Hi can you comment about why you did not go with the Pilot UAT air trap. I’m trying to find something wron with the pilot one but there’s got to be something your seeing safer by not using it. Help me on this on. Thanks. Great video btw I’m building a 2.2 predictor rite now
    Thanks

For me it’s more of a preference. I’ve used the intairco UAT products for a couple of years now on several jets and have had great results. I’ve even done a video review on my channel demonstrating the reliability of the UAT.

Great video, I’m very interested in this jet. What’s the quality of the jet kit like? How strong are the gear mount areas built up? Can you comment based on experience with other brands like T1, EA, CARF. Cheers

The build and finish on the matrix is great quality, looks to be Airex material. The matrix is surprisingly light for a 2.2m. There’s not much wood formers on the forward section of the fuselage, only on the tank formers. Tail section is also minimal on the turbine rail and thrust tube formers. Paint finish is very good. As for the landing gear they are Pilotrc brand that is very close to being JPhobby. I own 5 Pilotrc jets and have not have any issues with Pilotrc retract and brakes. As for the landing gear mounts they are pretty beefy so I’d expect them to handle not so great landings.

Where can I find a similar model stand like the one you exhibit in the Matrix build

It’s called the Lukey stand. You can reach out to Lukey Martinez on Facebook to order one.

Hi you have a 2.2 predator jet. I’m building one now with pilot servos a sw 170 and I’m having a issue with it being very tail heavy. I’m doing the measurements with uat full no fuel in tanks with pilot retracts in up position and I have two 2 s 4000 packs for radio and a 3 cell 5000 pac for turbine and a 3 cell 5000 so I have lots of weight up front. I moved all equipment up far as potable. Question. Was your 2.2 predator real tail heavy too ? I feel I’m going to need a pound up front to get it rite. I never had to ever add this much weight ever in a plane before. I’m thinking of sanding off all the clear on the paint in the rear as I see it’s thick as my 20 coat boat paint job. What did you set your cg at. I been stuck on tail heavy issue for sever months now keeping me from flying it. Thanks in advance. Carter

Mine was not that tail heavy. Are you using the jig? If you have a xicoy digital scale I can forward you my CG.
