    3 reasons people don't stop;
    1) most people have cell phones (unless you are broken down in an area with no cell signal)
    2) fear of getting robbed
    3) most people don't have any tools and figure they have nothing to offer

Exactly. Also, the person having trouble may be fearful of who's stopping not knowing if it's to help or ill intent. In our rural area people usually stop and they probably end up knowing each other. lol

I was an ASE certified mechanic for years and, honestly, I’ve stopped a number of times, but been successful in reviving modern cars? Not so much. About the only thing I usually can offer, above & beyond a ride or a cell call, is plugging in an OBD II dongle and telling folks which expensive part (that’s not available out in the middle of nowhere) is needed to make the car run again…🤷‍♂️

40 years as an over the road trucker…. I used to stop a lot but with the advent of the cell phone (unless it’s an area with no service) and the over abundance of crazy’s out here I no longer stop. The odds of getting robbed are just too high, or some chucklehead deciding to sue you for damages just cause he’s been taught that trucking companies are filthy rich and now he’s got all the info needed to put in a false claim

Back in the late '80s, early '90s I had no choice but to drive crap vehicles. EVERYTIME I broke down someone would stop to help.
When I turned 21 I got my Concealed Handgun License ( and reliable vehicles,FINALLY😊) which gave me the confidence to stop and help others.
Once I had a family traveling along with me I had to be a bit more cautious but would still stop in the right situation.
I think most people nowdays assume everone has a cell phone and can help themselves.
If I'm out in the boonies I'll still stop and help. Being stuck out in the middle of nowhere SUCKS!
My buddy and I were headed out on a jackrabbit hunting trip and came across an LARGE family in a broken down crewcab Ford pick up. We were in a standard cab Dodge but stuffed everyone except the grandpa in (and in the bed) with us and took them to town.
The grandpa didn't want to leave his truck unattended. Just as we were about to leave him I though, "we have about a zillion guns in here, I should leave him with one." You could do that kind of thing in Orygun back THEN. So I walked back and offered. He said, "thanks, but I already have two."
I replied, "well according to the anti-gunners in this situation we should have just had a shootout with each other up here!"
    He laughed.
A few years later my family and I went to a fourth of July party with my best friend's family. He is a Deputy Sheriff in the county where we took the family home.
When we entered the back yard where the party was I heard someone yell, " hey, it's our hero!"
I looked around to see who the big hero was and this woman half ran up to me and gave me a big hug. I didn't recognize her but she quickly explained to everyone what she was talking about.
That was a good party, my kids thought it was pretty cool.

When you were at tuckers house building the chicken coop there is a spot that desperately needs concrete poured. I can’t figure out why it’s there. It’s a tripping hazard. It’s an eyesore. Grab some tools. A wheelbarrow grab some concrete bags. You got water right there. Dig out the dirt mix some mud and make Tucker’s wife happy

I don’t stop for most broken down vehicles because with modern vehicles there’s not much you can do other than call a wrecker. Being able to fix a vehicle on the side of the road is near impossible. And when driving a semi it’s against company policy and a big liability issue.
Look up about trucking companies being sued because someone hit their truck while helping someone broke down on the side of the road.

So much that can be said about the generosity that you and the other utubers and Kip show. As far as people stopping to help, I think that cell phones have lead to a big decrease in people stopping since the ones that are in trouble probably have already called for help.

Once I tried to help someone, they had this huge list of things they said I “needed” to do. They seriously acted like I somehow owed them all if it because I stopped to check on them. I’ve helped people since then but that time is always in my head and likely affects my decision.

It’s so great to see you both on the UA-cam once again. It was, perhaps, great experience working with the Yellow shop, and I know you guys can create new and excellent content, so please be encouraged!!! Love what you did to help out a man in need.

I went back to college in my late 30s and did a similar research city vs country road for my Social Psychology class, with a twist. We had 2 young ladies and 2 young men, I was doing documentation, and had gals with hood up with fast results, immediately someone stopped in country, about 5 minutes in city. Guys took longer in city, almost 15 minutes and interesting thing was that it was a lady who first stopped, and about 5 minutes in country. This was 25 years ago. 😊😊😊😊

You guys are great! I went through some bad times in the past six years. Border line homeless for a bit. I live in an old trailer now. Cook outside, use an out house. Things are getting better. But when I was at my lowest I had no food for days at a time. The food bank probably saved my life. Of guys get in the giving mood again, odd like to through the idea in the ring. Going hungry is a terrible thing on the mind and body. You guys got me all teared up watching. You’re good humans 😊

Absolutely Love what you guys did for Curt and his family this world needs more people like you guys I wish I had friends like you guys because they are few and far between these days so when you find friends like that you better fight to hang onto them because they're few and far between , in today's world theyre are too many people that only think of themselves and do what they can to take advantage others and kick people when the. but you guys aren't like that it's very very obvious that your genuine people and you have lots of Love in your hearts for others.
Tell George Thank You for everything he does as well, and we don't get to see him as much as the rest of your team .
If I Lived in Utah I'd love to help you guys with any projects you have helping other in need but I live in Southern Ohio so it would be kinda hard to help you with projects from here.
God bless and keep up the good work. I enjoy watching ya'll.
BTW the beard thing kinda sucks but you'll have that when your playing hard and yoy get carried away , Ouch that had to hurt but ya took it like a man ..
    God Bless
    Kyle

I forgot who did it, but they had a vehicle with a frunk. They put a grill in the frunk and it was smoking like a over heated engine. When people pulled over they gave them a hot meal

When your airing up on the side of the road after a trail everyone will stop. When you broke down no one will stop.

Man. I am not crying you are crying. 😭😭😭 the lift story never gets old. If I lived closer to the mechanic he would be “my guy” for car repairs.
As a kid my dad would stop for everyone. We were taught to help others. As you said, enough things have happened, I get it if people don't want to stop.
If I am alone I will stop usually. Made some friends and had some crazy experiences.
    I loved this video.
