I’m reaching too. It’s just a sitcom, and they put cameras in cars all the time. Anyway, thanks and peace to you my friend! ☮️
@@rex-racer yeah, now I get what you were referring to, I thought you were referring to the camera angle or something in the car. The continuous shots are in fact impressive in the show, sometimes they shake the camera too fast to show a different view and that is actually a cut but it's very well done so it feels continuous. In the car shots it seems like they really did shoot continuously.
@@rex-racerhow gross of you to appreciate the producers “having” the actors do their own stunts as if the actors are livestock to be saddled to whatever wagon they want. If you knew anything about that scene you’d be on your knees to the actor Kate flannery
I love how Michael can’t parallel park in a huge space, and then perfectly parks between two cars with like half a foot on each side
Not gonna make this one
I never thought I’d see the day where Dwight becomes the voice of reason, and yet, Michael drove them both into a lake.😂😂😂
THERE'S NO ROAD HERE
Whoever is using any excuse to squeeze out content from this show, I see you and I’m here for it.
That Michael used full cans instead of empty ones for his car’s wedding decorations is a highly underrated but hilarious moment! 🤣
“I ran Meredith over in a car.”
“Was it on purpose?”
“Nope. It was just negligent. On company property with company property. Double jeopardy.” 😂😂
I love how Ryan asks if it was on purpose 😅
Missed
- The car ride to Utica with Dwight peeing in the soda can.
- Michael and Ryan talking in the back seat of Michael's car.
The first clip with the p.t. cruiser is laugh out loud hilarious
first clip is just legendary
Everyone inside the car was fine Stanly😤
‘Remain calm. I have trained for this!’ 😂
Always pack a snorkel when you're driving with Michael. You might just need it
To his credit, seeing Michael's name on the call has got to be the most stressful moment of David's day and yet he still greets him as if he's just another manager with regular problems, not one who casually runs over his own employees
2:15 Cynthia also being married means it's double jeopardy, so it's not really cheating.
When Dwight told the truth to Michael about what he thought about his car, he looked like he was about to cry like a baby and looked more upset than when he was fired in New Boss😊
Michael hitting Dwight's hand when he was about to open the convertible top is like a dad telling his son to stop messing with things
More like a mom
"Make a u turn if possible 😂😂 always gets me!!!😅😅
the way the 1 can pops🤣🤣😭
"Going to a wedding" 😆
Lmao at double jeopardy joke
4:44
Just a joke about Micheal and Dwight driving the wedding car
If they are sugar beets, then he basically is growing candy.
THAT'SMYCAR!!
Yes
The full cans behind the car got ms
Ngl, Steve Carell looked kind of scary when he was getting mad at Dwight for insulting his car.
Why would Stanley rage on Michael’s car if Cynthia already knew, anyway?
I like that he put the hood up when it was a summer day, but left it down in the winter, while it was snowing.🤣
Don’t you think MICHAEL should’ve been the one to over-dramatize swimming back to shore after driving into the lake? I thought he’d be the one to do that.
How dare you cut off "What is "We're Fine"
Dwight wants a German with decent gas mileage.
Good luck finding one.
This show always cheers me up ❤
Keep it running
“I drive my car.. into a fucking lake”
Michaels red Sebring Chrysler
Never insult another man's car.
Chrysler Sebring Cabriolet, PT Cruiser Cabriolet and Ford Taurus. Question: 1. Why doesn't anyone drive a Mercedes in the series, 2. why does Michael drive a convertible even in winter, 3. how did the cameraman manage to get out of the sinking car, 4. did Chrysler pay for placing its cars in the series?
Novak said that they specifically made Michael drive a convertible Sebring because it's the most ostentatious car he could afford. Basically he's trying to look like a big shot with an expensive car, even though that car is a Chrysler and like Dwight said, it's ridiculous to have a convertible in Scranton's climate. The PT Cabriolet is most likely doubling down on the same idea since it's much maligned for it's looks alone.
Also, notice that the camera stays inside the car until Michael opens the rear door
So sue me…no…don’t sue me
Keep it rolling
The video I didn't know I needed! 😆🤣
6:21 frank
It's a PT CRUISER 🤣🤮.
More like Michael being a show off and hot rod
😬 classic
what's the name of the song in the beginning when michael was driving is car?
Just dance Brittany spears
@@hatlesszebra thanks Michael. It’s actually lady Gaga
Bring back the office 🎉
What episode is 01:20? I don’t remember to have seen that bit! 👀
Me neither!
What is "We're fine" ?
😊❤
