Finally someone has explained what the building that looks like books that have fallen over in a bookcase is. I've seen it in every video about Tromso and always wondered what it was. Now I know it's Polaria.
Hahaha yeah the shape is definitely unusual! It was a fun experience actually, lots of interesting information and facts about the Arctic and our planet 😌
Hope this video about Tromso was helpful! You can also use our comprehensive TRAVEL PLANNER to easily organize your trip. It's a printable & digital PDF of 50+ pages to coordinate every aspect of your trip. 👍 Get 50% OFF here: worldwildhearts.hopp.to/travel-planner
Hi. Zac and Ine. I love all of your videos! I live in Tromsø and I think you did a great job showing the diversity of Tromsø (the nature, the city and different things to do). Just a small note about the Midnight sun. In Tromsø you can see the Midnight sun from mid-May to mid-July (not until mid-June as said in the video). BTW, you got the name of the Blåisvatnet in the Lyngen Alps correct. Although It is sometimes called Blåvatnet. (without «is» in the middle). «Is» means ice, so the name translates to «the Blue Lake» or «the Blue ice Lake»
Thanks for clarifying!! We were so confused by the two names used for Blåvatnet, but now it makes all sense. We actually found that a lot in Norway, different names (similar but different) for a mountain or hike lol. I think the mid-June was a mistake written because in my script I had "18 May to 26 July" for the Midnight Sun! Makes sense as the 21st of June is the longest day of the year. Sorry for that, but thanks for pointing that out!
@@worldwildhearts I definitely will do as I’m hoping to make it to Svalbard soon 🤞🏼 Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧 Your Lofoten vlog blew me away yesterday 👏🏼outstanding
Thank you for sharing the video! I'm planning a Nordic Trip for December of this year, and this is super helpful with my planning process (i.e. how many days should I allot per city/town). It looked like you all had a great time! I'm excited to visit Tromso! :)
That’s awesome! Have a great trip. We have a full northern Norway + lofoten travel guide & road trip itinerary video coming out next week Saturday (17th of September!). That one might be even more useful
Gexcellent video and commentary. You guys are still wearing jackets in this video, when were you there? We will visit in early Mar, perhaps not all the activities you showed are relevant in March though we loved what you have done.
Hi Zac and Ine, Great video, I believe you were there in August? I know the chances are slim, but any chance to see the Northern Lights or sky is mostly clouded at this time of the year? We'll be there for 2 nights at the end of August, but it looks like seeing the Northern Lights will be the same as hitting the jackpot!! Many thanks! Marcio
Hi ! Hi !........ 1) The mountain condition for hiking to Blaisvatnet in Lyngen Alps by the ordinary young and old (aged 65) people is still ok in Early-Nov ? Many Thanks.
The trail itself is quite flat and easy (though long). But not sure what the weather conditions would be around that time... maybe there'll be snow which might make it difficult to stay on the trail

Not 100% sure since we were there in August ourselves so no snow then. We did find this information about weather in October from the Visit Tromso website: “Put on your wool and warmest jacket and join the Arctic Winter Wonderland in Tromsø. We usually see the first snow in October, and from there on it gets darker (and colder) day by day.”
@@worldwildhearts I really like it here. So much Nature. You can also take a look to our Videos, if you want. Its not that good like yours, but we will be better.

Paying to see the Northern lights on screen in Norway would be like going into a strip club and reading a play boy in the bathroom. Great video though. You’ve got a new sub.
Silliest comment I have ever seen! My trip to Tromsø was one of my favorite vacations I have ever been on. I rode on a dog sled, learned about the history of polar expeditions, saw the northern lights, fed reindeer and learned about Sami culture, the only protected indigenous group in Europe. It was gorgeous and fascinating and when I went, in February, it seemed absolutely otherworldly, still and quiet with dancing lights above, it felt like being on another planet. Just because it’s not Hawaii or Rome or Paris or something doesn’t mean it isn’t a great place to visit.
Sounds like an awesome winter experience! 🤩 we would love to visit at that time! Summer was magical too as the hiking was beautiful and we learned tons in the musea!
Im from Tromsø. And this makes me happy by seeing that norway also is a popular country☺️
Absolutely!
it is, looking forward to my internship at university library Tromsø in 2025
also? Norway is literally the dream country

Thanks for the video, Norway is nothing short of being spectacular. I went to Bardufoss a bit further up, such a stunning part of the world.

Hi Marcio! sorry for the late reply. Did you see the Northern Lights? we weren't luck unfortunately... but there's always a slight chance!
I read many reviews that people feel really bad for the seals
So do I. And Canada still slaughters them by the thousands! Not friendly at all

I believe you have the name on the lyngen alps wrong! When I google it in maps it comes south of tromso not in the lyngen alps.
my apologies I meant the name of the lake not the lyngen Alps. The lake you mention comes south of Tromso.

One minute before you get to the actual subject?
Don't travel to Tromsø if you're just here for the city
It's the nature around it that makes it special of course!
I live in Tromsø and have for the last 20 years, nothing to do, boring ass town
Sorry to hear that... so much beautiful nature around there!
Совершенно нечем заняться. Норвегия это мрачная страна! Это не Египет! Только скалы, вода и снег.
Depends on the activities you like to do.. lots of nature activities
What an utterly boring place to visit.
