Great video! Always enjoy your stuff. Quick walkthrough and straight to the point. No 10 minute monologues like some of the other channels. That looks clean. Your videos are one of the reasons I picked up a tig torch.

I prefer a number 6 cup with a gas lens on Aluminum. The argon is wider on the 8 cup and etches further from the weld pool. I get good cleaning action and full penetration on the weld. It really comes down to personal preference. For cfh I double the cup size and add 2 or 3 cfh more depending on the joint configuration.

Thank you for the input my man! Like you say- i think there is multiple combinations that will result in a decent aluminum weld. I’ll have to give your number 6 cup a tip !

It's difficult to think of everything that you might want to include in a video.
But, you might need to explain the pointed Tungsten Electrode for AC Welding ??
A few people watching might be a little lost on why you didn't ball the Tungsten 👍

Thank you for the input! Yes , sometimes it’s tricky to think of all
The content to include in the videos . I should start making a little list before I turn the camera on:). Yes explaining the tungsten a bit more would’ve been helpful!

It might help with getting a “better” start, then will round off with use?
(Need to try this at home. Last time I did aluminum was ~ 1988 or so. Not sure if I want to try 1/8, though - maybe 1/16 or .080?)

Can we get a little more "why" in addition to the "what" from you?

Yes! I don’t know exactly what you mean but please let me know. I’m trying to bring as much value as I can

Replace your cup dude. Those are consumable. I love everything you do, but that's just a bad habit.
