Just looking at the construction of her second top, the issue is probably that the designers didn't quite account for the chest ( most other top pieces you've reviewed have been a bit more formed for the chest. Here its just flat.), as the form that it comes on seemed smaller then what her actual measurements where, ultimately meaning that it's probably going to be a fault across the board and not just a one off issue. Other then that, everything was gorgeous. I'm not a doll person overall, but I'm loving the look of the shadow high dolls. Other then them being fashion dolls like pretty much every other doll line, they are so unique and frankly I'm surprised that they happened at all.

It saddens me that kids these days will never understand the pain of trying to get a doll hand through a fraying sleeve, simultaneously, I'm proud of my generation stepping up and going 'ok this sucked so now we are going to do this'

I think they should make a line called Shadows and Rainbows, where the dolls are doing something like a school swap project. All the shadow high girls have to pick one color to go with their black and white theme, and all the rainbow high girls need to make their styles with tons of black and white accents.

my mom got me her for a christmas present and at first i was happy but when i wanted to open the box i noticed mine had white smudges on her legs and large scratzhes on her arms. i was super sad but we could still return her and get a new one

I haven't been this early to one of your videos in ages (I guess quarantine and being on YT almost 24/7 bc of that helped, hah) and my God, she's an absolute stunner. The second outfit is especially amazing. I hate it when the tops don't fit properly but luckily that could be so well hidden here with the bolero. I have been super focused on LOLs lately (as you probably saw when I kept tagging you on Twitter about crusty glitter 😂) but I can't wait to get my hands on this entire series. Between this and the leaks for the next colour series plus the Monster High revival my bank account is screaming out in agony 😆
Ugh the dreaded giving us a 2nd look and it doesn’t fit I feel like this happens quite a bit in RH it’s like these don’t get tested on the dolls 1st. I honestly wish these just came with 1 outfit and lower the price. (I can do without the stand & comb tbh but some people may like those - I actually feel like hangers was more important for the 2nd looks). Imo the 2nd outfits could easily be sold as fashion packs which would also make these dolls & clothes more competitive with Barbie since I think the prices would be a little lower if done this way. But yea those extra clothes made with RH and even lol omg needs to actually fit the doll 🤦🏻♀️🤗
I got Shanelle for Easter from my mom and I didn't have any problem getting her second outfit on. 7:58 I wonder what the problem was to get her top on? Cause the top that mine came with fit perfectly,I was able to get it to close on the back.
I look forward to the other videos. I love chanel's very dark skintone. If she weren't shadow high i would definitely say she could be the nighttime sky color to go with the rainbow. her hombre poofy skirt is something I would really want to wear.
I wish they would add some more characters with darker grey skin. Personally seeing her next to the others looks a little strange because all the others are so much lighter and it kind of misses the ombré look of all the characters when standing in order because all the others are so light in comparison.
I don’t buy doll lines in one go because it’s not financially sustainable but I had to with this line. They look fabulous on display. When the leaks dropped and I saw this skin tone I was blown away.
I feel like they could’ve made her a natural really dark skin colour, instead of pure black. I get what they were going for but she should still have undertones of colour! Otherwise she is absolutely gorgeous and I love her style personally.

Jen I love watching your videos but the extra b roll footage of zooming around the dolls is a bit too fast for me. I can't tell if it's more distracting or if the motion/speed of it is causing me to feel a bit like there's too much motion (not necessarily motion sickness but def a bit blah feeling.) ;; Which makes me sad because it's difficult to watch while you're explaining the doll. The last pan down was a bit slower so it wasn't as bad.
