Great video. I try to hike either north or south once a week and love the history of south peak. North peak is not as storied but they proposed a ski area on it in the 60’s and I believe started cutting trails but it never came to fruition
I read the town wouldn't allow the ski area due to environmental concerns. The equipment was ordered, land was cleared. Then McIntyre was built in Manchester.
You should hike the summit trail, wraps around the top and there are actually two more overlooks. Plus a lot more abandoned structures and the old fire tower cabin.
