There's all sorts of provisions for doctors to treat patients who can't give informed consent. It usually is up to legal guardians.

I’m all for anyone who wants to do it but counseling and mental health should be a doctor’s top priority for patients who are considering it. For so many reasons.

The WPATH statement at the end of this report is typical of ideologues: what they claim to be doing is the very opposite of what they are doing.
They do have 113 years of medical science, 29 years of neuroanatomy science, 25 years of animal studies, 19 years of genetic studies all showing that Trans is a biological phenomenon.
Sure a 0.3% regret rate would be good to get lower, but it was 3% in the 1970’s so they have been successfully lowering it. Knee Surgery on the other hand still has a regret rate of 30% so 100 times higher.
Of course that context doesn’t make for ‘exciting’ news articles. They should stick to the UFOs.

What bothered me was that you could see the participants on the call chuckling as the man said that 'talking to a 13 year old about future fertility is like talking to a brick wall'. And then sort of treating their regret with a shoulder shrug and almost an 'oh well' response. It's horrifying that they treat something so central to life as dismissively as that. The the gaslighting from Dr. Bowers when asked for a response was horrible too.

The fact that the data being discussed, while discussing children under 15, primarily focuses on individuals of legal and consenting age. Is ridiculous. These people want you to believe that this study is based on children, for children. It is not. Acquire data literacy, read the report yourself, determine the outcome based on the report outcomes and discussions in said report. Knee surgery regret rate 30%
Transition regret rate in the 1970’s 3%
Transition regret rate now 0.3%
A bit of context that may surprise you. Sure that 0.3% should go down more and better focus on fertility preservation might help there but what you should really be asking is why medical treatments with some of the lowest regret rates in all of medicine are being talked of as a scandal when it’s 100 times lower than knee surgery.
Not difficult at all when you understand that as much as 50% are lost to any sort of follow up, and that detransitioners who have undergone gonadal removal, are still recorded as "trans" on medical documentation, in order to get the synthetic hormones they now will need for the rest of their lives.

It's extremely sad, and very scary, that it's taken this long for health organizations to start to acknowledge basic anatomy, science, biology, and child development. So many kids lives ruined.
For years I've known about this and I am so glad there is conclusive proof of medical negligence. If I hadn't experience as someone with multiple surgeries and chronic illness I don't think it would have peaked my interest when people said "it's harmless" there's no such thing as harmless medical intervention, which is why the good has to outweigh any harm that will be caused and in this case it didn't even come close
Such an absolute horror show. We all need to ask why so many larger news organisations have failed to notice this story. One of the greatest medical scandals in history has been happening under our noses for at least a decade, and most media organisations are not just keeping quiet about, but often actively cheerleading for the butchers and vivisectionists in the gender clinics.

Around 3% of people who transition end up detransitioning, that's not a high number at all, whereas the rest of around 97% don't and don't regret it. Oh and statistically the highest reason for detransitioning is pressure from the parents and the surroundings. Statistics should matter to you people. Detrans people need all the support and love they can get but I don't support or condone weaponizing them and their negative experience to demonize and ban healthcare that works for the overwhelming majority, that is just insane.

Read Debra Soh's The End of Gender. Uses research to validate what this video is claiming. It' actually impressive how a small group of activists can drive nationwide policy and get medical professionals to agree with and push unproven blanket theories. The danger is alarming, to say the least.

Did you know that brain dissection studies were showing that Trans women have female neuroanatomy as far back as 1995?
Or that the first genetic link to Trans was found in 2005? And that more than 40 have been found since and the genes involved are known to be part of biological sex development mechanisms?
Or that there’s more than 20 years of animal studies that discovered many of the genetic and cellular mechanisms involved?
That there’s far more evidence that Trans people are born Trans than that Gay people are born Gay when that’s considered so proven to be an uncontroversial statement outside of the most anti gay circles?
Ask yourself then, why decades of biological science studies showing that Trans is a biological phenomenon don’t get mentioned in the media. Why those facts are absent from reports like this.

