  • Today we decide to go our separate ways and explore Seiser Alm / Alpe Di Siusi slightly differently. Stijn is taking the tougher route for sure as he tries to bike to the top. This 8km climb at an average gradient of 9% is steeper than his typical routes so it will certainly be a challenging ride. Debbie opts for the gondola ride(s) which offer great convenience and arguably the better views.
    We meet at the top for a bite to eat and are just stunned by the views from our lunch spot. We see a few additional viewpoints and decide to head up another few hundred feet in elevation, again splitting ourselves up between the gondola and the bike. These views rival what you can see at Seceda, there is just endless beauty to look at.

    Oh, you two make me laugh 😃🤣 This was such a great video, and the views from the drone and the gondola were spectacular! 👍🏆
    I loved when you met up at the top... so many funny things, like Stijn's almost completely healthy lunch & Debbie's high calorific expenditure 🤣🤣 ~ Mandy

    Thank you Debbie and Stijn for a beautiful video. I was smiling all the time, oh so fantastic. I do not like to travel in a gondola, not if I do not have to, but I could really see what I miss not trying it. I must one day. Looking forward to see what you will show us next time. Alle the best to two creative travelers!

    We would have been with Debbie! Lovely scenic views that we would love to see for ourselves. But if our choices are hiking, biking, or paying for a gondola we would consider it money well spent! We would love to hike once up there though. We loved your visit to the Dolomites and look forward to seeing where you are next! Thanks so much for bring us along Debbie and Stijn.

      The 3 of us would have had a blast, Dave and Kathy! Definitely money we'll spent. In this particular area of the Dolomites there are a lot of nice walking trails and restaurants! So anyone can truly enjoy this magnificent part of Italy 💞🇮🇹 I loved just sitting at a couple of restaurants, sipping on a cappuccino looking at the spectacular views as much as I enjoyed (maybe even more 😆) the other days that we hiked. Love you guys so much💞 Thank you so much for your support and watching our videos and your lovely comments ~ Debbie and Stijn

    Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. My husband and I are going on our honeymoon to Italy and will be heading to Alpe di Siusi for a few days -- I've been feeling a little nervous because I'm not used to renting a car or traveling somewhere so rural, but your video has really helped me to feel more comfortable and to know what to expect. It looks so beautiful it's almost unreal.

      First let us say congratulations on your wedding Nora💞 You will absolutely fall in love with this area! It is the perfect honeymoon spot, I think, with its majestic mountains, adorable architecture and even a castle, which we had a view from our apartment. Roads are a bit narrow and winding, but we'll worth the drive. Thank so much for watching! 💞🇮🇹 Debbie and Stijn

    Jaw-dropping gorgeous scenery! I’m so impressed that Stijn rode his bike up there, but I would have preferred riding in the gondolas with Debbie. 😉. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure in another part of Italy! Thank you so much for sharing your journeys with us. ❤️

      We couldn't agree more, the scenery here has been spectacular. Just when you think you've seen the most gorgeous place, you see another. And there's so much we didn't see during our 10 days there. The gondola was the best and easiest way for sure, and worth every penny 😊

    Hi. I just came across your channel in planning our trip to northern Italy in September. I love your positivity and enthusiasm. We only have a few days in the Dolomites and were struggling whether to just focus on one area like you did or split it up between the western side and the eastern side (Tre Cimi). It looks like the western side has plenty to offer so we will probably stay on that side and try to keep driving on those narrow roads to a minimum. Take care.

      @ouritaliandestiny7955  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Jennifer, you will absolutely fall in love with the Dolomites! Our opinion is, the west side does have so much to offer, we never had a boring day. We did venture over to the Val di Fasso area to do a hike in Paneveggio, the drive over was spectacular as was the hike, but the traffic was horrific once we hit Val di Fosso. With so many hiking trails, restaurants, wineries etc, we certainly never ran out of things to do the 10 days we were on the west side. We loved our accommodations and recommend them highly. I believe we have a link in our description. Hope this helps.
      Enjoy your time in Italy this fall, safe travels,
      💞🇮🇹Debbie and Stijn
