The one important thing I learned here is that I have to go deeper into the menus to find some of these neat settings! One other important trick is if your infotainment system gets wonky, you can fully reboot it by pressing and holding the "Hang Up" button on your steering wheel controls until you see the screen start to shut down. It acts like the power button on your phone or tablet.

You can extend the remote start time too from the key fob. Do a remote start, wait atleast 30 seconds and then do it again and you now have 30 minutes of run time with the remote start.
A single remote start is 15 minutes.

Learned a few things! Biggest take away was setting up the infotainment tabs on the left 👍🏼

Good info! There's always more to learn with this technology. I'm still figuring some things out with this new infotainment system.
My 24 2500HD ZR2 seems more reliable than 22 1500 ZR2 electronics. I just got some dealer updates on the 22 infotainment system. Hopefully it gets a little more reliable now.

Dude this video was awesome. Just bought my 2024 3500hd and wondered why it didn’t have a button like my 23 suburban to pull up the cameras. Didn’t know you could customize the left nav on the home screen. Thank you.

Don’t forget, you can turn on high idle in the infotainment under “vehicle” as well!!! Says rapid heat or something like that, then a mssg about elevated idle on pops up…

Can you add electric power steps to an 2500 HD LT model, after you purchase it. Can the dealer do this ? or would you have to go after market.?

  • @bret9741

JB, thank you. I’m trying to figure out exactly what you do for a living. You’re so knowledgeable. Are you a salesman? If so, I have to buy a new or used truck 3/4 heavy or 1-ton some time in the next year. It’s a tough choice. I’m in Ohio and there is no way I’ll buy in Ohio. The laws give dealers no incentive to cut buyers a good deal. Texas, Colorado, Alabama, and Florida almost always have much much better pricing on vehicles, like $5000-$8000 better.
I’ve priced out Ford Limited and Platinum fully loaded. I’ve priced out GMC Denali Ultimate and the Chevy High country. BY FAR, the high country is the most affordable. Yes I could build a Lariat but FORD forces you to have a grey headliner in the lariat when black everything else.. it’s how ford treats its customers like… it wouldn’t cost a dime more to put a black headliner in but they want to push people into the Platinum or Limited to have a color matching headliner. I’m growing to despise Fords leadership.l, they are WOKE left elites who are worth tens of millions of dollars and in the Presidents care $25,000,000 to $30,000,000 million a year, he’s approaching a net worth if $100,000,000. They simply don’t care about their buyers. It’s all about making themselves super rich enough is never enough!
Sorry. I’m all for people starting their own companies and getting rich. I’m tired of corporations hiring Harvard graduates and “good old boy/girl/trans” club making themselves rich unjustly. No CEO of a large corporation should make more than 10x their average cost of employee (at ford that figure including all benefits is $200,000 average among non leaders). That would put the Ford President at $2,000,000 a year.
So the dilemma. What is the best bang for the $$. A Chevy High Country loaded is about the same as a lariat loaded or a GMC Denali (not ultimate). The Ford Limited and GMC Denali Ultimate are closer competitors. In Ohio, you cannot get an F-350 Limited anymore with heated steering wheel or multi-contour seats. So it’s just a glorified lariat.
I guess I could get a loaded lariat then order a black headliner and vertical plastic running up the sides?
Sorry about that rambling. I’m in the top 10% of wage earners in the US and still will truly struggle to buy a new truck even with 4-5% interest rates. Used rates are 8-9% and most used luxury HD trucks with 30,000 or less miles are $75,000 - $80,000.
I’m in my 50’s and have had multiple back surgeries and multiple reconstructive surgeries on legs, feet, and back. Highly adjustable seats that are heated and steering wheels that are heated help with the arthritis and pain. I have to work at least 15 more years. So this truck probably will be my last “work/personal” vehicle. When I retire Insee myself in a Mid size truck, who knows..
Thanks for all your informative videos

I usually don’t like your videos but this video you put out . Is by far the best video you have done in a long time. I can actually walk away from my 2024 with key fob in pocket and it will lock the doors and fold mirrors in . One thing you forgot to mention with key fob in your pocket just press the button on door handle and all doors will lock and mirrors will fold in. I never have to touch my key fob to lock doors or move mirrors in. I have a 2024 gmc Sierra SLE 3500. Yes be sure to set those mirrors folding in . When locked
