Broke down when I heard the news last week. Such a talented, unforgettable man. I can't think of words to describe him. He seems very wise from his experience on Earth for so long. You will be greatly missed by many, but will be remembered, always. Rest in Peace and Paradise Alan Rickman.
He is marvelous, so interesting. "You'll never be as good as the play" applies to many endeavors; let yourself be in service to something greater than yourself-- be it the arts, a landscape, education, a cause -- and thereby share in greatness.
Alan did the impossible as the Die Hard Villain...cartoonish, overexaggerated, not believable, yet absolutely brilliant, perfect. Can’t explain it, but I don’t think any other actor has done this...maybe Vincent Price?
@RobertMecionis Vincent, Jeremy Irons, Tim Curry, and Alan all had/have the same thing in common. Their voices were/are iconic, in how they can/could go from tender to terrifying in the proverbial blink of an eye. Sometimes, they were/are both at once. (11/13/2021)
@@daniellemusella1594 yes Jeremy Irons… good call! But Rickman’s character was Batman-style silly. If I had seen the script before the movie I’d think:’another cliche written by a twit whose clueless about true human nature’ Yet he was perfect, and yes I got taken in… I just hated, I mean hated him!!!!
