    Going into Wimbledon 2011, the grand slam title race was Federer 16, Nadal 10, Djokovic 2. Going into Wimbledon 2014, it was Federer 17, Nadal 14, Djokovic 6. Going into Wimbledon 2018, it was Federer 20, Nadal 17, Djokovic 12.
    The way he has closed the gap has been remarkable.

    Achieved his goal at a young 24. So happy to see that.

    You have to admit the guy was REALLY ambitious when he was saying "I want to be world #1" back in early 2009 when Nadal and Federer were dominating so much...

      +Nicolas Ahahah he did say it might not happenbut remember that there are many reasons why he could move up in rank besides tennis ability e.g the top guys getting injured

      Nicolas Ahahah well at this point he had an incredible 2007 and won the Aussie in 08. He really should’ve started to take over atleast Federer for the 2 spot around this time in 09. But that’s when he ran into his health issues. It took a while to sort those out until about mid 2010. During the clay season he began to hit that form again. Making the 2010 US final was the final sign that he was ready to take his spot again. And then 2011 came and the tour changed for good.

    Mens tennis has several great players that at any given time could go to #1. Women's tennis, however, there's no comparison...Serena is just way above the other ladies. It's just not as exciting.

    nadal, federer, and djkovic all could have been great footballers... nadal and federer made a deliberate choice to play tennis instead! interesting.

      ***** plus in football you have to wear shoulder pads and helmets and you risk injury, your body doesn't last long

    • @waainee
      @waainee 9 років тому

      ***** u don't know that. And btw the measure of success in soccer is not necessarily winning the ballon d' or... there are many many international soccer player stars who haven't won the golden ball... They are amazing athletes.. have incredible hand/eye/leg coordination ...

    • @blueinfinite5940
      @blueinfinite5940 9 років тому

      QUEENB i think nadal would have been great playing for the New York Giants - I can see him taking the ball and making all these touchdowns -
      Federer would have played an end, and he would have caught passes just like the great Tim Rice of San Francisco 49ers

    Cool video. Although I want to know why he is speaking Serbian in an English interview when his English is as good as a native speaker? seems rather strange.
