Also to make sure he has spare 40 gallon diesel tanks, like mad max type set up extra fuel cells with seperate fuel gauges as well, all large diesel engines if they run out of diesel fuel i mean like you drive till the engine stops, needs to have a reserve, which the dash fuel gauge will let you know you have only x amount of fuel left, get fuel as soon as possible, they are very thirsty engines especially towing a trailer as well, heaps of power, but lead foot them and they drink like crazy, also have spear fuel filters and lines and pumps just in case, (Especially the radiator coolant and charge units for the coolant) if your going on a massive trip like 1,000's miles then better to be safe and prepared instead of stuck in the middle of god knows where no phone reception and 2 way or CB radio is the only way off comms, like the movie breakdown, or the hills have eyes etc . :)
Also Leroy is a drag car so its tank is only limited to so much runs, just a bit of advise dude. :)
Also trying to start a almost empty engine like that can stuff up the fuel pump, so better to prime up the fuel filters first always, that way when the engine starts it will via the pumps pull the fuel to where its required and also bleed the pumps or prime them as much as possible, even to the point of checking the fuel bowl, so put a small diesel fuel filter between the main line which goes to the main fuel filters, that way you can see it has fuel in it for sure, glass type fuel bowl etc. :)

What's so sketchy about it? Your just cruising down the interstate in yer Vette with no body panels, drag slicks, 1200 plus Bald Eagle power twin turbo race engine WITH the turbos sky high in the air, and a parachute mounted to the back. I doubt anybody even gave you a second look.

But this channel is big enough to sustain two non married dudes and it's growing at an astronomical rate.. Diesel fuel is dyed. Green for road use, red for off-road. It has to do with how the fuel is taxed. Basically the DOT will check the tanks of highway trucks to make sure they are giving the government their share.

@retsaoter - Actually there is no dye in regular on road diesel, it just has a fluorescent green color from the manufacturer which is BP if that’s what it looks like, the red dye is added for off road only and it has a different process of manufacturing as well.

I worked in a diesel engine powered electricity generating plant for 26 years and I pretty much smelled like diesel every day. The biggest benefit from that is that I never got bitten by mosquitos or any other bugs during that time. ;)
