Nice video Alex,! The one thing that isn't good to see is the BCI buses seem to have no open/close drivers window, one thing you do need when driving is fresh air.. even though I like a/c sometimes fresh air really helps. Hopefully the a/c works well unlike the BCI's I have driven :)
Still watching, but nice to see the BCIs, Optares and even some older NewLands ones operating 60. The 160 and 170 flickers are absolutely weird - never seen anything like that but quite hilarious to see! Edit: Flickers seem to be mostly on the 220 routes, don’t you think? Another edit: Around the 10MIN mark where you see the BCIs... It’s been a scheduling nightmare I guess. I took a Double decker to Jville West - I was the only one in it - and the roads really aren’t made for DDs. Another double decker in Grenada got stuck 10MIN waiting for another driver. Hopefully they can resolve.
Yes, and the 210, also seen it on 230. Note that I did not film everything I saw, in total I counted 7 buses with faulty signs just today. I did not notice any issues with those operating gin Wellington CBB yesterday, or maybe I wasn't paying enough attention....
Those displays could be an annoyance if not fixed soon. Probably need to be reprogrammed with the routes again, as perhaps some error occured when creating the displays in whatever software these displays use. Perhaps Tranzit programmed it incorrectly to scroll to another route? Every time i see an desto scroll over to a wainui route I have a laugh and think "oh Tranzit, come on. You're better than that!" I've seen the shift cards for the hutt valley and a lot of buses that don't even serve Wainuiomata still come from that depot, so I have to wonder if Tranzit even have any depots up Porirua way or not...
Porirua is served by the Grenada Depot. The displays will be fixed, but probabaly not quite yet. Tranzurban are running a little tight at the moment as the Electrics have had to delay entry to service (due to WCC Water Pipe repairs delaying installation of the charging station), and also the 18 shorter MetroCity's have not arrived yet.
To answer my own question: Yes, Scania's have appeared a lot more frequently in the future, and there is in fact one on my local route as I type this! In particular, Scania's #3300 and #3301 are here a lot, as well as #3320-#3326.
Hi, that's an Enviro 200XLB, which is a 3-axle version of the Enviro 200MMC. Mana Coach Services have purchased 5 as part of the contractual requirement for 50% new buses for incumbent operators.
Oh I see. i saw a blue and silver one yesterday in Johnsonville, and I suspected it was a Dennis because of the way it is designed. How similar are the engines to the older ones that Go Wellington uses?

James Peter But the BCI Bus has more air conditioning than the other buses that have windows.
The air conditioning is loud and is ok for passenger but hopeless for driver in my opinion it is a health and safety risk.
Also, is that driver at 10:12 on his phone?! I've just looked at it again and it looks like he's speaking into a phone he is holding
It's just the radio to contact the depot. You are allowed to use that while driving.
Bus 25 are those buses gone now and being replaced.
I saw some of the tranzurban buses sitting at the Ports of Auckland

Can 25 come back
I've heard that Newlands brought some Enviro 200MCs and are in service on Routes 56,57,58.

techladdie - Saw a Double Decker operating R1 to Churton under a Scots College scroll!

What model is that Dennis bus shown at 11:53

Same engine (Cummins ISBe 6.7L), but with Voith Transmission instead of Allison.
The_ALEX_ELLIS_Channel Oh I thought the Go Wellington Dennis busses had voith!!
It was possible to get Voith on the classic E200, but not in NZ. We only got Allison. The new MMC and XLB ones use Voith.
Hey do you still hate the first bus or have you come to like them? I still dislike them. I hate 7150 - 7152 the most lol
Great video Alex
