And honestly, I’d prefer to tell a less experienced animator that their animation needs improvement, rather than call it trashy. I Think you could’ve formulated the ”tweening as a crutch” segment a bit better, but i get what you mean.. Still, this is some good advice. For sin number...2? Pause frame be like "am I a joke to you?" You can use pause frame for speech and motionless scenes , it helps save project space and time unlike just pressing the "add frame" button 999+, times just to get one minute of speech
You got staging a little short so staging is actually where the viewer looks on the screen ,either it's a guy walking or a guy running you get the idea but if you don't use staging the viewer can't look in the place you want them to. So yeah that was the long version of staging
Tweening is amazing when used well, and make mediocre animations look a bit better if used decently. Still, if its Done wrong an arm might start looking more like a broken propeller....
Stiff movements are common for me so i try doing the real action and animate the action on how i picture it. For me, it kinda helps. I am not that interested in using filters when animating. I only use it in SN art to make len effects, lighting, shadows, dust, or blur on camera. Laziness is common to any animator because they have worked on a big project or they are just procrastinating which is the only thing i do alot in animating. But i make sure to fix and tweak my animations when i am done being lazy as heck. (The weird thing is when i am bored and i wanna animate but i am too lazy 😂) I am ok with the other mistakes. One mistake i can give is too much camera movement. It is kinda when the camera is too fast that the viewers can't tell what is going on like some anime fighting scenes or new animators. When i run out of motivation, i watch breakdancing videos because the powermoves like Windmill give me inspiration
Oh no, my only weakness, laziness! Not that i lack effort, But that i suffer from constant, never-ending exhaustion. Might be a medical condition. Im very lazy with major uploads, maybe because im writing such a large world, and then i remember it makes previous episodes inconsistent with the present ones. But yeah breaks are very important, or you’ll hurt your neck, or sit down so much yer arse hurts. I reccomend drinking coffee, with some cookies, naturally... well, movieclips might make my work a bit easier. Atleast with effects... Happy animating!
I don’t know what u guys think But for me I only use tween frame in slow motion, I feel like adding tween in your animation will just ruin everything Sure u can say I’m just a amateur, yes I am, I done even know how to create an element, all I did is applying my drawing and animating skill to the animation. However, I’ve seen tones of animations that use tween frame on it and yeah, you ruined everything in just a second by adding tween in it. Still, I’ve seem some great tween frame animator though, but for me I don’t use it That’s just a small tips, you don’t need to agree with it
The Pagan Owl you should only use tween on movements that you couldn’t properly animate by yourself. Not because your lazy. Ex- Small movements and inorganic movements use tween
why not stretchy movments AGAIN I HATE THIS, THIS LOOKS AKWARD. i will never use the stechy movment . Next: ease is easy so i reccomend it and i know to use tween ok

sometimes making stiff movements can be a way to make a cartoony animation with lots of anticipation but not so much easing. Maybe I'm just crazy

Laziness is when you want to do something, but you're either too tired or just "can't" do it while taking a break leaves your mind empty for new ideas
