Matt, this is where you SHINE!! 😎👍👍👌 Just the way you painted "your" Shirt was exquisite! That Body. 😳😊👋👋👋👋👋👋🍻🍺 Axial really hit a Grand Slam with the new Rig!!! I just wish I could have one. Thanks so much for doing this for us. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Proline should do a little R&D on how the hidden body mounts are on the chassis and offer a mounting system that will work with them for future body's. You did amazing on all the body details and paint. Thank you for all the great videos. I've been watching you and Josh for years now.
I was sooo looking forward to see you assemble all four tyres :) Come on Axial, that head needs to be included ! Joke aside, really nice build series you have made.
Sweet! Mine is sitting here now, was going to start on my paint first, I can build the chassis inside at night, but with 90degrees and ☀️, time to paint is first! Great driver details, lovin plaid!
Hi Matt! Thanks for these assembly vids. Also a huge thanks for all the other vids! Although you don't upload many running vids (which you edit amazingly!!!??) I like your wrenching vids very much and you're my no.1 inspiration when it comes to building modificating and detailing these Riggs! Actually I use your previous/past vids for future reference and find them very useful in anything I do with my truck.... You do such a great job man keep it up and thanks for everything!😉
Awesome build. I enjoyed watching the entire series!!! I own a punkin metallic rubicon JL and can’t wait to order this kit. I’m new to this hobby so was wondering if you can post a parts list for the electronics you used. Also, I want to paint mine to mimic my real one, was wondering if you can post a video detailing how you painted the body as well as the types of paints and techniques! Thanks again. Great Job!
Great videos, even years later. I really wish you briefly showed the rear body posts. Edit: lining them up on a non-stock body looks like it could be tricky.
Hey Matt. Just rewatched this vid getting ready to paint my 10.3 and was wondering why you painted the interior on the bottom first instead of doing it all from the top. PS down first then the driver detail over the ps base. Thanks! Love your videos
You did an amazing job with this as usual. I will hopefully be picking one up soon to keep me occupied during my forced "vacation". Im happy to see you tackle the entire build including the paint unlike some other youtuber you know but I wont mention any names. His name does start with a J and rhyme with Josh just in case you need a hint.
Great vid. I really liked seeing the mix of brush / airbrush painting and how you used both on the driver for different effects. I’m sure you’ve said in previous vids, but what airbrush compressor are you using? And are you happy with it? I’m more of a plastic/resin kit builder and am new to painting lexan...are the ProLine paints a good way to go? 👍👍
Glad you liked it! PL paints have their issues as I pointed out. Tamiya Sprays are amazing, but limit your color range. Always going to be tradeoffs. Compressor is a Amazon special.
Wonder if you could dye the chrome part of the wheel. Like say blue and it happen to come out as a chrome blue? 🤔 that would be awesome if its possible.
Thanks for the videos, they will be very helpful as I just received my SCX10 III in. What power screwdriver are you using? I worry about over-tightening and stripping out fasteners.
Almost finished building my kit. I noticed when you were removing the outside wrap your headlights were painted over. Mine were painted from the inside. What did you use to remove the paint or did you cut out the headlight area? Nice videos, they helped me a lot.
I must've overlooked the masks for the headlights, and not realizing what I'm doing I painted over them. My 1:1 truck is low on brake fluid now, but I got them cleaned off.
Absolutely beautiful job, Matt...really liking this one, can't wait to get mine next week. Best looking figure (except for the face haha) I've seen even you do. Mine won't look that good so I'm going to pretend I didn't see that part :-)
Great video! So what color would you call your skin tone? Pasty Canuck White? Shimmering Yukon Gold? Great White North Tan? Northern super light brown? 😉
I am fairly new to the RC game and I just purchase a RTR SCX10 III and unfortunately right out the box the ESC/Receiver combo was defective. What's your take on the road cage you hear from other enthusiast that it makes it top heavy? I'm assuming you have the option to add it or not add it correct? Also that head of yours (No Homo)🤣... Was it made with a 3D printer?
What was the issue, curious. The cage doesn't have to be added, but the amount of weight is negligible for a trail truck. Use it, drive it, then make changes to suit your needs. Head was hand made by a friend in South Korea. Thanks for watching!
@@scalebuildersguild I took it to the hobby guy I normally go to being that I purchased it from from him and I am honestly new to the RC world ... So Horizon Hobby sent him a replacement and it was replaced and it was doing the same thing. Which would only go a few feet and stop which is what the original esc/ receiver combo did...So he thinks because the cells were off the esc and the transmitter would lose connection...So he ask me to fully charge a battery and balanced the cells and it worked like a charm.. I love technology but sometimes its just a PITA.
Matt, What happened to your usual funny lead-in to the video? Content was excellent as usual; but, I still need the lead-in to cope with being quarantined...LOL
I know I tend to say.. "Another" Jeep body and I wish they would come up with something different.. ((SIGH)) BUT>> I have to admit .. This is a great looking body and you did a great job on it brother.. The driver looks awesome as well.. :P
Really like the plaid shirt 👍 I think I'm going to be poaching that idea 💡 🤠
Thanks for putting these videos together. That will help with crappy instructions.
Glad to help!

Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Thanks again!
Your a very talented painter Matt . I learn something new every video..... and I also just picked up a airbrush can't wait to use it .
Awesome! Thank you!
So great!! The way you painted the body is probably my all time favorite scale build I’ve seen yet on UA-cam!
Yes, awsome paint on the driver! I'd like to see more detail how tos like that.

Nice job painting the interior
Really looks great Matt. Thanks for sharing the build with us.
Plaid all day! Thanks for kickin ass!
I wish I had your detailing skills. Looks awesome
It turned out nice! Great choice in servo as well.
I was sooo looking forward to see you assemble all four tyres :)

Thanks for the kind words! I’d love to get out and do more running/trail videos, but I’ve got so much building to do!!
In that case.... Keep building 😂 😀😉
Thank you for this one it is interesting to see different ways to detail an interior. I have seen Hemistorms ones on his interiors no pvc drivers.
Nice paint!
Really good looking car!
I'm disappointed because they not included your head too!😜
Thanks for sharing with us!
I know, right?
I can't wait to get one!
ASMR tire assembly videos lol! Looks great Matt. Thank you.
Any time!

Nothing a little 3D printing can't solve! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, much enjoyed! Hope factory kit building will continue 😎👍
You and me both!
Hey Matt. Just rewatched this vid getting ready to paint my 10.3 and was wondering why you painted the interior on the bottom first instead of doing it all from the top. PS down first then the driver detail over the ps base. Thanks! Love your videos
No reason really, other than not wanting to paint over a black base coat.
Real sharp 👍👍👍👍👍

where did you get the custom head??
Yep gonna have to get me one of these!

Great stuff. Like how you did the figure painting. And imagine if you had to drill all those body holes yourself. :-0
I know, right?
Wonder if you could dye the chrome part of the wheel. Like say blue and it happen to come out as a chrome blue? 🤔 that would be awesome if its possible.
I like yer paint job, interior and exterior 🤘🏻
Right on!
Which pens were you using on the interior figure please??
They are acrylic paint pens I got on Amazon.
My only question is why does your driver head look so bored? The finished paint does look really good.
It's deep concentration.
His partner is reading out a grocery list on hands free.
Any tips on installing the window tint decals im worried about getting bubbles.
Don't take the backing off completely. Mist some water on the surface you're applying to and slide the decal on.
The body mounts look way more secure than the umg10. The umg10 is a big heavy chunk of plastic barely gripping on the edge of a flimsy hole in lexan.
Thanks for the videos, they will be very helpful as I just received my SCX10 III in. What power screwdriver are you using? I worry about over-tightening and stripping out fasteners.
DeWalt 8v!

Took some DOT 3 brake fluid and they're clear as a bell. Now to find that 60 foot cliff to run 'er off. ( no, you'll never live it down )
They weren’t painted over. I masked them off.
I must've overlooked the masks for the headlights, and not realizing what I'm doing I painted over them. My 1:1 truck is low on brake fluid now, but I got them cleaned off.
Does the wheels only come in chrome fronts of the wheel are does some come with satin bled looking
They're all satin finish.
Водитель👍👍👍😂. И каркас внутри кузова, отличный. Молодец!
Is there a way to build this without the molded in driver? Will Axial make a driverless interior?
No, and probably not.
Did your kit come with reflective inserts for the mirrors?
My kit was a prototype, the sticker sheet wasn’t complete.
@@scalebuildersguild my sticker sheet does not have one. So I cut some card board and used bare metal to cover it.
Absolutely beautiful job, Matt...really liking this one, can't wait to get mine next week. Best looking figure (except for the face haha) I've seen even you do. Mine won't look that good so I'm going to pretend I didn't see that part :-)

Did you paint the roof and grille from the outside or inside?
Outside.
Great video! So what color would you call your skin tone? Pasty Canuck White? Shimmering Yukon Gold? Great White North Tan? Northern super light brown? 😉
Yes and yes
You painted your SCX10-iii way better then Josh "didn't ".😂🤣😂🤣
I'm sure you've answered this a thousand times, but where did you have the custom head made?
A friend from South Korea made it for me. He doesn't do commissions I'm afraid.
Wonder if you can fit the SCX10-1 front grill just cut out the holes I guess
Why would you want to do that?
To take the body off easily
After this pandemic is over I am going to buy three to four axial's one or two for my girlfriend
Wow!! And relaxing:)
Thank you! 😊
Are the tires directional?
Yes.
Matt ,could I possibly get the file for your bumper,I'm building a VS410 chassis with a gladiator body. thanks Daryl
I’ve put a ton of hours into slicing up the body that I paid for. At some point I may offer it, but not yet.
@@scalebuildersguild thanks any way Matt ,keep up the good work

Beautiful!!! Thanks for your time sharing the complete series. Give me a shout when you need adress for sending it to me... 😹😹 🖖
Matt who made your head? Can I get one
Sadly no, he doesn't make them anymore.
Matt, What happened to your usual funny lead-in to the video? Content was excellent as usual; but, I still need the lead-in to cope with being quarantined...LOL
Trying something different with these build videos.

Hello
Hi
When you do the review video, you should wear the same clothes. As your driver figure.
Too late, already did the review!
@@scalebuildersguild oh, how did you make your head?