All medication comes with health risks. Anti-depressants can cause suicidal thoughts and aspirin can cause stomach ulcers. HRT is no different - but there's a reason why we don't give these to children. As far as I'm concerned, adults can do what they please as long as they're fully informed. But when it comes to children, fully informed or not, they can't consent. Child protection laws have come a long way in a short amount of time... we reverse these laws at our peril.
The point of all this is that health Prof can't obtain informed consent even from adults when they do not FULLY reveal all the issues...when they are pushing an ideology and NOT a scientifically based treatment. ESPECIALLY when they set aside/ignore medical and psych co-morbidities

As someone who was only able to transition gender in my 50s, the biggest regret has been not having been able to transition as a young person, and live my most of my life in the gender I identified with unwaveringly since early childhood.
A second regret, one that no medical procedure existing can yet prevent, is not being able to bear a biological child of my own.
I have witnessed birth and seeing the mothers reaction when she first sees her new born brought me to tears, because in that moment I knew I could never experience, that profound joy. In a sense it made me feel like I was dead already.
The individual is always the best judge of the need for this kind of health care. That said, I don't think there is any harm in waiting until a child is old enough to give informed consent, as long as they can feel certain that one day they will be helped with transition.
If they have to wait until the late teens, then special care must be given to ensure the maintenance of good mental health to ensure they live long enough to make it until transition.

Comments get removed if the person uploading the video checks the box to allow UA-cam to hold comments. Then the channel has 60 days to approve them or delete them before YT deletes them. Take it up with the channel.

Also youtube outright deletes comments, where they are immediately deleted from comment history, and I'm not talking about inflammatory, vulgar, or mis/dis info...or creators blocking individuals.

They are either, 1) too scared of losing their medical license if they speak out against this agenda, and stand up for protecting children from this harmful ideology, OR, 2) they’re greedy people who would offer their own mother up to be experimented on in the name of increasing the $$ in their bank account, so offering some innocent children up for sacrìfice at the altar of pseudoscience means nothing to them. When doctors are scared to act on behalf of patient safety because they are afraid of what the State will do to them, because they have been threatened with their license being revoked if they speak out about the truth of how dangerous this agenda really is, then we have a HUGE problem. Nobody should be able to override a doctor’s ethical concerns. NOBODY. If the State is preventing the doctor from adhering to the oath he took to “first, do no harm”, because the politicians are going to lose the financial support of leftists pushing this twisted agenda on children, then the doctor should resign, and expose them anyway. The problem is, the majority of humans, especially doctors who are used to being wealthy, who spent a fortune on their education, are motivated by money, so much so that they will put financial gain before patient safety. There’s few doctors who have been willing to do what is right in an effort to protect children from this harmful agenda, and walk away from their career because they refuse to act outside of their ethical boundaries. They took an oath to do no harm, and they intend to keep it, regardless of what they have to lose in the process. At the end of the day, the doctors who choose good ethics over financial gain, do so because they have to live with themselves, and they can’t live with being a coward when it comes to doing what’s right. The cowardly doctors might be making money hand over fist, but it’s ßIood money obtained by the suffering and trauma FOR LIFE that they’re causing to innocent children. The ignorant parents who allow their children to be used like some animal, to let them be exploited by the abc mob and politicians, are just as guilty as greedy doctors.

WPATH is not and has never been a medical organisation. It is and has always been a radical activist group and these revelations are not a surprise to any competent health care professional. Any person or organisation that has been following their "guidelines" is professionally incompetent. The true nature of WPATH has been known for years by any person or group that bothered to do minimal research into this organisation. I would strongly recommend that anyone who has been affected seek legal advice.
Unfortunately this whole issue it associated with LGBT rights and it really shouldn't be. I'm gay but like many others I think this situation is a disaster and there are many uninformed but well meaning people who have been persuaded to believe that this is actually about the rights and needs of transgender individuals when in fact there are many young people who've made the catastrophic decision to try to change their sex from male to female or female to male which of course is impossible. I remember seeing a video a few months ago about a young man who had his penis removed in preparation for male to female surgery but he realizes now that he made a life changing mistake and nothing can be done about it. We really need to do something to stop this from happening!
