Cheers for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered - Eeyndraw Unthinkable Equalizer (do a google search)? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to use this winning soccer betting system without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got astronomical results with it.
Cheers for the Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Eeyndraw Unthinkable Equalizer (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for discovering how to use this winning soccer betting system minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my best friend Jordan at very last got astronomical results with it.

Your video is the only way I could understand the probability, odds in favor, odds against. I tried for 2 weeks with family members who are amazing at math trying to help me and I could not understand. Plus reading the examples in the text and taking extensive notes. Still no dice. I needed to get this for me to do well in my MAT-144 class. I cannot thank you enough for explaining it so simply so this tired momma could understand.
I Just want to comment again as I repeated the video for the second time and for the first time understand those terms, very simple explanation. Thank you so much.
It was advanced algebra that kept me from advancing in college; I simply didn't have the patience in my 20's to deal with it. Now, in my 50's, I think I can deal with the challenges math presents.
Yes, sometimes students are in a different place after high school or college and are ready to revisit these topics. Glad my videos can play a small part in helping you.
How about calculating odds for football (soccer) game ? Is it the same way ? How I can know or find favorable and unfavorable number to calculate odds ?
Great. SImply Clearly explained. And I like your speed of talking and way of teaching. Hello Mr Maio's I am interested in lottery pick 3 and I have discovered something. but nobody can understand and believe me. I want to know some matchatician or teacher to hear me out.
So gambling odds are given favorable/unfavorable in the house’s perspective and you’re taking unfavorable/favorable perspective? if you’re taking betting odds of 3/1 The house have is looking at 3 wins to your 1 Basically gambling odds are your chance of losing/your chance of winning?
@@MariosMathTutoring Mario, Can I play a lotto game numbers from 1-35 game is on everybody. OK so I guess 5 numbers more than likely I'm wrong so I don't use them and I throw out the numbers from the night before cause what are the odds of the numbers being exakly everynight. Can you give me other tips on how to play?
how do you calculate probability when the event is biased. For example, a biased coin tossed has a 75 % chance of being tails, how do you go ahead with the problem with this situation.
Hi! I was wondering if you can help with these two questions.. 1. If the Knicks are +150 to win the game, was is that expressed as a %? 2.if you see -120 as the odds of something happening, what is the probability of that occurring
It can be expressed as a probability (chances of success divided by total possible outcomes) or as odds in favor of winning (favorable outcomes :unfavorable outcomes). However in general I don’t recommend playing the lottery...your best bet is investing in yourself : )
Thanks for the video, why do both concepts exist? I mean in what situation would you want to think in terms of odds rather than probability? It seems like the formulas are based on words the mean the same thing. So probability is success (which is favourable right?) divided by total possible outcomes (which we would consider unfavourable)? What does odds tell me that probability doesn't?
The probability that an event will occur is the fraction of times you expect to see that event in many trials , and the odds are defined as the probability that the event will occur divided by the probability that the event will not occur
In Warren Buffett’s book Snowball, he mentions that if there’s a 10% chance of failure, and you do it every year for 50 years, you have a 99.5% of failing. Do you know of an equation that would allow me to calculate this so I can change the percentages and number of years? Thanks
Hey I play a lotto game numbers from 1-35 I guess numbers then I throw them out cause nitrogen likely I'm wrong. Can u give me another I idea. My method works half way
Thank you, I have two or three questions : in experimental probability, what are the factors that determine it? for example in european roulette there are 36 numbers in addition to a single zero, so the number 8 ( for example ) must come in 37 spins ( theoretically ) but experimentally may come after 70 or 80 spins ( or maybe more ), me and others talk about luck that if you are very lucky, 8 will come in first spin and vice versa, is there a definition of luck in math? or is there any explanation by numbers to this luck how to happen ?
You have asked some very interesting questions some of which you correctly answered yourself. As far as a definition of luck in math I'm not aware of...only probability ....but maybe some of the video's viewers might know the answer...+المرأة العصرية
hey can you help/ if i play a lottery and gota choose 5 numbers out of 1 to 59. what are my odds of winning. it states 1 in 834000 but how if you do 59 x 58 x57 x56x55 devided by 5 factorial it come out as 5 million to 1 but the lottery site states1 in 834000?
Hi there nice explanation for all video but there is one thing i wound like you to clear up. I have an upcoming test tomorrow and and can you please clear up about the odds in favor and odds against, wouldn't odds against be 1/3 and odds in favor be 3/1
Just remember that with odds it is the ratio of ‘what you want’ to ‘what you don’t want’ whereas with probability it is ‘what you want’ to the ‘total possible outcomes’. Hope that helps! Good luck on your test!

@@MariosMathTutoring u deserve it..
I have been struggling with odds for about a day now- 33 seconds in ~ and I finally understand 😭😩 thank you
Same
It was straightforward but textbooks made it so complicated.
Thank u sir
I got a question. If the odds against something are 23:57, what are the odds for? And what is the probability that it will happen
57:23 odd for and i don't get what your second question is
"odds against" = 23 / 57, so: "odds for" = receprical of "odds against" = 57 / 23
Also: "odds for" = ( *favorable* (1) / not favorable ), but: ( favorable + not favorable ) = 57 + 23 = *all events* (2)
But, the definition of the theoretical probability is comprised of things we already know: (1) and (2). Namelly:
"probability for" = *( favorable / all events )* = 57 / 57 + 23 = 57 / 80 = *0.7125*
"probability against" = ( 1 - "probabilty for" ) = 1 - 0.7125 = *0.2875*
(Another way: "odds for" = "probability for" / "probability against" = "probability for" / 1 - "probability for"
We know: "odds for", so we can solve for: "probability for" through the above equation)
This is the best video on Odds and Probability
